I for one am totally bummed out that headless drivers no longer exist and that JC is no longer in attendance at the Australian GP.

Do you not love us? Can we at least give us an update to let us know you still care?

So many up in arms about the performance and livery updates. Priorities people! Let's fix the actual game breaking issues first and then worry about aesthetics. I know performance isn't accurate, but they can't just 'nerf' ferrari. I mean if most of the actual f1 teams aren't definitive about the ability of their cars yet, how are CM meant to be? Great job @BarryBL and team, thanks for the update & keep up the good work!

Planned for upcoming patches, but we prioritise the stability fixes and commonly reported crashes.

Hanoi, no contest. I have about as much interest in that circuit as I do in getting electrocuted

It is in DiRT Rally 2.0. Then again, that's only under the "Hardcore" preset. For 99% of players, having fun is more important than having a 1-to-1 simulation of a Formula 1 car 🙂

I feel like this will help people who don't use line find people who are on the same assists as them and try to beat them

Honestly, how has this not been fixed, I love the game but the bugs are dreadful.

Hi All, The dev team made a range of stability fixes in v1.05, including stopping the crash seen in this particular instance. This doesn't resolve the underlying cause of the Podium Pass not working, but at least stops the game crashing to desktop until a proper fix is released. Our test team are currently reviewing a potential fix for the underlying issue at the moment. We'll let you know once / if this gets approved for release. Thanks for your patience, Hoo.

If you have read one of the recent codies blogs has discussed this already I would recommend you should have a read of it

Hi All, As stated previously, this CPU is not supported by the game. However, our speculative fix has been added to version 1.05 which may resolve this issue. If this doesn't work then unfortunately we will be unable to attempt further fixes for this. Thanks, Hoo.

I like your suggestions of choosing whether to do F2 / starting a career and a team / or starting a team later on during my career. There would be no need for a separate career, as the player could choose never to start the 11th team if they didn't want to. Makes a lot of sense.

Based on what? They are missing a lot of data, which they put through complex algorithm to get their numbers. Just from checking qualy speed traps from Austrian GP 2019/2020 and comparing sectors in Hungary between 2 years, one can come to a lot of conclusions. I would prefer them to wait also Silverstone data, because I expect them to be way-off if they use only these 2(3) races.

@Hoo @BarryBL Have there been any updates? I've seen other posts getting attention, but this still hasn't had any major updates, the games been out for nearly 2 weeks for the Schumacher edition preorder'ers yet there have been no updates to the people lacking preorder pitcoins... Will there be news soon?

I've always played 100% distance and mainly offline. TT can be good at times with its setuos. Some of them give you so much pace that you are ok with having to do one stop more. At the end of the day 100% distance allows you to do 2-3 stops and be competitive. Different strategies will balance out. But...in my opinion tyre wear is crucial. This is the way to beat the AI. Tyre wear and confidence. Since early 2019 I'm going extreme with tyre wear friendly setups. They can cost you a bit in qualyfing and early in stints but remember that if you are 0.3 slower on fresh tyres and then 0.5/0.7 faster at the end of stints you're doing great and you have more flexibility in terms of strategy. You can compensate tyre wear with pace and compensate pace with tyre wear. People tend to forget the second scenario. As said if at the beginning of the race you're slower by 0.3 and then at the end of the first stint you're faster you can pit later and have fresher tyres for the rest of the race. In that moment you'll have both (adjusted) pace and tyre wear in your corners. There are areas of the setup you'll have to touch from time trial: suspensions, suspensions geometry and tyre pressures. Geometry to reduce mainly wear and pressures to avoid overheating. Tyre pressures are the true key. As said in theory you could eat tyres for breakfast but If you overheat, it's over. The last thing you want is being forced to harder compounds by default. Expecially because harder compounds in many cases aren't a choice. If you enter Q3 with a midfield team, for example, you do it with soft tyres so you don't have choice. The biggest difference between 50% races and 100% races is full fuel load. This is why pressures play a big role. Full fuel load is something that usually users who don't play the full distance tend to forget. As said the last thing you want to experience is being on soft tyres and overheat them in lap 3 or 4 while being passed by cars left and right. Lower pressures, less aggressive suspensions, less toe and camber (don't be afraid to remove toe and camber, even if the car feels sluggish it'll pay off long term), more downforce. In free practice test your car with half fuel load and medium compound. This where the car should be comfortable to drive (this is how you test feeling). Then you can test qualifying speed. Don't forget to test soft+full fuel load. This is crucial for the race and the strategy. I've lost count of all the races I've started in the past with setups that felt good with half tank and became a nightmare with full tank and softs... Preset 4 gives you a good starting point for 100% races (in terms of geometry and pressures). It has camber one click from the lowest and minimum rear toe and just a touch of front toe. Pressures three clicks at the rear and two at the front. With close wings and suspensions you won't overheat anywhere (literally). I've used it as the starting point of my base setup. I've mentioned it to give you an idea of what won't overheat for sure (even in Spain/Hungary/Zandvoort with soft and full tank). With reduced camber, reduce toe and tyre pressures at 2/3 clicks you won't overheat. So pay attention to which TT setup to start with. If it has aggressive/extreme suspensions, a lot of camber/toe/high pressures it won't be always bad but it should alarm you...

Just wondering how others have found it in improving their car in My team and wanted to know whether being second slowest after 8 rounds (16 race season) is normal. been spending resource points on upgrades and I’ve upgraded the odd factory section but not seen much progress. Is this similar to you guys? other than one of the driver perks, is there a way of impressing the amount of resource points you get? don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to go from slow to fastest in a season or two, just want to see what others have experienced.

During multiplayer, after the first race, "Contacting Online Services" keeps popping up in middle of screen obstructing vision. This continues throughout quali and race. Only way I've gotten rid is to reset PS4. Everything seems to work behind still but kind of impossible to drive when it keeps popping up. Stays for about 2 sec, disappears and then reappears in about 5 sec

To be fair, radio check is done on the grid, before the formation lap. In case there is something is wrong, it can be fixed. Can't fix anything on the drivers side when formation lap has started

Stunning. I really need this livery design, still awaiting pit coins tho 😩

I disagree. It should be considered an assist only in games that provide enough options. And this game doesn't. It's plenty of drivers who play in cockpit view elsewhere and then switch to t cam just for this game. I do the same and can understand why. Even real life drivers used t cam while enjoied iracing's cam. Cockpit cam in this game is technically wrong for so many reasons. It's more a visor cam than a driver's view...
