3 pointsFor the first time in my life (46 years old), I'm experiencing races I've always wanted against the AI. Races in which I am driving behind the AI for many laps and have to give everything to be able to overtake. I drive with ABS On, Full Traction Control, DRS Help On, ERS Help On, Fuelmanagement On and automatic gear change. This setup makes my car a kind of an AI car, but under human control. This way I achieve a competition in which everyone fights with the same means. The races that I experience thereby are just fantastic. I have to fight hard for every overtaking maneuver and every loss of position hurts. Add to that the driving feel, and the handling of the car - Everything is so precise and if I make mistakes I immediately know what I did wrong. F1 2020 is just a brilliant game. Can't stop driving. The developers who have balanced this setup to achieve this experience are geniuses in my eyes. Question : Does someone experience something similar with the above setting and thereby experience a very realistic Formula 1 feeling in which you hang behind the AI for many laps and has a hard time to overtake and likes that ?

3 pointsThis happens all the time, if someone touches you in the safety car, both of you get penaltys, and you can easily force a rival disqualification in multyplayer lobbies just buy hitting them

2 pointsIt means part of your car is wearing out, or you have damage, depending on how bad depends the colour it is yellow - orange - red

2 pointsAs a veteran of Geoff Crammond's GP series (yes - I am that old!) I always loved Jerez.

2 pointsOn issues like "Insert thing here is OP" threads we always proceed with extreme caution. We had 9 months of pad vs wheel debates, even though we investigated TT times across all methods of driving, and in fact, pad and wheel are balanced (just with different strengths and weaknesses) I'm fortunate enough to have a TT leaderboard you all see, and a friends PC leaderboard which is a large proportion of the hardcore players on that platform. The known elite players are, and always have been, running with ABS off. Until I get reliable feedback from them with concrete evidence (which im sure they'd happily provide if they thought something was wrong), I feel the assist works fine and is no advantange. Under the discussion in this thread, running TC Medium and ABS On is alledgely hugely overpowed. I can assure you its not, as they are my normal settings for league racing (I dont get the time these days to practice on-track, and my right foot is rather heavy 😛 ). I run midfield in the forum championships and always have, regardless of settings changes. Outright pace is outright pace for me. Removing assists makes you quicker, but its harder. Makes sense. Time vs effort. I don't get a lot of time to practice racing pace and long run compared to our top league guys, so I'm in the midfield. I think thats fair enough - (I like the midfield scrap btw, drives me mad but a good fight anywhere is my favourite thing in racing)

1 point1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. Unable to use voice commands while playing in My Team. I only play single player so do not know if it works on multiplayer. Microphone works properly in all other Windows functions and apps such as Discord, Battle.net Launcher, other Steam apps (played Portal 2 with a friend today using Steam Friends chat). 2. Platform PC - Windows 10 Pro (2004) - Gigabyte GTX 2080 - Nvidia Driver 451.67 3. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.03 4. Game-mode? My Team 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. 20+ attempts. Launch game and load My Team. Start driving in any session (FP1, FP2, FP3, Qualifying, Race). Press Voice Command button and bottom of MFD screen has red bar. Voice input does not work. 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue Reinstall x64_SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi and MSKinectLangPack_enUS.msi from steamapps\common\F1 2020\installers - Attempt with Steam Overlay enabled and disabled. 7. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Logitech G29 wheel (working properly) Steel Series Arctis 7 8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. Let me know if you want a SS of something. There is no Voice Command Disabled message on the main screen like there was in F1 2019 for me.

1 pointNow that many of us have already had the chance to try out F1 2020 for the first time, I thought it'd be great to get the real life racer, simracer and most importantly the handling designer of F1 games, @David Greco CM, to answer some of your questions that you might've come up with! There won't be any proper rules for the Q&A. Try to keep on-topic and Greco will answer as many questions as he can. Also, all questions are valid, no matter if you're a complete newbie or a seasoned veteran! If you're encountering an issue, it's quite likely that someone else has also encountered that issue at some point in time. I'll be compiling all the answers to a message that can always be seen at the top of this thread above all comments, no matter what page you're on 🙂

1 pointCouldn’t possible be your driving 😂 Maybe the AI was cheating like everyone else that beats you 😉

1 pointUsed to be cockpit only for simulation purposes for years, but after occasionally trying T-Cam in several versions, I've since stuck with that. There are a couple of practicalities to this: being able to see when a car is alongside you and, as mentioned above, an improvement in depth perception. The fact that T-Cam is faster, though, is neither here nor there for me because I solely play career mode, so it's just a matter of shifting difficulty up to make it fair and the difference is neutralized. But mainly, for me, it's a visual / sensory thing. I love seeing the edge of the track sweeping past at high speed (especially the red & white rumble strips - coming out of turn 3 at Malaysia was when I first experienced this, that was really cool, woooooosh!) and this weirdly satisfying sensation of being able to see the wheels clipping the apex and then sweeping out again. Getting a better picture of the *shape* of the turn, the sweep of the car through a corner. It's just so aesthetically pleasing.

1 pointIt would be worth posting proper bug reports here: https://forums.codemasters.com/forum/111-gameplay-issues-and-bugs-ta/

1 pointThere are patches due next week. You could wait and see how they go...

1 pointCockpit with Halo column disabled. Kinda like the feeling of being 'in the car'.

1 pointReally cool video, thanks for sharing! PS: Imo, i would add that the helicopter sound effect in the game, as well as the crowd is too loud. Hopefully, sometime in the future, Codemasters will eventually give us proper audio sliders for different sound effects (own engine sound, opponent engine sound, music, replay music, own car effects, environment effects, crowd, wind & rain etc.). In the past Codemasters already had a rudimentary version of such audio sliders in the game, but ultimately chose to get rid off it for whatever reason.

1 pointYes, I am having the same issue and thought nothing of it until I read this. Oh corner exits the wheels spin no matter what and I thought this the traction on the new game was suppose to be way better.

1 pointSo what was the bug? What is the fix? What actions can we take to avoid it in the meantime?

1 point@BarryBL Hey mate hopefully I've gathered the right data for you. Let me know if there's an issue. .rofile profile.bin

1 pointTo update everyone here, we have a fix currently in test and hope to have this out for the next patch. A huge 'thank you' to those high-quality reports which have helped us dig into the issue.

1 pointI think the one/off button would be best, because otherwise if you are using a wheel for example, you have less grip on that hand for steering in a corner etc. So, with respect, i disagree. As an Option would always be good 😊👍

1 pointI’m yet to see a valid argument for why this logic holds any truth. Some, not necessarily all, of us bought game A. Game B comes out later on and some of the content from A is made available in B. We purchased said content in game A therefore we have paid for it forever more and we demand it is free. With respect, you nor I know how much time and resource goes into the refresh of the DR stages into DR2.0 so how can we comment on how much it should cost? There is an easy way to make your feelings known on the cost of the DLC - don’t buy it.
