2 pointsCodemasters should do as konami with pes, that is to release 2022 directly on the new consoles and publish only a dlc for 2021 cars on f1 2020. It is the best strategy, they can buy time to focus on the challenge of 2022, new cars and new model driving as well as adding many new features that are missing such as live track 3.0, tire flattening, Manual driving in the pits. I hope this is the beginning of a new cycle towards simulation @BarryBL @UP100

2 pointsI'd be extremely surprised if F1 2021 wasn't compatible with the new consoles. F1 2020 may well be too actually.

2 pointsUndersteered into a low wall on SS3 flipped over it and 'Terminal Damage Unrecoverable position' or whatever came up. Years ago I would have Rage Quit in this situation, now I just quietly come out of the game, shut down the computer and go out into the garden and scream.

1 pointSome F1 cars have been updated, I mean, new sponsors have been added, a slight change in the painting, anyway ... codemasters will not update the game? Mclaren is a great example of outdated painting. thanks!

1 pointPractice 2 at spa Team Manor engine blew up at first I thought it was invisible wall bug or something looked at replay and I was smoking for last 3 turns. Engineers naturally said nothing to me and it ended very suddenlty I was not able to really pull ip but was a first for me in f1 games. Parts were worm but not heavily in the 70% range. 20200909_153811.mp4

1 pointThis year the weather forecasts seem to be off by so much that it must be a design choice. Sometimes the pre-race forecasts give three drops of rain for the entire race, but it doesn't rain all race. Other times it can show an overcast dry weather but it rains all race. There must be some probabilities in this randomness. Do they change on track-by-track basis? Will an overcast Spa have a higher probability for rain than overcast Melbourne?

1 pointI know there are some dodgy flag waving on strict cornering setting, but anyone getting them even when you still have two wheels clearly still inside the white line? Was pushing turn 6 and 7 because I know that is where I'm losing some time and it's this weeks weekly event track. However, I keep getting flagged, more on 7 than 6, but both seem touchy at best. Hell, I'm not taking near as much as they do in F1 on those before I get a flag. Don't get why track limits are an issue for them to have right really.
-
1 pointNot only that but some companies have promised that xbox1 games will have graphics upgraded to new console free of charge for people who own xbox1 version at some point so let’s hope codemasters do it.
-
1 pointIf PES officially-licensed? If not, Konami had leeway that CM don’t have.
-
1 pointAlmost every part of f1 20 is better than f1 19 unless the tracklimits. It was a massive step backwards to make them more strict. To not collect a ton of time time penalties you need to know where the tracklimits are. But in this game it is strange. Sometimes you have to leave the track with all 4 tires before you receive a penalty as it is in real life f1 and as it should be in the game. On the other side on some corners you collect penalties as soon as you leave the track with 2 wheels... It is unpredictable... Please check this out CM. @BarryBL

1 point@dixon12376 and @Getss0388 I've found the exact same thing, try passing others and they either swerve into the side of you or use you as a break if/when you manage to pass them. Makes the whole idea of trying to get a good saftey rating pointless if it can be destroyed in seconds by idiots.
-
1 pointYou were expecting to start the race with the same worn soft set of tyres you run in Q2? That does not happen. Only those that make it through Q3 are forced to start the race with the same set of tyres used to achieve their best time in Q2. Everybody else – meaning everybody from 11th to 22th – get to start on a new set of their choosing. That's why you're starting the race on a new set of Softs instead of your worn down Softs from Q2.

1 pointHonestly, this question is way more up Microsoft alley than Codemasters'. It is Microsoft doing all the promising of Series S being exactly the same as Series X and running the games with the exact same performance barring a resolution downscale. As of now, that is all the official talk we as consumers are getting and and it is coming solely from Microsoft. I highly doubt Codemasters or any other developer would step in front of Microsoft and say that they can't guarantee equal performance on the mid term.
-
1 pointThe new S is a next gen without a CD drive. There is a slight kerb on the video output I believe but has the same graphics card. Think the SSD is restricted a bit. I saw a really good comparison but can’t find it atm. You will be able to play them on there. It’ll be a bit like the current Xbox One original v the Xbox One X. Both play the same games. One is able to do 4K for example.

1 point@dixon12376 welcome to “ranked” racing! Thank you for the reminder why I have banned myself from it. It’s not worth getting upset over or the headache. Everyone thinks they can win the race in the first corner or wreck you when you go to pass them. I too, try to be fair & leave plenty of space for everyone. It just doesn’t work. Good luck in any future races you attempt.

1 pointWe are working towards a fix that will enable to continue their saves as a priority. We understand the effort put into saves, and always aim to create a fix so users can continue to play their saves post-patch. But still in a test and diagnosis phase. Once I have a more concrete update, I'll add 👍
-
1 pointThey should really consider this, it would be a nice addition to the game since it lacks all the new tracks

1 pointSo, I find that often when I've come home after sinking a decent number of pints, I'm somehow better at DR, at least for the first 30 mins or so, and then it goes downhill as the worst of both worlds collide, alcohol and inherent ineptitude. But initially, there is a cavalier power that takes over, and I'm easily breezing through sections I previously found tortuous. Perhaps its the over-riding of risk that the brain inadvertently factors in to virtual gaming. Or something. So anyway, why not allow real-life drunk rallying, all the way to WRC? There could even be different categories, based on blood alcohol level. .01-.05, .05-1, 1.5-2, over 2. Like the weight categories in boxing.

1 pointis one of the many known flaws in this abandoned game. besides, the photographic mode in F1 is more free cam style (you can change the camera position) and the Grid has a limited perspective glued to the car and only several repeatable cams along the track, sad from what I read, they improved it in Dirt 5
-
1 pointOne thought on this is that in general it must be phenomenally hard for any game developer to try to keep a game feeling fresh for long-term players but even more so with the F1 franchise where there are such obvious limitations on what can be done. The addition of My Team mode does though seem like a significant development that at least some long-term players seem very much to be enjoying as a new element. My own newbie take on where CM seem to be most letting down long term players is in the online game performance.
