I only use Cockpit Camera in all racing games and simulators i play. It is the most realistic view. Sadly Codemasters have not introduced a proper Helmet Cam as of yet. And the steering wheel display is also lacking lots of vital information. Not to mention the fact that we still do not have VR as a option. Cockpit Racing has lots of potential. Codemasters have lots to do, to make it a more appealing and realistic, as well as immersive, experience.

Last year, in F1 2019 the game, you eventually added the "90years" logo onto the Ferrari livery. This year, in F1 2020 the game, Ferrari has blank spots. But in real life, Ferrari will add the "1000GP" logo onto their livery. Could you please give us the "1000GP" logo for the Ferrari livery, during the lifetime of F1 2020 the game? Here are pictures of the new 2020 Ferrari livery, with the "1000GP" logo on top:

Please add more info to the steering wheel display, such as: -Fuel Mix. | Low (1), Medium (2), High (3). (at the moment only the amount of fuel left in the tank, is being displayed) -Differential. | 50% to 100% -Brake Bias. | 50% to 70% -Delta Driver Ahead / Behind | During race day, this would be very helpful. (at the moment only the delta to our own personal best lap time, is being displayed) -Tyre Inner / Outer Temperatures. (at the moment only the inner tyre temps, are being displayed) -Brake Temperatures. -Throttle / Brake Input. -RPM. All this vital info is currently missing on the steering wheel display. If we had all this info on the steering wheel display, we could turn off the very distracting MFD once and for all. It would improve Cockpit Racing drastically. Hopefully Codemasters will eventually give us a more realistic Cockpit Racing experience. Here is a link to a older thread about the same topic, which seems to be forgotten:

I'm surprised you haven't asked for the special livery they'll be using this weekend. Tomorrow.

Hi there, I play F1 mobile, it's great I love it. Oftentimes I duel with players that are really nice and avoid contact. I really like these kind of people and I would love to be able to say thank you to them. Today for example in Singapore, in turn 2 if I recall, some Gabriel from Brazil could have just crashed onto me and get the lead, but he avoided contact like a boss. I slowed down and gave him the win because he deserved it. But I would really like a system that allows me to say a thank you or a sorry after the race. (I know mobile gaming is not real gaming, but I stopped playing on consoles or PC after my son was born) Have fun guys, stay positive.

Hello fellow racers, So I was wondering, for those of us who play career mode/MyTeam.. Do you take a DNF when you crash or get hit, etc? I personally allow myself one and only one flashback during a race and definitely don't take it when I go wide in a corner or something, if I go wide and lose a position or more because of that, well, that's my own fault. But if I crash out and it was just a loss of concentration or because Jeff suddenly blasts through my ears, I sometimes allow myself a flashback. However, today I was doing the Dutch grand-prix in MyTeam. First time ever driving that circuit on an F1 game, so I practiced alot in time trial (think something like 70+) laps and found out that I'm actually pretty damn fast around Zandvoort. So in MyTeam I qualified p7 (AI difficulty 100) with a car that usually battles the Haas cars in qualifying for p15 or p16. I was ecstatic as this could very well be my second points finish after a p10 in Australia. On top of that, it's my home grand-prix so I even changed my helmet to an orange color and was already dreaming of a season-best result at my home race. On lap 1 I actually manage to get the jump on Leclerc in front of me and end up in p6. Zandvoort being as narrow as it is, I managed to defend against him pretty well untill he overtook me on lap 6. Albon quickly followed. Then the rain hits, 2-3 laps later we all pit for Inters and I manage to jump him and Albon with the pitstop and end up in p5. Race is going well, a few scares here and there in the fast chicanes with a bit of a slide but I'm handling it so far. Then the rain hits even more, and Leclerc behind me loses control and crashes out (checked the replay, I never hit him nor did he hit me). Safety car comes out, I immediately pit for wets but all the other cars don't just yet. Safety car goes in, they pit, I end up in p1 somehow. I'm there like, okay this is my chance to score a lot of points so I'm going to push like crazy. However Hamilton, Bottas, Vettel and Verstappen all had a different idea about that and it didn't take long for me to be in p5 again. Then we pit for Inters again, I lose a bit of time during the pitstop and Perez closes the gap quickly. We're in lap 40 by now and in the fast chicane at turn 6 and 7 he tries to go on the inside, I leave him a lot of space knowing that he's faster anyway and he starts sliding, hits me and I crash out quite spectacularly I must say.. At this point I'm a bit sad because this was my best chance to score good amount of points for my Peugeot F1 team. And I must've checked the replay from all kinds of PoV at least a 100 times to see if it wasn't just my fault or that I closed the door on him, but I didn't. It was really him who lost control of his car. I ended up retiring and taking the DNF, because I like to keep the game realistic. And DNFs are unfortunately also a part of the sport. I'm still really really gutted because I invested so much time in learning Zandvoort and finding out I am actually rather good at it. And I now have to wait a whole season again before I get the chance to redeem myself at Zandvoort. But again, I like to keep it realistic. I must say, it was REALLY tempting for me to use a flashback and cheat my way to some points, but I'm sure I would've regretted that. The only thing that leaves me with a really bad aftertaste is seeing that Perez still managed p8 even after losing his front wing in the crash with me. He didn't get any penalty at all or whatsoever. So how are you guys with taking/handling DNFs? I mean, this is probably the most gutting DNF I've ever had to take in an F1 game, but I guess it adds to the realism.

Whoops. Yea. I posted it on the wrong thread. I should have posted this on the other thread about the podium pass.

I've been asking for an external HUD for cockpit for years. A proper LCD display would not help me much while driving, because my wheel overlaps the virtual wheel so I wouldn't see it anyway. Another itch in my back is not being able to see/record my throttle and brake telemetry while driving in cockpit. There is no logical reason not to have a HUD as an option in cockpit. Never seen anyone from CM even try to explain why it's still not there.

Just park your Lancia in the open and let the rain take care of that!

They should really consider this, it would be a nice addition to the game since it lacks all the new tracks

Depends on what you want, I have done some real life rallying (I was way bad at it) and I wanted a very good simulation for a game, so I sank 500-600 hours into Dirt Rally 2.0 and I was not disappointed (I was still bad though). If you're after a bit more of a casual experience then I can recommend CMs Dirt4, its a lot less simulation and a lot more accessible. It is a little aged now (graphics) but still a lot of fun. Do you have a wheel for your Xbox? rallying without a wheel is impossible imo...you need to be able to feel the grip through the force feedback so you can judge when to put the power on etc. I have not played any other rally games so can't advise on them.

Hey, Stefan! Now that sounds odd. It would be easier if you could post a screenshot of your R&D screen. Depending on how you allocated your research you could end up with a better score on the chart than your actual performance on track would suggest, but the categories of R&D are so spread out that I think you would have to be really unlucky to pick all the unreasonable options there haha Are you able to dismiss the tracks as a factor? My favorite circuits - and consequently the ones I do better - for example are kind of in the middle and at the end of the calendar, so I keep my expectations on check when racing on tracks I'm poor at. Maybe you were outperforming your car at the beginning of the calendar and now are just suffering a bit more than you should by having to compete on unfavorable circuits for your style. Would also be helpful to know if there are any aspects of the handling that you're struggling with. Maybe you think you're focusing your R&D to deal with those shortcomings when in reality there could be neglected categories that could help you more with that.

Agree 200 % with you mate.. I think there is Time enough to introduce the official and real LCD displays in all cars of the grid.. And apart from that the official Halo Hud should be introduced aswell

I have turned flashbacks off and take DNFs to keep it as realistic as possible. I did about 30 laps of practice for Monaco the other day - qualified 9th on full qualy - then crashed on lap 3... was gutted but I took the DNF. First of my season. The kerb on turn one spun me into the wall. Same line I had done through practice and qualy but then the game decided...NOPE! You will no longer have grip and I shall spin you. I can understand someone taking a flashback for something like that. However... I raced at Baku tonight - qualified 13th and was up to 10th by lap 6. Jeff then decided to randomly shout in my ear during the braking zone of turn one and I grazed the wall and broke my wing. Had to do the full lap and lost a lot of time. PItted onto hards and was stuck 15 seconds off the back of the pack for around 15 dull and lonely laps. The AI made their pits and I managed to gain some positions - the hard tyres started to come to life with about 4 laps left and I finished P7. Chuffed. Not using a flashback made the result all the more fulfilling.

The real problem is that in F1 2020 engine brake has been practically removed...if in F1 2021 there's gonna be still only one setting not changeable, I think at least a good engine brake compromise would be to have something between F1 2019 (where cars had a lot, maybe too much engine brake) and F1 2020 (where cars seem to have no engine brake at all)...

HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM Hey guys I had the same problem this afternoon. (Ps4) I have just solved the problem. 1. search your memory for a F1 file that has no image, delete the file and upload the remaining files to Plus. 2. delete the game and reinstall it. (Plus online Update 1.08) 3. download files from Plus back to your system memory Except for the last race everything is back in my my Team career I hope it helps you and you have your data back. ☺️

The verticality is nice, but again I was hoping more for Battersea or Dirtfish. What's shown is a bit wider, but... I dunno. Still a pretty featureless area, more like Sandbox from Halo 3. I also really dislike the garish purple and yellow. If they really want to go for a "toybox" look they should lean into more and make giant objects like Danny Megaskill's Imaginate. This just kind of sucks to look at. As an aside, maybe it's because i've been into """"""simulators"""""" but I'm getting really sick of these comments saying "It's not a serious """"simulator"""" and is therefore potentially fun, and therefore complete garbage." Can't look at any racing game without some complaining about how it isn't a freaking sim.
