https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/codemasters-confirms-its-in-talks-with-take-two-over-a-possible-sale/ Of all the companies you could sell the series rights to, Take Two and EA are the worst of the worst. Take Two especially has been taking the p*** recently with their horrendous consumer unfriendly practices. Full priced games with unskippable ads, bugged releases that don't get fixed, zero effort copy/pastes of entire games (Switch version of NBA 2K21 is literally just a copy/paste of 2K20, which itself was a copy/paste of 2K19). Selling the F1 series to Take Two will kill the franchise, I'm sure of it. They don't care about making good video games, they just want us to empty our pockets.

Sector 3 is a bit tricky to learn but it's perfectly fine. In fact, it's the only fun bit of that track.

Tournaments are over. I’m bored. What do your cars look like?

I tried that and it extended the time for the practice sessions. Thank you 👍

Nice, the video's out 🙂 D-Box told us they were working on something featuring a dual seat cockpit.

Microsoft would be better I guess, because Xbox was always mostly racing console. With racing games from CM, Xbox will be racer dream. T2 can only add more ads and other useless live service stuff.

I am not sure. I liked GTA, Red dead and Mafia series but everything is dead now. On the other hand CM needs much more polishing to be flawless racing leader and maybe somebody else can force it.

I agree first 3/4 corners are hard but not in a good way, they just are wierd and even if you manage to do them perfectly they aren't satisfying they aren't flowing, sector 2 is just straight with big 180 turn at the end and sector 3 is the best part of it, yes it hard you can't make sudden moves you need rather fast reaction time but its satisfying to drive those corners cause they are flowing

Got a message on the MFD to change to inters and 20 seconds later Jeff tells me to stay on slicks lol

Well, thank you all guys. I'll practice especially on trail braking.

There's a wishlist area in the Discord, a few have mentioned that already 🙂

Are you kidding me!? I missed it by 3 hours 😭😭 On the plus side at least I know it’s on a rotation and will come back around.

thank you, now I know how and what to do, it solved a big doubt. thank you very much indeed

Mostly negative on Steam. This will be a fun ride. When they fix it nobody will play it. I wonder when they will learn that cheaply made arcade racers just don't cut it anymore. (Onrush, Grid, Pcars3...)

When I didn't know better my idea of going round a (for example) 90 degree corner (Turn 1 at Baku is an excellent example) was to brake as late as I could until the car was at a speed to get round the corner at which point I would take my foot off the brake and steer round the corner. The problem with this is that all the downward force (and therefore grip) that heavy braking generates on the front tyres is lost so your speed round the corner isn't good. With Trail Breaking, you break just as hard but as you approach the apex of the corner you release some of the brake pressure, but not all, which keeps some of the downward pressure/grip on the front tyres allowing you to go through the apex at a much higher speed before re-applying the throttle. It takes some practice but once you get right you will gain a lot of time over a complete lap. There are several video's on YouTube that will explain it much better than I can.

So.. about the same as with two previous launches ? Pretty pictures with mediocre gameplay ? A racing game without lap times, tuning, or wheel support. Blasphemy !

Ah no replay mode this year ? Great Codemasters, One disappointment after another...

This just proves my point that dirt 5 clearly isnt a finished game. Not even having v-sync is a massive oversight, probably more so than broken wheel support. I get that this year has been bad because of covid, but i cant believe codemasters have released a brand new title as broken as this. I am so glad i decided to hold onto my cash this time. I will probably pick up dirt5 if it ever ends up included on games pass or in a humble choice. Cant see me spending more cash on it than that. I really hope this isnt a sign of things come with the wrc titles codemaster make from 2023.

As PJ pointed out, it's a live chatroom. Unless there's a bunch of sub chat rooms the main one can have up to a few hundred people all talking at once. The reason I dislike it for anything other than an interpersonal communications alternative to mobile phone data should be clear from that. It's a terrible way to catalog things, in the sense that you can ask a question and have it answered, but if anyone in the future searches for that question it's basically vanished into the ether. For instance, a while ago I played through Freespace 2, a 90's space fighting game. I had issue with the audio or something as I was adding modern mods to it, and there's a forum dedicated to it, but it's not very active. Had to use Discord to ask, and I got an answer, but in the future if I need to know that again I can't just search Google or the forum, I'll need to go back to Discord and ask again. You also can't make specific topics like on a forum, and the only people that can make sub chat rooms are the server owners. Therefore, with the recent news of limited wheel support, instead of having a specific thread for discussing it and knowing what wheels are and aren't supported, it's just a mess of noise and having to constantly repeat what wheels are/n't supported.

It's a live chat platform; if you remember IRC it's the natural evolutinon of that. Main benefits are how well it works on mobile, the way you can organise users and chatrooms, high quality voice chat etc. I use it all the time 🙂

Yeah I dunno, I haven't changed my online name in nearly 20 years so I haven't run into a situation like that. I hope you're able to get it resolved, good luck!

Project CARS 3 still has a long way to go in its cycle of post launch support. GRID 2019 is one of these games where I play Devils Advocate here. I like this game, but others hate it. DIRT 5 isn't even out yet for non Amplified Edition users. It should be out today on 7pm Eastern Standard Time. In the UK you guys will need to wait until Friday

OMG, just buy the game because it's so good. I don't understand what everybody wants these days. Project cars 3 is in much worse state after 2 big patches and I am still able to partly enjoy it. Dirt 5 is great now and will be even better soon.
