OK. I've been playing F1 2019 and now F1 2020 for 5 months. Assists on.....assists off.....automatic gears on....have a go at manual gears....fail.....back to auto gears and assists. Drive races with all the assists that I can get my hands on.....have a decent race and finish wherever those parameters deem that I should finish. In retrospect a dull and shallow way do drive F1 cars. So.......I've decided to stop shilly shallying. Play the game in its purest form. No assists.....manual gearbox....steep learning curve. F1 driving (for me) is going to get difficult....and messy. But it's something that I believe that I need to do now. Now is the time to break away from assisted driving. Wish me luck everyone. I'm going to need it.

Hey good luck man I’m sure you’ll succeed and I think after the first week or so you’ll have manual gears dialed in and you’ll be pleasantly surprised how much faster you are and how much more fun it is.

@OP good luck - you will enjoy it man! I have been doing this for quite a while now, starts can be a pain especially, driving in the rain is much worse though. Then again i like a challenge, and while i had won my 1st race in myteam mode had it stayed dry in Canada until the end - at least i made my first podium despite 5 or 6 laps of heavy rain towards the end of the race. Not too many experiences in other PC games beat that feeling of having achieved something. With your own skills rather than in "arcade mode". And dont get too frustrated with other peoples laptimes, in practice mode especially: there seems to go a lot of cheating and hacking going on, and it is a bit of a shame that this somewhat destroys the competitivity of what is supposed to be a MMO game.

The first picture I believe does have the side of the tub black. It's obviously a change for subtlety.

Reactions to that latest design have been overwhelmingly positive so far. I now went a bit further and took a page out of the DIrt team's playbook and did what they had done, releasing a 'World Series' design with several colour variations for the VW Polo R5. In other words, I'll release the design coming Friday if all goes right including some colour variations.

Hello, will there be an season 3 for the podium pass and if yes with how many delay ? Seriously, this one finish around the 11th, will we have to wait 1 week or two weeks or more ? thanks

I can confirm the bugs mentioned by @Bicarda are in-game and I have been witness to all of them. I don't know what development model Codemasters are using, I would highly suggest they move to sprint based development, a 2-4 week sprint would be great for the game and the developers themselves. This would give the developers clear tasks to be done and for when, streamlining deployment and updates. The sprint would incorporate pm, planning, development, testing and in the end deployment. We as the community will have something to be based off knowing when every sprint will be deployed and there will be some kind of fix regardless of what different teams are doing.

This. This right here needs further attention no doubt. Started a new career after the updates. Through 3 races here are the Ferrari driver's results: Leclerc - 4th, 5th, 4th. Vettel - 6th, 4th, 5th Further more I finished ahead of both Ferarri drivers in my McLaren in all 3 events. So without me outperforming my car they'd have likely been one position higher each race. Come on guys.... That's not a performance update in the slightest. Especially when Ferrari is rated ahead of McLaren & Renault, teams which routinely out perform them every weekend.

Hi Barry, you can also use Logitech Gaming Software instead of GHUB. It has a simpler interface, which I prefer, but the same functionality. Platform, wheel: PC, G920 Also, as a G920 user, having an xbox 360 controller plugged in while running the game with the G920 causes some undesired button remapping on the G920. Unplugging any controllers when playing with a wheel is a safe bet to avoid any such issues. Lastly, leaving wheel damper on 0 allows for feeling the most details from the force feedback. This may feel uncomfortable for some people though, since the wheel will feel lighter in moments of low feedback.

Patch this patch please... Ferrari's car is definitely not the 4th fastest.. They battle with Alpha Tauris and Alfa Romeo (SPA, Monza and Mugello) and can't cope with McLaren, Renault and RP.. So this one needs a new patch.. You should think about having some kind of 'form' system where you'd be able to change the teams performance without the need of patch. Like in Fifa, the game should download the new values from your servers when you change them..

Makes no sense to apply the update to an already ongoing save as there has already been development from the AI managed teams.

Well the FFB in this game is pretty broken. Have just tried this game recently and i'm disappointed. I'm a big fan of Dirt Rally 1/2 and PC2. I'm used to their FFB that give every information you need. When you loose adherence, you know it, you can clearly find the breaking steering point in those games. In F1 2020, you feel nothing. Just the wheel is hard to turn and that's all. You don't feel anything when you loose adherence or when you take it back... it's terrible. Not to mention that you can't turn at all as stated above. I have a real problem to turn in hard corners... even at low speed (30 km/h) the car doesn't turn properly lol... never happened in any other game. Played Formula A in PC2 and it turns perfectly... Not to mention that PC2 physics is near perfection as AC...

Yep I get it very so often and it fixes itself - seems to be at random. As patches and wheel updates come and go, it's difficult to pinpoint what the issue is. Make sure you validate your files often and update to latest drivers and patch versions asap to minimise issues

THE FIX IS TO TURN FORMATION LAP OFF. YOU CAN SIMULATE 100% RACE DISTANCE WITH THIS OFF. Can't believe their customer service is so poor. This is my first f1 game but probably will be the last if they behave like this.

Useless to not apply the update to my team or at least have the option for it. What a waste of waiting for this patch for months. Never buying an f1 code masters game again. You guys are useless
