19 pointsHi everyone, You all thought we were done for today, didn't you? On the back of 2 weeks of very successful and useful BETA testing, we have had extensive feedback from our current player base and we are looking at putting those into action. For BETA Week 3, with date TBC, I'm delighted to announce we will be DOUBLING the amount of BETA testers for the program!! This is due to the overwhelming feedback and our desire to test and improve the Multiplayer experience for F1® 2020. To do this, we need more drivers in lobbies, battling it out online and making sure our experience performs to standard. I have already compiled a shortlist, so please, no applications and messages to request. Any messages of this nature will just be deleted. This list was compiled over the following conditions: Previous applications completed correctly in full upon original BETA sign-up. Users record with Codemasters, having no previous incidents where adding a person is deemed potentially unhelpful to the BETA testing experience. Defined conditions on what game-modes they wanted to test. Adding Multiplayer as a priority was essential here. If unsuccessful, don't worry. We had a record amount of applications and, even with the numbers doubled, couldn't even get close to all applicants on. If you are successful and receive a code and access in the next week, congratulations. However, the current BETA standard is incredibly high. Also, remember you have been added to race in the Multiplayer arena of the game. Please get used to the new-look forum, and follow the lead of the new testers. All information will be in the forums waiting for you 🙂 . Codes are TBC as to when they will be sent out to users, we just wanted to give you as much information as early as we can! This makes Week 3 by far the BIGGEST BETA test we've ever conducted. We want to make the Multiplayer experience the best it can be, and we hope you appreciate our new effort in getting much more information and racers than ever before!

6 pointsHi! This issue has been present in almost every F1 game from Codemasters. I don't understand why we cannot have the option to make the names in the position table convert to abbreviations (Why do we need to write our own abbreviations when starting a career then?). It is quite uncomfortable to see how much space it takes just to show nothing at all. This year we are going to get, finally, a real time gap between the drivers in front and behind (plus adding two more driver slots, although we should have the option to have all the 20 driver's list). Please, consider to quit this empty space to make the HUD a more clean, useful and beautiful tool for the player. At least bring the option to customize it. You have said before that the reason we didn't have the complete driver's list was because of the lack of space. Yet, you give us an enormous HUD which is not even used for anything. Right now, we could have the BEST HUD ever, if we just had the chance to fix it. Sorry if my words sound harsh. That is not my intention. I like everything we have seen of the game, but there are still some details (such as this one) that are so simple and easy to notice, and could be great improvements if done well. Thanks.

5 pointsI agree it should be an option, maybe it's a three level option Mechanical failures: * AI and player * AI only * Off To me it only really makes sense to be an option in career/my team, as the player has control over durability and car wear, but I don't see why it couldn't be used in Grand Prix mode if the player wants. I agree it should stay out of Online (including leagues) as the player has no control which would be infuriating for random failures.

2 pointsWith the addition of the "My Team" Career mode in singleplayer, allowing you to become the 11th team on the grid and allowing 22 cars to be racing together... my question/suggestion is.... Could 22 player races be done in multiplayer? Obviously this wouldn't really be possible if your using the proper F1 teams (McLaren, Renault, Ferrari etc etc) but if you were to set up a multiplayer lobby with the Multiplayer Cars (assuming that that feature will be remaining in 2020), could this allow the lobby to reach 22 racers/players + 2 spectators instead of the standard 20 + 2 spectators? Because it's not as if it really matters when it comes to teams, you just get assigned a team mate for the purpose of sharing a pit garage for pit stops and with the 11 teams in the "My Team" Career mode, there will already, in theory, be 11 pit garages and 22 starting positions allocated to each track. This is more me wondering and just thinking out loud.

1 pointI reckon it depends on outside help to speed thing's up a bit. Getting it ready for launch is impossible. They have had help with an F1 game before. There's no reason it can't happen again. As the official F1 game I see they have little or no choice plus some mid season DLC would be nice. See what happens in time I suppose.

1 pointI am plotting my ideas but am scared of going over budget lol 20 days until I can test my theory I guess lol

1 pointThanks BarryBL. I have my fingers and toes crossed in hopes I get an invite!

1 pointWill we have free access to go to these departments (areo, engine, simulator room) at any time?

1 pointI like to joke that the Level 0 aero department is just a guy with a Tamiya model and a desk fan 😄 Those facilities look pretty cool though, guess it's time to break out the spreadsheets and find optimal strats, just like the classic Final Fantasy days 🙂 Also, I want this guy's sim rig:

1 pointHave others reported this? Seems to be okay on PC. From a customisation and livery point, yes, you can edit the look of your nose, wing etc. However, the 11th team is available as you use the FOM Multiplayer car as it base, and will not change in terms of physical look and structure. Also, teams wont be able to make its own engine due to only official F1 engine suppliers are allowed to be used. Upgrades to those engines however can be done through R&D as with 2019

1 pointLooking so good, can't wait to play this! Mad respect to Codemasters, didn't have too much to expect from this year's game, they could have just done "F1 2019.5" because of this current situation and because this is the last game for this generation of consoles. Well done guys 👏

1 pointSimply not good enough if they don’t. Like i say, absolutely understand they wont be there at release, how can they be, but to be the official 2020 game they will have to patch them in. I really dont see they have any choice. Surely they have to scrap the F2 update and anything and everything else they are working ok, and get the actual tracks in the game as a priority.
-
1 pointI imagine they will update it at a later date (possibly when the F2 2020 grid is added)

1 pointWe need to keep bumping this thread until it gets the attention it deserves. I still have a virtual drive mounted just to play the old games for this very reason.

1 pointI already linked to the Emptybox video which explains this, but to give a more practical example (which is also referenced briefly in my SUBARU video): Go to Time Trial Drive a few runs until you have put in a clean time Look at the Leaderboard Find a guy who is 1 second faster than you and set them as a Ghost Drive again until you beat that Ghost Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you reach your skill ceiling On my stream last Friday I was driving the Porsche 911 SC RS, the same car and Stage I drove for the Car of the Week video on DIRT's YouTube. In less than 2 hours I was able to gain 12 seconds with this method, and take my relative pace in that car from Clumban level to Masters. I even beat @Mike Dee's time on that Stage, and since he's one of the best RWD drivers I know, that's a real accomplishment, and it came from driving with a tangible goal in mind.
-
1 pointHonestly, and I'm not trying to sound like a **** here, it seems like you've wasted tens of thousands of km's by driving without a purpose or clear goal. With that much distance behind the wheel and that much seat time, you should be able to beat Clubman pretty comfortably. It sounds like you've just been driving, not actively driving. What I mean by that is you are not analyzing what you did wrong or where you can be faster. You aren't trying to do anything to increase your skill ceiling, you're just driving hoping something just changes within you and you're faster. Have you ever stopped to watch a twitch/youtube run of a stage you really like and see how someone faster than you would drive it? Have you ever sat down in time trials and actively tried to get much faster on a specific stage? Somewhere you can practice driving very aggressively and test out new techniques? No not DirtFish, that location only helps precision but not stage speed. You also seem to want to exclude people from using a part of the game. CPUs and AI aren't meant for the fastest drivers? Since when? When has "legendary" or "insane" difficulty ever been in any game and not been designed for the top players? Sure, 100% AI shouldn't be balanced against the eSport drivers (and it isn't; the AI times are not even close and much slower) but it also shouldn't be so easy that everyone can stroll through the final difficulty. That was one of the biggest complaints in DR1 - the AI was pathetically slow at Masters. They fixed that for DR2.0

1 pointFor me Carlin will finally make it to F1. Love the livery and what they do for junior racing.
-
1 pointNot sure Kenny from the Block is the best example you could have given to prove your point there...
-
1 pointThe more the merrier! Sounds great to me to have the option to use those 2 spectator slots for extra grid space.
