5 pointsNot just the ability to have our own number like we already have, but different fonts, colors, etc for My Team and the multiplayer car. Looking at people's videos, some of them look silly overlapping the way they do. Also a size slider for numbers and sponsors to help the cars look better.

4 pointsI find it quite difficult to have a certain color pallete in for example 'My Team', because everytime you have to manually get the exact same colour so that it matches up with your branding, which is quite annoying. Would be great if we can save custom/team colors as a preset or something.

4 pointsi get all of your points, but basically no invites means ranked will be dead soon. its the same every year.

3 pointsWhy has this decision been taken yet again from CM..? The Ui navigation is painful, particularly when racing in the dark. We have a mouse so why not use it.. The community ask about this with every installment yet nothing is done. It baffles me.. It is present in Dirt 2.0 so it has to be conscious decision not to enable this.. Some input from the devs would be greatly appreciated..

3 pointsI haven't bought the game yet but from videos it looks like the rear wing lights on the F1 car still haven't been fixed in F1 2020. They were never fixed in F1 2019 either. The LED lights on the top of the rear wing are meant to flash whenever the main rear light flashes at the same intensity. You can see this clearly when watching real F1. It bugs me that Codemasters work hard to simulate real life F1 yet leave this out. Is there a technical reason they cannot fix this or has it not been raised before? You can see an example of the rear lights on the Mclaren here and the Ferrari from pre-season teating here Does this bug other people as much as it does me?

3 pointsFrom what I experience so far customization of my team car is very bland, looks like you can only change some basic paint on the multiplayer car. Is there going to be an option for different chaises, halo options with winglets on top, and different materials like Ferraris carbon, or dual material like Merc have, silver on top black inside? Will there be an option to use the new trending slim noses like in real life, similar to Merc, Reno or Redbull. Are we gonna use the same basic shape of the multiplayer car for 10 seasons or we will be able to upgrade the parts visually? The basic car is so simple and boring, with no interesting design compared to the original teams. My team looks great on paper but the execution is extremely basic. I think this mode will get old very fast if those options are not introduced with an update. I was expecting you will have the option to create the silhouette of the car from the beginning using the multiplayer car is a lazy approach. I really really hope we will be able to change the geometry of the car not only the color scheme.

3 pointsI found it difficult seeing throttle input for the start due to the new bars. I was wondering - is there a chance it could be reverted to a full bar (instead of some mini bars). It makes it a lot easier to be precise and also if the colours were slightly lighter and more saturated. Other than that, I think the HUD is a nice design.

3 pointsI have a question about the myteam career mode I have just completed my career on f1 2018 (it took me 18 months as I was doing full races!). So after early sackings at Renault and McLaren, in season 3 I went to Williams. I developed them into the top team by season 6 taking a single win that season. With the car maxed out during season 7 the car slipped back down the order to last as I couldn’t upgrade the car anymore and no regulation change coming for season 8. So I was forced to move on from Williams to be competitive, joined Mercedes and won another 8 races in season 8 and 9 but no championship, then a last hurrah at Ferrari for season 10 saw no further wins but I did help Vettel win his 5th championship in game…. Which leads me to my question. I myteam I am assuming you cant move to another team. So once you ‘max’ out your car you may have the best car but then will be overtaken and slip to the bottom for the last 3 or 4 seasons, as the base rating of your team must be the lowest. There will be nothing you can do about it and you cant move to a competitive team, unless you get a regulation change but that will only give you a boost at the start of a season. Makes me wonder whether to start a myteam career or not (especially as it takes my so long to play a career!) – not sure I want to reach a later season and stuck in a uncompetitive car…. Has this occurred to anyonelse or am I wrong here?

3 pointsI just hope the department regulation changes are more frequent and adaptations more expensive, so we have some more "resets" to shake things up. Apart from the maxing out issue, I felt the cars would also become just too quick compared to the base performance, seconds quicker than a Merc in TT. With this new, much faster handling model the speed could get out of hand even more quickly without frequent department resets.

3 pointsTo be fair it shows codies have made a solid game this year as previous years this forum has been about loads of bugs at release, now its intro videos and colours of bushes lol
-
3 pointsI’ve had every F1 game and even dirt games like dirt 3 and others and never had seen a Dominican flag on any f1 game and i need it for league racing it looks bad using a “world flag” or having to use different Latin American flags just to represent my Latin community, please add all the flags in the world and never have this discussion again!

3 pointsThe important question here is: Why did Grid 2019 fail ? It did not fail because there are no Grid fans or theres no market anymore... It failed because of the many wrong decisions the dev team made... One of them is to not make a proper successor to GRID Autosport ! Another one is the fact that Grid 2019 got released with little to none QA/with so many bugs i never experienced in all Grid or Dirt games before together lol.

3 pointsMaybe the OP is just peeved because they are being beaten by some players with a controller , who have simply managed to set their cars up better and have worked out the best racing lines I just wish i could afford a wheel to play this game , but cannot justify the cost so i make do with a controller and know i am not as fast or good as a lot of players

3 pointsIt was necessary to remove the extreme micro-managing by switching mode each corner. Real drivers don't do that, I think this is much better. There's still a big strategic element depending on how much you deploy overtake, it's just far less fiddly.

2 pointsEvery year the F1 game's visuals improved and 2019 was a huge jump over the early games with the introduction of the PBR lighting. This year unfortunately the lighting in the environment took a dramatic hit on the foliage. Trees no more interact with the light, rim lights and highlights similar to GT sport were removed, resulting in the trees look out of the scene similar to 3d software preview viewport. Compare to the road and other surfaces everything looks defused and flat like during an overcast light. Shadows on the trees no longer look deep and now they look flat or absolutely missing even on high contrast lighting scenarios. In some examples below you can see a big difference. I really hope this is an issue to the early version of the game and the day one patch will fix this because this lighting is a huge step back even 2018 look better over this year. Coddies I really hope you can improve this part of the rather stunning looking game.

2 pointsHey, really enjoying the handling and team management in My Team. Thankyou. I'm have real problems with practice sessions. With the difficulty set so I can achieve lap times around tenth or lower (I'm a new team after all) I'm around half a second off at best from the teams expected lap times. If I adjust the difficulty so I can just about pass the practice programs I'm setting the fastest times in the session, 2.5 seconds faster than my team mate. The top teams are setting times around where the practice target times are set. Really hope this is something that's being looked into, I'm honestly not exaggerating when I say it's killing the My Team mode for me.

2 pointsNo, I will leave it here as it is a gameplay issue. It has to be tweaked.

2 pointsI too love the AI crashing. But not on a straight with nobody around. Crash in a corner, that's fine. It's even something I asked for in the 2019 forums. But crashing in a straight line is not the right way to implement AI mistakes.

2 pointsWe should be able to invite friends to ranked. As we saw last game there was less people playing ranked because they couldn’t play with friends. Then we would have to make or find a unranked lobby where most people don’t drive clean resulting in less people playing online as a result. If we added where we can invite friends to ranked it would be much better

2 pointsThat is one theory. The other (and I think more likely) is that someone from Subaru read this thread and decided to drop the incorrect S4. Was hoping that license might have been tweaked for DiRT 5, but I see social media posts are referring to the car in that game as S4 as well: hopefully you can correct it for the next DiRT game! It is my assumption (you know what they say about that!) that Subaru had no say: the "S" number was an internal designation and it was only from the WRC98 onwards where that number seems to have come into widespread usage outside the Prodrive facility. That said, the SVX theory holds water in that respect in that, if Prodrive were communicating with the Subaru factory and using their own internal designation within those messages, it could have been a possible point of confusion. That does seem a bit of a stretch, but Japanese staff were directly involved in the development of the car in that period, so maybe every effort was being taken to avoid confusion... ...I am still not entirely convinced though: I intend to keep asking until someone in the know provides a straight answer!

2 pointsF1 2019 had a system in place where if u was hit and it wasn't ur fault u wasn't given a pen so dunno why this game doesn't have it too. And as for "white line to white line" nahh mate this is pathetic track limits as u can clearly see from my pics provided. Am an experienced league/sim racer I know what track limits are and this is just disgusting from codies. The game is amazing this is the only short fall it has.

2 pointsI agree with the OP. As a VR user, I am not sure I will be buying F1 2020. Once you try VR, going back to a 2D screen is no more an option.
