Hi everyone, You all thought we were done for today, didn't you? On the back of 2 weeks of very successful and useful BETA testing, we have had extensive feedback from our current player base and we are looking at putting those into action. For BETA Week 3, with date TBC, I'm delighted to announce we will be DOUBLING the amount of BETA testers for the program!! This is due to the overwhelming feedback and our desire to test and improve the Multiplayer experience for F1® 2020. To do this, we need more drivers in lobbies, battling it out online and making sure our experience performs to standard. I have already compiled a shortlist, so please, no applications and messages to request. Any messages of this nature will just be deleted. This list was compiled over the following conditions: Previous applications completed correctly in full upon original BETA sign-up. Users record with Codemasters, having no previous incidents where adding a person is deemed potentially unhelpful to the BETA testing experience. Defined conditions on what game-modes they wanted to test. Adding Multiplayer as a priority was essential here. If unsuccessful, don't worry. We had a record amount of applications and, even with the numbers doubled, couldn't even get close to all applicants on. If you are successful and receive a code and access in the next week, congratulations. However, the current BETA standard is incredibly high. Also, remember you have been added to race in the Multiplayer arena of the game. Please get used to the new-look forum, and follow the lead of the new testers. All information will be in the forums waiting for you 🙂 . Codes are TBC as to when they will be sent out to users, we just wanted to give you as much information as early as we can! This makes Week 3 by far the BIGGEST BETA test we've ever conducted. We want to make the Multiplayer experience the best it can be, and we hope you appreciate our new effort in getting much more information and racers than ever before!

I’ve finally had a brainwave! As we are under a month away from F1 2020 being released, and we all need our racing fix, I’ll be adding one-off events for a bit of fun. This week is a F2 race meet around the Hungaroring, featuring both a 25% sprint race and a 50% feature race. Open lobby, so first 19 people to join me at that time will meet me on track. Anything interesting or funny happen? For recordings and stuff, also add them here for all to have a laugh at. This is a VERY laid-back event, and as long as its raced in good spirits, all should enjoy! No points or prizes, just a bit of racing to start your weekends! PC Platform, sorry.

Just realised if you pick Nicholas Latifi in My team in F1 2020 as a team mate from the F2 2019 line up there will be 2 Nicholas Latifis on the grid 🤣

Just a guide to what the game is weighted towards, but here's a list of the achievements/trophies for F1 2020: https://www.trueachievements.com/game/F1-2020/achievements

Hello, I was wondering if there is any way to reset a member of my club time? He had a power outage in the middle of his first stage and gave him a DNF time. Not a big deal as this club is really just for fun but I thought I'd ask if there was a way to reset his first stage. Thanks!

@dwin20 I’m sorry but I feel you missed some very important facts. 1: nascar ran their virtual series on iracing, not the official licensed video game “nascar heat 3”. 2: Indy ran their virtual series on iracing too, since they have no officially licensed video game. im sorry but I don’t believe in formula E and can’t say what they used for their virtual series. You are comparing apples to oranges. F1 used a “video game”. NASCAR & Indy car used a “simulation” program. It is not fair to compare a $65 a video game to a monthly paid sim program that probably cost far more a year to play then the $65 we pay for a video game. Your comparison is not accurate at all in my opinion. Gas, cash, grass or ass, nobody rides for free!

TV ratings tell a different story about how successful it was. I'll take that over some sweaty nerds opinion piece on racefans.

You're absolutely right, The fact that we end up along-side Hamilton at Mercedes or given a Ferrari seat is already in the realms of utterly farcical. The fact we are supposed to convince ourselves we are even on the grid is a bit mad, but then it is a game at the end of the day. Coming in guns-a-blazing with a billion dollars, creating a team and then plonking myself in the drivers seat is actually more realistic by comparison. Perhaps this is the narrative i'll have subconsciously - That i'm a billionaire with a point to prove, and that given the funding anyone can join Formula 1 and be successful. I run the team, and i drive for my team, and i'm setting a new precedent. I don't know though, it is a difficult pill to swallow. The other thing that's difficult for me (yes you guessed it, on a realism standpoint) is that after 2 or 3 seasons the team is going to be fighting for championships. Silly as it sounds, i might deliberately slow down my progression within the game, not buy upgrades i could afford etc, as i want a couple of seasons at the back, and then a couple more seasons perhaps scraping into the points on a good day. I don't want it to be easy, i don't want my team to turn up and within 3 seasons wipe the floor with Hamilton & Mercedes, it's just stupid. A dream would be to come in as Wilson Motorsport, be 5 seconds off like 2010 HRT or something, but then slowly make my way through the ranks, gathering manufacturer backing along the way, so that by season 8 or 9 when i'm towards the front, i'm something like Equipe' Wilson Bugatti, but this is merely a dream. Would have been decent if your title sponsor is at the beginning of your team name, F1 2021 maybe. I hope this mode is something they tweak and develop over the coming years, and not just a feature that had a year in the spotlight and then Codies moved onto something else, this thing has real potential. There's a couple of other things i'm unsure on that maybe someone here knows - Can we change our livery between seasons? (i know we can change title sponsor) Because being stuck with exactly the same livery for a decade's worth of in game time is...well, i would want to at least tweak it between seasons like Mercedes at the very LEAST. Also what about changing engine supplier between seasons? If this is possible, then having your engine supplier in your team name could be a huge F if you want to change at some point. Actually to be honest an idea that i'm warming to is the 'Lawrence Stroll' gameplan, essentially as if my dad runs the team, and i'm the driver, so a team name as something related to him, thinking... because actually my dad used to race motorbikes in the 80's, do i bring back the team he raced for? I've seen some old pictures, i could create the colour scheme at least. But then it wasn't HIS team. Damn i've been pondering over this, and rambling on a lot. For me though it's not just a case of calling it some banter name like i've seen on twitter, painting the car day-glo green and having a laugh. I want to do this properly, i was to feel as if it's real, as if this is actually me, with my own car going up against the giants. I want to make this as authentic as possible.

You can get lucky sometimes and be the only one in the race besides the AI. If so, take advantage. Happened to me 3 times. I usually have pole in my races so it really doesn't give me an advantage in terms of having to race people. I used to think I didn't earn those points in an empty lobby but now I realize it would have ended up the same in a full lobby. I find myself winning by 20 plus seconds even in a full lobby. For context, in Canada I qualified 45th overall. Even if the lobby is empty, you still have to be skilled to have quick, clean laps. Consistency is key

Yes you could, weirdly enough the matchmaking doesn't seem to be based on quali positions, it does rather on Skill rating (like Gold/Silver) as well as Safety Rating

It got bypassed actually using Goldberg Emu, when will devs realise the people who pirate it wouldn't have bought it anyway. They're wasting hundreds of thousands of £ for a DRM that increases load times by a factor of 2, punishing their paying customers. Remember when they left the Denuvo free DRM in the free weekend with F1 2018? I grabbed that and swapped it with my legit version, it was infinitely faster. Here's the side by side comparison I did. https://streamable.com/p0tjt

Just done the challenge again set the same as japandriver at very hard 91, I'm also using a PS4 console. It looks like my AI drivers time to finish within 1 minute was easier. I managed to finish within a second of first place. The time japandriver has on his photo of 49:06.865 is definitely doable though! My overall time was 50:11.087 and with more practice I think I could take another 25 seconds off it. So it's not an impossible time the AI has set. 😀

F1 Games from Codemasters Hi everyone, this player has been reported many times and we wanted to let you know that we are taking action against them. Thank you for raising it, and for reporting this kind of behaviour after duels.

Just OWNED this POS in Austin. Quali only of course. I beat him fair and square and wasn't even pushing.

I am on PS4, set at 91 and had more hassle doing that on Very Hard then any other McRae challenge thus far. I can't remember what stage times I recorded, but I had to put in two pretty much perfect flat out runs to beat it. Sure my time for the second stage was under 10 minutes.

Is anyone else having this issue? New Zealand - 1989, PS4

I actually play mostly offline on 100% race distance. So it happens to me quite frequently. @Willian Paganini I've seen your topic and think it is a good idea, but I also think it's more important to sort out the gameplay issues with the SC before we add esthetic improvements. I saw another topic where someone mentioned that the wrong car is used for the SC. That's a shame and I would like it to be updated. But I'd rather have the wrong car doing the right thing than the right car doing the wrong thing. I just do not understand why this and other race-braking errors stay in the game while they're so obvious.

Update incoming. I will be beginning to add users into the BETA forums, slowly but surely. We have 900 to do, so don't panic. Also, if you start to see the forum and not receive the code, don't panic. 900 codes is the simpler bit, its getting 900 users into the forums which takes time. To sum up, don't panic 😛

Yep. In all career mode lengths, you can chop and change to suit the tracks you race on, provided its either a 22, 16 or 10 race calendar. This will be available in MyTeam and Career mode.

I usually map Steam PTT to T so I don't press it. Looks like I'll have to map to Y instead 🙂 Are all these shortcuts going to be in a / the manual? Because to be honest, it's been a bit thin in recent years.
