5 pointsWell....this is going to spark a debate or two!!! Driver Ratings for F1® 2020 are now here, with some on the link below. The drivers, including those in the F2 category, are scored from 1-99 across four categories – Experience, Racecraft, Awareness and Pace – with those scores based on real-world data. The scores the drivers are given will then affect their on-track performances in the game, as well as helping players unlock certain features and technical upgrades. So, what categories are the drivers scored on? Experience – A higher experience score will help players collect a greater number of ‘Resource Points’, used in the game to buy car upgrades. Racecraft – A higher racecraft score allow the driver to unleash more effective overtakes. Awareness – A higher score here will mean the driver is less likely to lose control of their car when the going gets tough. Pace – Quite simply, the higher the pace score, the more rapid a driver will be throughout a race. So that’s the scoring system explained – and below, we’ll be showing you the driver ratings for all 20 of the racers on the 2020 F1 grid. We start with the Red Bull, Racing Point and AlphaTauri pairings – and check back over the coming days as we reveal the scores for the rest of the drivers. 3 pointsThis is great to see. I do hope we can edit them manually in game though. I imagine there'll be some scores we disagree with. Regardless, this is a step in the right direction.

2 pointsNot all of it, but the ones that already have been announced, like Ricciardo to Mclaren and Sainz to Ferrari, when you play career those moves happen unless "you" sign with one of those 2 teams.
-
2 pointsDriver training in your team is confirmed so yes. As for third party editing, I am guessing it will be possible on PC but not console.
-
2 pointsAgree with this, the moves we know about should be in game. Maybe even as an option so people have the choice

1 pointHi everyone, Back at it again with the new features for you to try out..... this time Spectator Shortcuts (for PC). C Toggle Camera Type D Cycle Detail state G Cycle Gap state T Cycle Telemetry state L Cycle Lap Data state SHIFT + 1~0 Change focus car to the car in position N + 10 There’s been a few requests for things like this from a few users, and I'm happy to be able to tell you about a feature we have brought over from our esports arena to the main release of the game. Please let us know how you get on with these 🙂

1 pointAny flight fans on here waiting for the Microsoft sim to release on the Xbox? I considered buying a new computer a few years ago that had the spec to be able to run the PC version but the missus put a stop to that!......'you've already got a console why do you need a new computer?' Anyway.....I'll be checking this game out when it gets released. I'm already checking out joystick/Xbox compatibility.

1 pointOne thing the game has added over the past 3 years is more realistic lighting which is great, but one of the side effects is the fact the game always looks hazy. I watched both the Formula E esports and the F1 esports yesterday and while the F1 game had better graphics its always looks like they are racing in fog. I really think codemastres should try and fix the haze issue that's been around the past 2 games and is still in F1 2020. Heres a good example this is what the e sports looked like in clear weather Baku, looks like fog lol @RedDevilKT Can the team take a look at the haze in the upcoming F1 2020 game Compared to real life just some heat haze in the middle no fog style haze effect
-
1 pointOn the other hand, there's no reason to suspect F1 2020 will have any fewer bugs, but it will cost a lot more.

1 pointI was hoping for pre career editing of drivers. Training is fine will be intresting to see the game evolve overtime as drivers get better/worse I wonder if codies have also put like potential ratings in to stop every driver having the ability to 99 in every catagory. If not they really should no one should be able to reach the levels of the legend Mahaveer Raghunathan

1 pointSure, I was playing at 100+ before started with consoles. No, PC market is not good for games. Consoles are much better. MS has small gaming busines and big PC business, that's why MS is there. Sony doesn't care too much. Why Rockstar games always starts with biggest brands with consoles only? Who would play on a TV? I always played on gaming monitors. It's not dumb, it's OK if you are fast. Slow people are OK with 30 FPS slideshow but I can't imagine that. 60 FPS was standard on consoles 20 years ago so it's time to speed up a little.

1 pointThis bug must be exclusive to Full Qualifying or Simulation damage as I've never seen it in Short Qualifying with Full damage. Sure, the cars have a propensity to run into each other after the AI takes control but this is part of the lack of awareness of the AI it just drives the racing line. Try setting your sessions to Full damage the next time you run? Unlikely it will ever be patched in F1 2019 but there is a chance we can get this right for F1 2020.

1 pointI was reading an article on realsport101 about the Renault career mode and I came across their idea of implementing team orders. "The best way to bring in a viable team orders system would be to add it to the long list of things you can radio into Jeff during a race. The main one will be requesting the #2 driver to move aside, but you could also request a different strategy option or tell your #2 to run long. These would bring a serious benefit to being a #1 driver somewhere and even make you seriously consider staying a #1 at McLaren over being a #2 at Ferrari, for example. There would also need to be penalties for being an insubordinate teammate. Maybe your pitstops would be a little slower, or the team would take an upgraded part away from you like we saw happen to Mark Webber at Red Bull. All of this would add to the realism of career mode, while you could remove the function for online races." (Click here to view article) It made me think about how much team orders would add when thinking about moving teams, would you be given a chance to win at Ferrari or Red Bull should you become their number two driver? I am sure the developers could add this as a on/off system in the game for those who wish to run such a system. I think Codemasters are making the right steps for F1 2020 and who knows, maybe they have implemented this feature for My Team but we are yet to get details on that. I hope this is something they are considering though. I've seen Paul Jeal mention before that they have many ideas such as a pre-season test but it just isn't time for that yet. There isn't much they can add to the base career mode except small improvements each year and I think team orders would be a subtle one that would add so much to the game. Please feel free to make your own comments and ways in which they could implement the feature.

1 pointI already linked to the Emptybox video which explains this, but to give a more practical example (which is also referenced briefly in my SUBARU video): Go to Time Trial Drive a few runs until you have put in a clean time Look at the Leaderboard Find a guy who is 1 second faster than you and set them as a Ghost Drive again until you beat that Ghost Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you reach your skill ceiling On my stream last Friday I was driving the Porsche 911 SC RS, the same car and Stage I drove for the Car of the Week video on DIRT's YouTube. In less than 2 hours I was able to gain 12 seconds with this method, and take my relative pace in that car from Clumban level to Masters. I even beat @Mike Dee's time on that Stage, and since he's one of the best RWD drivers I know, that's a real accomplishment, and it came from driving with a tangible goal in mind.

1 pointUh-oh... My wife is up to something, she's being all secretive. Had a parcel delivered yesterday...she never orders things online. I suspect shes planning something for my 30th in 2 and a half weeks. Now the question is? Do i strive to find out what or just leave it and be pleasantly surprised (hopefully!)?

1 pointIt could be part of F1 2020 because no one is allowed to show the Mercedes car in the beta

1 pointI love this game. Maybe graphically this is not the level of Gran Turismo Sport, but when it comes to driving model and fun, GRID wins by several lengths. The driving model is arcade, but clever and fun. There is a very strong "one more race" syndrome here. Lots of classic cars and muscle cars. I love driving my Alpine A110 at full speed in the rain . Something beautiful. At a high level of difficulty, artificial intelligence is a very good rival. If I knew that this game is so addictive I would buy a long time ago. Great job, Codemasters 👏. A really good game 👍. A perfect springboard from all these serious half simulators. GRID is very similar to Driveclub in terms of entertainment, but in Driveclub there are only modern cars and I prefer classics. I recently bought two games: GRID and DiRT Rally 2.0. Both excellent. E: I remembered one fatal defect: Polish translation is rubbish. Work of an amateur, really unacceptable for the game off the shelf AAA. Voice-over recordings are good. Quite ok. But the level of translation of the text and the errors it contains is like spitting in the face. Translations into Polish never been high quality in your games. But what is in GRID passes human understanding. This should not be. You should hire a professional for this job. I am allowed to use Google translator. A professional company with many years of game development traditions should not. Shame. So good game with such a flaw. I give 8/10 for the game. But translation, 2/10.

1 pointI'd add: -"Live Season Updates", as seen in FIFA, e.g. after every 3 real life races, Codemasters updates all the relevant values for us, as a service. -"Editor Mode", for Car performance/ Team performance/ Driver performance, as seen in FIFA, to manually adjust these values ourselves from within the game, without having to mod any files externally. Car performance values could consist of downforce, grip, tyre wear / heating, engine wear / heating, engine power, ers efficiency, ers wear, suspension flexibility etc. Team performance values could consist of strategy accuracy, pitcrew proficiency, budget value in tessource points, strictness for expectations etc. Driver performance values could consist of overall speed, speed in wet weather or changing conditions, overall consistency, consistency in wet weather or changing conditions, car management for tyre/ engine/ ers/ fuel, aggressiveness, overtaking and defending "Trickkiste" or trickbox in english for more dynamic racing lines, stamina, strength, cornering speed, throttle management or smoothness, braking management or smoothness, reflexes for better starts or to avoid contact with debris or crashed cars, spacial awareness, character e.g. some drivers being good at the start of the season and lose momentum quickly whilst others gradually get better as the season progresses etc. Obviously, all of this would need a complete overhaul of how the game is being designed, and would take some serious amount of hours put into heavy work from Codemasters. I personally would expect maybe F1 2021 or F1 2022 to have such detailed and sophisticated features at the earliest time possible. But going from Codemasters trackrecord, we might never ever see this in their games at all. Hopefully i'm wrong, and Codemasters got some great software in development for the launch of the new gen consoles. Only time will tell.

0 pointsThis sounds absolutely horrible imo. If the actual user gameplay performance is messed with by nerfing pace or randomly throwing your car out of control because of low awareness than I wont even play my team.
