Hi everyone, We've had reports that some users are still missing Pitcoins. Please only add your gametag/username and platform here so we can look at our internal logs and investigate the issue. Please note: Try and ONLY add the requested information. This will really help our investigation as we will be able to see the other details we need from your gamertag search. Many thanks, Barry

I wasn't sure whether to post this because I don't like posting negative stuff, but I really need to express the following. I've just spent the whole of my Schumi edition early access time (since Monday afternoon) doing a full F2 season in driver career mode - including the practice programs - under the impression that how I do in it would have an effect on which F1 teams come in for me in the next season and have an effect on my reptutation (I definitely read this somewhere about a month or so ago but I can't remember where). And so I finished 3rd in the F2 championship, full season, 50% races, did all the grind because I thought it was meaningful and was presented with a standard "choose an F1 team" screen. There appears to be no knock-on effect on your reputation, there's no contract negotiation with teams being impressed by your performance in F2. And the drivers who beat me to first and second (Matsushita and Hubert) are nowhere to be seen, they weren't promoted to F1 at all. The practice programs mean nothing, the results mean nothing, who wins the championship means nothing. It's just last year's championship mode bolted on the front and it's disappointing. If I had known it was just an "experience" intro season, I would have skipped it and just got straight into the good stuff from Day 1. So much more could've been done with this, considering the new driver market and contract system. And I really wanted to see Matsushita and Hubert promoted to F1 with me. Was it *supposed* to have all these effects and then it was withdrawn at the last minute? Or was whoever said it (I'm trying to remember where I read it) telling porkies?

That not realistic at all! There’s no way Vettels getting a drive in 2021!

Well I'm sorry if I wanna be Hamilton in this game and you people Bottas. I hope you slow down for me when you see me in your mirror in multiplayer

Every year the F1 game's visuals improved and 2019 was a huge jump over the early games with the introduction of the PBR lighting. This year unfortunately the lighting in the environment took a dramatic hit on the foliage. Trees no more interact with the light, rim lights and highlights similar to GT sport were removed, resulting in the trees look out of the scene similar to 3d software preview viewport. Compare to the road and other surfaces everything looks defused and flat like during an overcast light. Shadows on the trees no longer look deep and now they look flat or absolutely missing even on high contrast lighting scenarios. In some examples below you can see a big difference. I really hope this is an issue to the early version of the game and the day one patch will fix this because this lighting is a huge step back even 2018 look better over this year. Coddies I really hope you can improve this part of the rather stunning looking game.

The livery editor is just terrible, let's be honest. Other games, such as NBA 2k, have allowed players to create their own shoes and allow significant customization options, including logo placements, colors, and most important, a variety of textures on the shoes, including flat or matte finishes, glossy plastic finishes, carbon fiber, and even shiny metallics. Even Rocket League, with it's limited decals, still allows for an amazing amount of creativity based solely on color combos and finishes. Codemasters already has these finishes in the game, they can be seen on a variety of existing liveries. Why can we not select them for ourselves? Logo placement, rotation and size adjustments should also be simple to allow. Livery templates should not be limited by "color" options of just 2, 3 or 4 colors, but instead should only be limited by the number of colorable "elements." For example, the rear wing could have front and back color options, as well as a different finish for each specific colorable element. Each "stripe" or livery design element should be an independent color and finish option. The nose color and finish could be separate from the body or engine cover. The halo could be an independently colorable item with its own finish - including CARBON FIBER. For inspiration, just check out the shoe designer on NBA2k or the editor on Rocket League, both of which are relatively simple and yet allow for a TON of flexibility. Finally, please allow us to place our team badge on the car in a more visible location than the tiny logo on the nose. We want the option for larger badges if possible please!

I would assume having the official F1 partners for us to choose from as sponsors would be ok. Official partners include: Aramco, DHL, Emirates, Heineken, Pirelli, and Rolex as well as official sponsors AMG, AWS, and Liqui Moly. Would really help to ad some immersion to the myteam mode.

I have been using the second approach in past. But since you suggested it I'm setting up the car like you do and I'm enjoying the new approach a lot. It might be driving style related but I find that with equal or very close wings you set your downforce and work from it. It's easier to isolate and fix problems. With very low front wing and very high rear wing, if you fix or change something over time you'll probably have to rethink the whole setup and even change wings. With your method if you have understeer/oversteer it comes from X and/or Y. With great separation between the wings if you have a problem it might be because of X and Y which at the same time have to be that way because of Z. It is definitely the most natural and intuitive approach.

I think last year when they updated it the driver changes I noticed in my career mode kind of made sense and were only around 3 or 4 a season. It's ridiculous that mid-season driver changes take place in My Team though if that's the case. It very very very rarely happens in real life so why do it in game? To not even give the option to restrict it to off season (when F1 2019 had this option) is very poor.

Hi @David Greco CM, my question would be concerning altitude in the game, which really is only important for Mexico, Brazil and Austria. Is altitude simulated in the game, so you have less downforce at Mexico and need higher wings? Also, are temperatures affected by the altitude in game as it is in real life? Just wondering as it probably would be quite difficult to do I guess.

The AI when dealing with the human player is quite and maybe even too aggressive, it'll attempt moves that have no chance of success and guarantees of broken front wings, not entirely unrealistic mind you (see Vettel vs. Sainz last weekend) just pointing it out. This is the same as in 2019. It has always been tuned down a bit when against itself and especially when they are out of your vision, which does annoy me a little because it'd be nice to see more collisions, mistakes and moves like Vettel v. Sainz and Albon v. Hamilton, they happen. However this year it seems even more tuned down in terms of aggression against itself. I know the AI does make mistakes now, but I've only seen it happen once out of 12 mostly full length races. Maybe it happened off screen while i wasn't looking but knowing how the AI handles itself when you aren't looking, I doubt it. On a slightly separate topic it does bother me a little that they make all these changes to handling and stuff like that and the AI still drives around like it's on rails. I don't want them making mistakes every lap but it just looks... off. I do full race distances, and in China for example, Gasly in the Alpha Tauri literally 'ruined' the race of almost every front runner who simply refused to pass him despite being on worn mediums against their fresh mediums and obviously having much better cars. I had qualified 12th and started on the mediums and was on a much more conservative strategy so was ahead of that 'chain' and ended up with a podium finish because of it while the Red Bull's and Mclaren's scored zip despite starting well in the top 10 but pitted early cus they were on softs due to getting into Q3. The point is once, Gasly pitted they lapped three seconds a lap faster. China isn't the hardest circuit to overtake on either it's certainly not Monaco if I were in Gasly's position, I'd have been getting passed like crazy in the long back straight DRS zone. Something similar did happen in Spain but it wasn't 'quite' as bad but still a bunch of cars got stuck behind the Williams pair.

My sweaty backside that I'd like the budget for F1 2021 on the next gen consoles to be compromised just to add a last minute inclusion in the erratic F1 2020 season. A DLC is still business. I could even pay for it if it proves to be good enough. But no way I'd trade a less than ideal F1 2021 on PS5 for one or two extra tracks to F1 2020. People sometimes can be myopic on the scale of things. This is a franchise. Developing – and budgeting – is made years in advance. As it should be.

Yes, this so much. And while the sliders are nice, include an editable value, 0 - 255 (or hexadecimal values if you want), for each color. Then, let us save a custom palette. This would be very useful since we are now selecting the color schemes for liveries, outfits, and team colors, now. Copying from livery to team colors is a good first step, but being able to define a palette from which to pick colors for the available fields would go a long way.

depends a lot on the mechanical balance you give the car. I tend to have equal wings and a bit more stiff rear mechanically. Some like to go very stiff rear mechanically, but then have to run either low front wing or high rear wing to balance it out.

How is this still 'awaiting replication' when you have multiple users reporting the same issue? Isn't that already replicated?? You need to keep in mind that we don't work for Codemasters, we don't get paid - WE paid YOU so we could have some fun and entertain ourselves. I'm not inclined to waste hours of my time doing your troubleshooting for you by repeating steps over and over and over when all I want to do is race and have some fun. You have our bug reports, you have our screenshots, now fix the issue, please.

I think you a should be able to get green and the occasional purple if you have the Difficulty right. Purple is exceeding expectations, so If you are getting this regularly it suggests to me your difficulty is too low. This probably explains why people think practice is too hard. Practice is practice, adjust your expectations not the difficulty.

1 and 2./ Aware of that and we will be looking to add improvements to the customisation where we can later in the cycle. I've done a fair bit of tinkering in the Customisation stuff and its our first major attempt at it, so we'll always be looking to improve this for sure

Same issue here! Bsides I'm able drive the car the "Communicationg with online servers keep popping up" and I cannot see the track properly ! I've updated my ethernet network drivers intel i219v and the Nvidia drivers, and one of these solved the issue. BR Jose

I havnt found the need to change difficulty. The practice programmes I think are harder this year as I am not getting as many purples as I used to. Changing the difficulty for practice just so you can get purple on practice programmes is kinda defeating the realism no? Surely better to practice, work on your set up? Some tracks you will be Naturally be good at some you will struggle at. I think it’s more natural to just leave the difficulty as it is.

I hate it. Like someone else has said, they designed a full game and then lock most of it away from most people...

@BarryBL is turning off the MFD header option removed, or relocated? I had it turned off in 2019, but I can’t seem to find the same option in 2020.

There doesn't seem to be any significant logic system with drivers transfers. I somewhat accepted it when the feature was new last year but it's disappointing that it hasn't been improved. I feel there's been similar issues with how performance changes over seasons in previous games but that is hopefully better with the facilities etc. Programming in logic to driver transfers can obviously get quite complex but I'm not sure driver transfers are that worth having on without decent logic. Not sure why off season only has be removed as well. Honestly though I kinda want the option to be able to control the driver transfers for all teams myself. Obviously that means your team won't really get caught out in the driver market unless you make it that way but I think it would be a useful option given the current lack of significant logic in driver transfers and potential difficulty with developing a really good logic that will never be to everyone's tastes. Hopefully F1 don't prohibit that in the licence or something.

That is standard price though. Standard edition last year was the same. That's the price of all AAA games.

@reckless77 @BarryBL I think I may have found a fix to this issue If you have any of the Podium pass, Schumacher or 70 Edition customisations applied then it won’t load for some reason I originally had a the 70 edition Helmet and one of the Schumacher race suits and gloves. I have now changed that all back to ‘Classic’ for suit, Gloves, Helmet and that seems to have fixed it
