Yep this is something that I really can't understand why it isn't already in the game. The reason given years ago was that it would frustrate players... Can easily be tuned for all players with an option of On/AI only/Off though. It makes winning a championship very easy when your car is indestructible but your rivals drop out of 3-4 races. Personally at the moment, I sometimes do a dice roll before a race to choose which engine parts to use to make up for it and if they're nearly broken..so be it, theres my random failure for the season. Still anti climactic though as I'll probably know beforehand whether I'm finishing or not. Also fully agree with MrHawk. That god awful slowmo after terminal damage needs to go! Hated that since 2010.

It might actually be a good Grid game since it doesn't use the current codemasters graphics engine and was created by a team that knows what people expect in a game.

One thing the game has added over the past 3 years is more realistic lighting which is great, but one of the side effects is the fact the game always looks hazy. I watched both the Formula E esports and the F1 esports yesterday and while the F1 game had better graphics its always looks like they are racing in fog. I really think codemastres should try and fix the haze issue that's been around the past 2 games and is still in F1 2020. Heres a good example this is what the e sports looked like in clear weather Baku, looks like fog lol @RedDevilKT Can the team take a look at the haze in the upcoming F1 2020 game Compared to real life just some heat haze in the middle no fog style haze effect

Seeing as the 2020 game is in beta right now theres so many little things that i expect that won't be added that the game needs, the bits that just make the game feel like a game in 2020. There's no text chat at all, no way to communicate other than the voice chat has no volume control and is also from 2005, (also no easy access to quick mute during game as no quick menu you have to fully pause). just give us a text chat please in-game and in the lobbies its needed. Allow us to communicate with ease and smoothly in text and through voice chat please its archaic currently. The inconsistincies in the sound because the settings don't apply to certain cutscenes in the career, or areas like the driver laptop/garage in career is so loud even though settings are appropriately set, same for the menu intro everytime the game loads up, no one wants to be defeaned by the intro. also if you want too get a more mainstream audience then make two game modes a more arcade/simcade and a simulator, the biggest criticism i hear about this game from serious sim players is the game isn't as good physics wise as other simulators but the open wheel racing in other games is so lacking that this IP fills the role as the best formula 1 racer. Fill that need, listen to the F1 drivers that have been constantly playing your game they have feedback. but like actually listen don't take there feedback then continue to cater to the amateur player, it doesn't work. penalties and crashing. For the events and streams that you do and continue too do, you need a person doing the reviews make it legit, make it like f1 and give yourself the ability to take away penalties and give penalties. in other words if you can can control that remotely that would be great, just for the live events feel like most other esport level games have that ability to control the game ? I didn't try too hard to come up with this, and I've only got 40 hours on 2019, but too many sports games are being wasted by the people who have the exclusive licenses, you all know who, and you codemasters are also fault too that too. if anyone has anything else to add please do or just delete this post because its too harsh? (also i didn't put everything, i think the servers kinda suck for such a small player base, the menus are bulky and slow and run hot some reason, track boundaries and penalties, HUD still sucks)

Myrealracing.club there are also some Facebook groups you can join. Other groups are not public. But you could apply for membership.

I heard it takes a man year to do a track. At best Hockenheim might be possible since it was in the 2019 game, but I doubt it.

I know that a lot about 2020 season is still unclear and venues in limbo. I was wondering however if there will be a feature to create the real calendar in F1 2020. meaning that you can drive twice in Austria and silverstone e.g. and that the GP’s have the real name. So Austrian GP and GP of Steiermark? i think it would be cool because it would be the first time ever we could actually drive the whole season in real time. Every race on the same day like the real drivers.

Already was said in the Lee Mather interview that they won't be adding anymore tracks as it takes too long to make them, it took them over a year of development time to make Zandvoort and Hanoi
  9. 1 point
If they add them I'd expect it for free. I'm buying a fully licensed game that should represent the current season. I don't expect to have to pay more down the line due to changes. That being said, if they don't add them due to the work (definitely most likely) I won't be angry. Designing however many new tracks for a one-off would take such a long time when they would usually use that time to develop next years game.

Difficult to say what Codies would do. I think a lot of us would buy the new tracks though if they went down that route, would add a new challenge.

Maybe Slightly mad studio could help they have Portimao and Imola, Project Cars series
  12. 1 point
Yeah I agree. That could be a real problem. Licensing issues and time. So probably the answer is no. We get what was the original plan and we can at least decide on which tracks we want to race in 2020.

A bigger question is what happens if F1 adds extra tracks, like Imola, Mugello, Hockenheim or Portimao... 2020 real life season as DLC perhaps? Making new tracks won't be cheap 😕

I know this is an old post but nationality 87 is Barbados (ISO Numeric Code 052) Also it seems you do not get event packets unless you are a participant of the race. You will get DRSE, DRSD, SSTA and SEND, but that's it.

Congrats @PJTierney now you can abandon the game/community like the rest of Codemasters team. Sorry that we did not manage our expectations better, we thought more of Codemasters! Didn't bother providing a game with proper multiplayer setup! Didn't bother with providing a good range of cars/tracks on release! Didn't bother implementing damage system properly! Didn't bother with different race formats! Couldnt even be bothered to tell us if there are plans for future content or bug fixes! Rather than the "Manage Expectations" line we get, maybe it should be "CBA"

Here a little article from racefans.net George Russell says he is surprised by the improvements Codemasters have made to how cars handle in F1 2020, the upcoming new edition of the official Formula 1 game. Russell revealed on social media he was “shocked” by the improvements he felt in a version of F1 2020 he played recently. The will go on sale on July 10th. “I’ve recently played the new F1 game and it was super-good,” said Russell in a conversation with Sergio Perez. “I was really surprised.” Perez, who entered the F1 2019-based Virtual Grand Prix series for the first time last weekend, described the difficulties he had getting the car to turn the way he wanted it to in the previous game. “It’s all in the downshifts,” said Russell. “You’ve got to use the downshifts at the right time. It’s so difficult in this game. But the new one is really good, none of this stupidness is there.” The game developer Codemasters say they have made several changes to F1 2020 based from feedback from drivers such as Lando Norris. The McLaren driver previously said he would recommend serious racers play iRacing or rFactor instead of the official F1 game. Last month a Formula 1 spokesperson indicated the sport could offer an official simulator game in the future. If this is true, then it seems like u did a great job guys. I'm very excited for the 7th of July 🙂

For me Carlin will finally make it to F1. Love the livery and what they do for junior racing.

Well, considering it's supposed to be (C)ommunity (A)ssisted (R)acing (S)imulator i'm not even sure how they can call it Project CARS any more because, as has already been officially quoted, it's not 100% simulation and from here on in you can completely forget about any future development being community assisted.

man these were good old days... 100% Race after 1,5 hour of racing suddenly you get an electronic, engine or gearbox failure in the last lap and your race is over....damn that was hard but really appriciated the race finish. Sometimes you could save it and go to the pits....

seriously? ..... Geoff Crammonds GP2 had engine failures already 😛 well ok I just thought I am lucky, then this is a big minus point now for F1 2019
