4 pointsYou are mistaking the purpose of My Team. It is a Team Management simulator, not a (driver) career mode. Have you ever heard of team owners like Frank Williams getting a leg managing another team on the grid because he got sick and tired of the dream of his lifetime and legacy, Williams Racing? That's bananas! MyTeam is not about building a driver legacy. It is about creating a new team, about coming is as an unheard-of underdog and joining the fray alongside legendary teams like McLaren and Ferrari in the zenith of motorsports. Being able to jump around teams would utterly defeat that purpose. And it is not like the game mode you want to play is not contemplated in the game. That is exactly what Career mode is for. The new drivers market and probably the driver ratings are all being incorporated in the Career mode too. No need to fuzz around MyTeam if you don’t want to play as a team owner, but only as a driver. MyTeam is for being the new Frank Williams, the new Gene Haas, it is about taking the spearhead of a team managerial roles like Cyril, Toto Wolff, and Horner. Although you will still drive for your team. you’re not roleplaying as the new upcoming kid on the block from the feeder series. You got the premise so wrong it makes it harder for anyone to argue with you. Please take a moment to reconsider what MyTeam is about. You are looking for the features that make a career mode interesting, not team management mode like MyTeam. Again, you’re tackling things through a driver’s point of view. You’re not a driver that is hired by the 11th team. You are the 11th team founder that also happens to drive for it, while cumulating all managerial functions the role brings. @ZtwoA was rude, but he’s on point. On point. You’re subverting the new game mode purpose whereas Career mode is exactly the glove for your hands. If what you’re missing is the sponsorship deals – and that is the only thing I can come up with, since R&D has been a hallmark of CM’s F1 Career mode for years – go on and petition for said inclusion, but in no way shape or form CM should cannibalize MyTeam to make it MyCareer career mode 2.0.

1 pointYou should probably benefit from taking a few pointers on braking, steering, and throttling. Maybe look for someone doing a lap on a circuit you're familiar with and pay close attention to their dashboard. When they brake, when they steer into the corner, when they throttle. And how much pressure they apply on each button too. Your maneuverability is severely hindered if you try to steer with the brakes full on or if you apply the throttle too early. When you get those fundamentals down the world will open wide for you. Trail braking, short shifting, car setups... And control calibrations, too. You should be able to at least do a full lap without going over the track limits if you pace yourself. Understeering and oversteering are handling first, setup second kind of problem.

1 pointSoftware microcode update KB4497165 you may have had this if you check your Update History. Installing it can only help, the BIOS 1402 is quite outdated. USB 2.0 ports are located under the keyboard connector and not coloured blue like the USB 3.0 - also from front panel connectors connected to USB910, USB78, USB56 or USB34 along the bottom edge of the motherboard. Try the controller and the keyboard dongle in those (this is usually what I recommend for wheels so it might not have much effect). Try also disabling the Image Sharpening in the Nvidia Control Panel. Try manually editing the hardware_settings_config.xml to alter the bold items to your display recommended 3840 x 2160

1 pointYes, that technique is really rewarding if you put in the hours to get used to it. If I didn't have a analog extender I'd definitely use it, hands down. For those not in the know, your thumb's "idle" position would be moving the thumbstick forwards to 12 o'clock like if you're running with your character on an action game. When cornering, you slowly and smoothly arch your thumbstick through the whole rim until it is pointing totally sideways (3 or 9 o'clock).
-
1 pointHaven't had time to test more yet, been busy all weekend, but I have no mappings for individual gears. I did that earlier to test if that worked but it didn't so I reverted to default keyboard setup. But I'll try with the default T300 profile and see if that works. There's no difference between my custom one and the default one in that regard but just for testing I'll do it.

1 pointNo problem! After having some trouble in Hockenheim I think, I was convinced that the game wasn't registering the 100% lateral steering input when I wanted it to. I was angling the thumbstick to the sides the best I could, intending to have a complete turn, but the car wasn't complying. I opened the calibration screen. There are sliders that display how much of a 0-100% analog input the game is receiving when you press on L2, R2, Left thumbstick and Right thumbstick. It was then I noticed that when I twisted the thumbstick to the left for maximum steering input, I was actually bending it slightly backwards and getting only 96-98%. Like instead of hitting the 9 o'clock mark, I was pointing to 8 o'clock. By bumping up Steering Saturation just 3 notches, the problem was resolved. Whenever I bent the stick, I got the 100% I wanted. While there, I checked how much I needed to move the thumbstick to get a low input, like 15-20% - e.g. when you want to smoothly cross the track on a long straight without disturbing your ride. Because of the KontrolFreek extender, I have a greater arch of movement so I wanted the game to register my light steering input faster than it normally does. I did this and that but the solution I came to was bumping up Steering Linearity 6 notches. It is a subtle difference but it was night and day for me. Specially on hairpins and tight corners. Hmm.. I may have got them backwards. Just switch them around.

1 pointAgree, don't have any odd settings and start removing assists. No, you'll do well and have the 4th fastest overall time shortly😃😃

1 pointIt's a PS4-exclusive issue that seems to happen sometimes. I play on X-Box One S since launch of the game and didn't had this issue even once. And I played A LOT. Would be surprised if they finally find a fix for that.

1 pointYeah it isn't really new, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Yes other games have tried it and weren't able to fully deliver on it, but we have seen CM deliver on that kind of Dirt game before - D2 and D3 were fantastic in that regard (imo). So if D5 can capture the core game energy of D2 and D3, bring in some beautiful 2020 eye candy, and let their team just go BIG and a bit over the top with some flare to it all, I'm all in. I love Dirt Rally 2.0 and the intensity/excitement of it all, but I also have been wanting something I can throw on later in the evening just to kick back more casually while doing epic things with my buddies over. This game is definitely not going to be for everyone, and if you're looking for the next DR3 you're better of just booting up 2.0 and sharpening your skills there. But for those who are looking form something reminiscent of those late Friday nights with all of your friends in a voice chat racing around getting into wild shenanigans, I think this is going to deliver exactly what we are looking for.

1 pointFriend, be polite. This is a forum and is open to everyone's suggestions. You can't make anyone leave here, let alone think like you. If for you, my suggestions do not make sense, ok, it does not need to manifest in this way. I could say the same for you, for accepting that things are simpler and criticizing you. But in addition to being polite, I understand that you are satisfied, as it is already a big step forward for the game and for you it must be the best. About the ways to manage, I'm not talking about changing the color of an official team. Nor to change sponsors. But to manage the new facilities of the game and negotiate values with the existing sponsors of the official teams. And I'm sure that in the future, in about 2 or 3 years, all that I said will be implemented in the game and you will find it sensational. Regarding the comparison with football, in PES it is possible to negotiate with sponsors with the official teams. The environment of this forum is very hostile, people do not support different suggestions and act as lawyers for Codemasters. That must be why some things do not evolve, such as the car's damage system, where only the front wing breaks, and the engine that never breaks, unless it reaches 100% damage.

1 pointI was more thinking a season based sort of thing with friends because I'd love my team to race my friends' team in a season as well. And then legend drivers who cost in game money.

1 point@FOneFanatic im so sorry the Microsoft is doing this to you. I made a decision years ago to ban them from my household. I know I cannot completely get away from them but at any chance I can & given an non-Microsoft option, I take it. I will never buy another Xbox unless Sony quits making PlayStations & there is no other option. If I was you, I would go buy a refurbished ps4 pro to bridge the gap to the ps5 release. Then use that Xbox what it’s good for, a boat anchor!!!
-
1 pointLol it must be a joke as there is a face above the count down light unit. This has to of been programmed in!
-
1 pointI might be confused with some information from Aavara's channel where he tells what would be nice or what he suspects but I think it was mentioned that there were upgrades that were supplied by the engine manufacturers that went to all the teams with that engine.

1 pointEntry list for "All Star" event released. Includes a TBC for PS110, so that is Oliver or Petter then!

1 pointAlthough they are drivers that come with substantial backing @RPJ1984 in real-life, the drivers will still have contracts with previous teams that need to be broken, and the drivers would still receive a salary. Also, we're not quite at the level yet where if you sign Lance, you get Lawrence in your garage 😛. If we are talking about ultra-realism, in theory, Lance wouldn't move team at all because of his involvement and investment with Racing Point. Maybe in some version of the franchise in the future (unlikely tbh), but we'd want all the drivers available for you to recruit on MyTeam.

1 pointlee mather has said it takes 1 year of man power to make a new track from scratch so any tracks they dont already have a model of wont be added at a later date, if we get a race at germany this could be added but for example mugello or imola wont be added if you think it isnt good enough then you are just being unreasonable tbh

1 pointThat's a bug. In the Forum Technical Assitance you can make a bug report and maybe you will find a solution. Before you put Bug Report in the forum, read the instructions on how to create a Bug report beforehand. Hopefully I could help you further. 🙂

1 pointI'd recommend having racing line and finding your feet on the track. Try testing at one track for a long time, as the gains you will see will be based on your driving, and will translate track-to-track. I'd also recommend the base settings on your controllers for now as they are a solid base point. Remember, sometimes to go fast, you feel slow. Things like smoothness and consistency are problems for about 80% of all our drivers (me included!). Just practice, it comes with time. Then consider dropping down braking assist a little. Try and learn on 1 circuit first. At least then you'll get used to the flow of the circuit, so you can focus on driving. Auto gearbox to begin with too is important, especially at early levels.

1 pointHave a look at track guides. E.g. https://realsport101.com/racing/f1/f1-2019-australian-grand-prix-track-guide/ That will give you braking points which is a start, but be a little conservative. I have a strip under my monitor with each corner and metre braking point. More difficult is the turn in point to get round a corner cleanly with constant wheel. Ie without undershooting or overshooting the corner and clattering into the barrier - particularly on a street circuit. And it is amazing how much faster a lap time is at a slightly slower speed!! Don't think deadzones etc will help. Charles Leclerc spent 5/6 hours a day before his first virtual F1 race.

1 pointAnd that's why they need to go back to how the original grid MP setup works. No updates needed for a playlist with cheatmode, and no host needed.
