3 pointsOh come on! This is just ridiculous and I need to speak up. Why all of a sudden there should be optional liveries because there is a livery that takes a stance against racism? I didn't see anyone commenting in the Williams livery topic that the new one should be optional. And now all of a sudden there should be options to change the official car livery so there is isn't a black car taking a stance against racism in your game? It's because of this **** they had to introduce the livery in the first place.

2 pointsWhat about all those pilots eager to receive the beta code for the multiplayer... we are creating lobbies on ps4 (constructor cup) and only about maximum 4 drivers join, so you really want them to improve the multiplayer or is it that you only wanted to receive the code to play before that nobody? 🤔🤔🤔

2 points"Valterri, it's James...." F1 should be a meritocracy. It's not. Money talks, make a point about that. It tarnishes the sport (if it can still be classified as that). Turbo hybrids are greener, but go against the ethos of The Formula (which has become so diluted that I'm not even sure it has lineage). Let's go fully Tron and have done with it. Interactive race seat via Google Stadia.

2 pointsTo say that black people's struggle is an USA problem is disingenuous. If you're being honest about it, if you actually think that the whole BLM movement is an issue local to American society, I don't blame you for being so off the mark with Merc's decision: it really shows how some people have the privilege to be oblivious about a given minority strife. I am from a third world country with a poor performance on both HDI and Gini indexes. You'd think that with so much economic inequality people would have camaraderie to their fellow middle class peers but that is not true at all. Black people struggle is on a whole different level here too. Merc has a black driver on one of their seats and it just happens that not only Hamilton is one of the greatest drivers of this generation, he is one of the greatest ever. What are you suggesting? Don't be unfair, you gotta have at least an inkling of how hard it is to break the mold on such a high order of motorsports. By being not only porous but to resonate the zeitgeist like Mercedes is doing right now is without precedent. This whataboutism is nothing but tactless. Edit: @Czar90 back on topic... Right? 2019 Haas was a gem. I was disappointed with both their 2020's livery and Renault's. It is a relief to have another black car on the grid and I can't wait to see it live as 3D renders can deceive the eye.

2 pointsIf anybody is having issues with moving wheels and pedals, I suggest saving money and building your own sim-rig. I built this myself all in for under 200 bucks. I got the seat out of a 08 Chevy Cruze sport model, it adjusts every which way. 80 bucks at the wreckers. Just make sure you get a seat with slider rails that are flat and equal on both sides. That way it's level when bolted to the wood. Some wood, screws, time and black paint and voila, you have yourself a strong rig. I can kick this thing and it doesn't move. I've since added 2 more pieces of wood to the outside of the wheel uprights making it immovable. It will be the best thing you ever build.

1 pointI made an Excel spreadsheet to organize my setups, track my performance, and give me an insight on the AI levels. There are two worksheets in it. The first is for the setups and performance. There's a table for each GP and it is sectioned with the car setup and a few items I find interesting in the Practice Programs and the Qualifying rounds. Alongside the car setups you have slots to fill with setups you find online and there are two columns that will give you (1) the median average for a given slider and (2) the mode average for it – i.e. which value is the most common one, if there is one. This way if you gather a bunch of setups but some of them are outliers, it is easier to identify which ones are on the "right" ballpark. Under the setups you'll be mostly filling in with fuel usage and time laps for the different practice programs and the qualifying. There are rows to compare those laps with (1) your teammate, (2) the 1st CPU in the grid and (3) the 6th CPU in the grid. It goes without saying but you can change those parameters to your heart's desire. The second worksheet is to get a hold on the AI levels. Since your teammate is your first rival, I usually try to set the AI at a level where I'm in unceasing fight with him, either having an edge or infrequently topping him depending if I am the team’s 1st or 2nd driver. From what I heard, you should dial it up or down 1-2 notches for each 0.1 second difference, but this is my first racing game in more than a decade, it is hard as hell to get it right because I’m often improving during that session. To thwart that, instead of simply filling the worksheet with the race AI level, I do a simple average of the whole GP accordingly to the data on the main worksheet. In this second worksheet you will just fill in the AI level, the qualy laps for you, your teammate and the 1st and 6th CPU, and their respective best laps on the race. There are formulas in the delta rows and formatting rules in the cells so it should automatically calculate the delta and highlight the whole thing dependent on it being a positive or negative delta. I did a chart with the qualy deltas just to ease the visualization part of it too, but it came out dreadful. I am using a custom number format for the lap times on the whole workbook. It is [mm]:ss,000 or ss,000 depending on the context. Sorry about the comma, that’s the decimal separator I primarily use on my country and I wasn’t feeling like fiddling with Excel’s underbelly just to adapt it for the rest of the world. The file is partially filled up and it is a mishmashly hodgepodge jumble of numbers. This is not the original file and I wasn’t meticulous on duplicating everything, but at least you’ll hit the ground running already. I'm more of a Word guy, though, and it really shows. The workbook is as ugly as they come. But my intentions were good! Those with a keen eye may notice I used a few official hex codes when color coding some elements... 1 pointI saw a screenshot on reddit just now for xbox preload and it seems the game size is 42 and something Gb. So to be safe maybe have 50Gb ready.

1 pointYes I'm taking it there. An optional grey livery for Mercedes is the biggest nonsense and yes the reason behind it is because some people hate the message the black livery represents. It's not that difficult to identify racism when you see it.
-
1 pointReally? You're going to take it there? Nobody here is saying they want the silver as an option because the black livery supports racism. Stop trying to make this an issue it isnt. If someone did say it, then I missed it or ignored it for the ignorance that post would include. For the record I also did address the Williams livery as saying we should have both, but I doubt we will because of the sponsorship issues. I also fully support the transition to the black livery for Mercedes based on their reasoning. Couldn't support it more really, but that's not what we're here to discuss. For most here, I suspect it's not about what the black livery stands for, it's simply about preference of liking the silver better especially if you're a Merc fan. I'm not a Merc fan, so I couldn't care less. I just like having options. It gets a bit boring running the same livery for 10 seasons in career mode, or only have 10 liveries to choose from even in a single race mode. It's refreshing to have alternate options. I dont want them to create alternates just for the sake of having them if they aren't real, I want them to be real and yes I want the option to use them. Personally, for me, when they typically issue the patch mid season that updates liveries, I want to be able to use the OLD and the NEW even if the changes are minor. For example this year... I want Renaults normal livery AND I want the ability to use their black one from testing. I haven't seen one person say they dont want to use the black livery because of why it was created until you brought it up. Personally, I hope Codies goes and adds the pride rainbow images to the cars and uniforms/helmets where applicable too. To me, it's about customization and having options, nothing more, nothing less.

1 pointI love spreadsheets and this is amazing! Good work.

1 pointBottom line: Their car, their cash investment, their choice. Ferrari's black nose at Monza 2001 didn't ended terrorism either, but whatever makes the team united for a cause and show sympathy for tragedy struck people is worth it. If they feel good, good. It is visual communication and expression. Off from the nonsense: Black seems to fit very well to F1 cars throughout history..., and underused (temperature perhaps). Minardi 2001 was fire! Stoked to see the black mercedes at the game, the silver was becoming stale tbh.
-
1 pointWell actually Hamilton should not complain he has the privilege to start in the best cars always and in his rookie season he has Maclaren no problem on the other hand you have pilots always start from the bottom like George Russell, Max, and Leclerc :D. Lewis and merc and f1 start a diversity program. I'm from pissss poor country Bulgaria and no one gives a shiaite about us who will help us get into F1 and have a Bulgarian GP a yes no one cus we are all white privileged I want a Slavic colored themed car 😄 for support for the Slav brothers in need hahaha. BTW changing the merc livery is super easy you just change the silver layer color to black :D.
-
1 pointAgreed. Although with the black livery now being called their livery for the 2020 season, it should be the default with the silver as an option. I'd like to see the Williams Rokit livery for this year still in the game as well as an option, although with the sponsor leaving/changing I doubt we'll see that. Agree though that it would be nice if it was like the Nascar games where you can change between liveries. It would also be nice if they could build in an age verification system like the developers of Nascar Heat have done so you can see the real sponsors that may not be age appropriate for some. Doubt any of this will ever happen though as the liveries don't exactly change as often in F1 as they do in Nascar through the season.
-
1 pointYou have to thanks Mercedes's virtue signaling for this. I'm hoping for an option to play as the silver arrows. No silver merc is like no red Ferrari for me.

1 pointIs there any word yet on whether Stadia is going to have wheel support on F1 2020? OP I use the Logitech G920 (Xbox)(G29 for PS4) and I find it very good. I'm sure there are much better wheels but for a start and given the price I feel it is a good option.

1 pointThe most important thing for me is Full triplescreen support, just like in all other true sims. We must be able to correctly adjust the FOV, adjust the correction to the bezels and angle of the side monitors to get the most correct picture without distortion.

1 point_s textures are basicaly how shiny or not shiny car will be and _o isnt anything you have to care about, dont change it 😄 (Picture is not mine, it is from RD. But it nicely explains what to use for different surface)
