2 pointsI think something like this has been already talked about in this forum but I can't find the topic, so I'm gonna create one. Is there any way to change the race length to like 35% (for people who thinks 25% is too low and 50% is too much) or 75% (for people who thinks 50% is too low and 100% is too much). Maybe in the game files but I can't seem to find anyone who has discovered it yet. I know that changing the game files for the race length is something pretty complex because you would need to change the way the tyres would degradate and possible the way the AI would behave for strategies. Asking this because I play with 50% race and sometimes the AI strategies ****** me off. Just one example: Singapore everyone outside the top 10 and the ones who qualified on the mediums in Q2 start medium and goes to hard, the ones in the top 10 that have softs goes for a two-stopper. The thing is, its not a bad strat but singapore it's a pretty hard track to overtake and they make a massive DRS train and than no one overtakes. Won the race in a ferrari and grosjean finished 3rd. Tell me what you think, just "brainstorming" :)

2 pointsI'm just going to sit back, not freak out and see what happens. It will either work out well and we'll get the same or better quality games or we won't. It's not like any one of us are forced to buy the games at launch or ever.
-
2 pointsOk. I have a feeling it has to do with a recent URL change, so the URL the game is looking for is different to the one the website is using. I'll pass it on.

1 pointOn the game when the track changes from wet to dry the track dries so quickly and in a couple of laps the track can be bone dry form heavy rain whereas in real life the dry line can dry quickly but off the racing line the track stays wet for the rest of the race. For example take the Hungarian GP this year where the track started off wet then the racing line dried quickly and everyone was on dry tyres by lap 5/70 but offline stayed wet until the end.

1 pointWe are the Sunday Race League! The Sunday Race League (SRL) is a PlayStation F1 2020 league. The first season of SRL just ended and all three tiers have crowned a worthy champion for both the drivers and constructors titles. The second season starts on the 13th of December, be sure to join! SRL strives to be a league that takes input from every driver. To be sure that every driver will be heard, the staff is always available for a chat and we have channels where everyone can suggest things. We have a great community with drivers, stewards, commentators and more! Next to the regular SRL season, which will be raced every Sunday (different start times for different tiers), there is also an F2 league and unranked racing being hosted. The regular season races are 50% with short qualifying. SRL is looking for drivers who want to race clean and be involved in a great community! Are you a commentator or do you want to race AND commentate? Even better! All Assists are allowed, except for pit assists to keep it realistic. The start times will be between 16:00 and 20:00 GMT. This will be based on the tier you are in. How to join? Have a look at our YouTube channel to see how the first season went down: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4Fb0G8tPmkjz3QFsvVnKIA This is the link to our Discord, where you can sign up: https://discord.gg/Tuew5SC We are looking forward to having you in the league! Kind regards, The SRL Team.

1 pointI'm going to start off by saying that this is, for me, the best F1 game to date. The new features and improvements have been great and I've been having a blast with it. I thought though that there is still several things that can be improved for career mode especially: - I'll start simple, the option to turn off driver retirements. I like the addition, but sometimes I feel like I'd quite like to hire Kimi, for example, for several seasons whether its realistic or not. I'm sure it could work in the same way as disabling driver moves which we can already do. - Add the remaining 2019 helmets. - Random mechanical failure for player. As an option, On/AI Only/Off. This ones been discussed plenty. Also, remove the slow-mo when terminal damage occurs. - Spectate qualifying. When you finish your final run, it should then spectate the AI until the last car crosses the line. In the event of getting knocked out in Q1 or Q2, we should then be able to spectate the AI in the remaining sessions. This should solve the simulated times problem. - Either increasing the cost of upgrades or reducing resource point income. I feel like the performance chart doesnt really change as much this year. Williams, Haas and now Alfa never really catch up even after several seasons and every team has no issue saving all their upgrades at rule changes so theres never any real variation like there was in 18/19. - Ability to set each teams starting upgrades when starting a career mode. As an example: Having Williams start with some upgrades already unlocked so they start further up the order if we wish. - Customisation. There's been a good start but theres a lot more that can be done. Driver customisation is already there, however, we should be able to set created drivers stats and then the option to have them appear in the career modes if we wish. Perhaps adding the ability to change the real drivers stats to balance them to our personal liking. Then replace livery customisation with team customisation. Basically how we start MyTeam now with engine, livery, team colors etc. But add the option to select a default driver lineup, whether it be F2 drivers or created drivers. Then an option to choose which team appears in career mode if any. - Finally, blending career and my team into one mode. So at the start, we choose whether to be driver or team owner. If we pick just driver, it'll be the career mode we know with an optional choice to add an eleventh created team which we can eventually join if we wish. If you pick team owner, then you pick which of your created teams to manage and then pick which of your two drivers you want to race as. So you could start with, let's say Illot and Zhou as your default lineup and you race as one of those. But if you then hire lets say, Kimi and Russell for season 2, then you'll pick one of those to race as.

1 pointStuff like this hasn't been on an F1 game since F1 2012. It would be nice to see it back although the engine changed in 2015 and it like red flags went the way of the dodo. The painted photoshop seems to be the better option to them in there eyes. Hopefully we see a return in future but I don't hold out much hope

1 pointOn the Facebook page a couple of days ago they said series 2 ending soon, but that's all I have seen from them.

1 pointI blame Star Wars Squadrons! People play it for a couple of hours, switch to F1 and still think they are in an X Wing or TIE, not an F! car!
-
1 pointI tried..started from either controller or wheel. Both doesnt work. The wheel is latest updated firmware version

1 pointDo you know of a ps4 league that does something like this??

1 pointI wish the car customization was a little more detailed. Change a few tidbits like the nose shape, steering wheel, etc. Not a big fan of the round-looking model of My team, would love being able to use something like Williams, or RBR's '13 steering wheel. Doesn't even need to be a copy, just a bunch of original models as options you can pick from. Other than that, just changing number colors on the livery.

1 pointThe festival atmosphere in racing games is a trend that needs to die. It's fine in Horizon, but it's been going on way too long and everyone is just copying everyone else. The Crew 1 had a pretty mediocre story, but then the Crew 2 is just a straight rip-off of Horizon and has no story at all. I also just don't get it. I assume people buy car games to race and look at cars, not listen to wub wub and do stupid dances wearing dumb clothes. In other news, I've *cough*acquired Toca 3 to try out. Apparently the Steam version has some type of DRM that will brick your PC. Super cool. Thankfully GOG exists and had a DRM free version that CM made them remove. Anyway, I don't think it's aged all that well. Visually it looks fine, not amazing, but the vehicle handling is just... weird. It's not a sim, but it's not arcade, but it's also not a simcade. The biggest issue is the absurd understeer that will just randomly decide to oversteer. But it's not snap oversteer on steering change or off throttle, you'll just understeer off the track, keep the same input, and then instantly spin. Jumps and bumps also upset the car way too much.

1 pointThank you! I had the Marlboro red, but I couldn't find which color to use for the main_s

1 pointI have to say.... It would be much better if we can post everything about Dirt 5 in Threads like before, because I am not a big fan of Discord, but if this should be the future, I think I have to use it. @PJTierney Can you tell this to the Dirt Team please? I play it on my Computer, I have a issue, that there is always the Windows Mouse Cursor in my game. I also would be happy, if you make the AI on very Hard faster. The Pathfinder Events are toooooooo easy, In my opinion, the Time to get all three stamp should be much lower. I really miss the Replay Mode 😞 It was soo cool in Dirt 2, Listen the amazing Rock Music while you can see how you drive. I play it on a RTX 2060 Super and I have sometimes on a few Tracks Graphics Issues and Stuttering, it is not in every Track, but in a few. This game is the 2nd best Dirt Game in my Opinion (Dirt Rally Series not included) there is Dirt Rally 2.0 the best. The only thing I don't like in Dirt 5 is Gymkhana, instead of this, it would be much better if there would be Rally Stages like in Dirt 2, or Trailblazer. What I really love in this game is the Career Mode with a lot of variety, the amazing Soundtrack, the very good Weathereffects and the Track choice. This game is very good, if you improve the AI on very Hard and fix other few issues, then this game would be even better, you did a great Job Codies. 😉

1 pointAgreed. Most people racing this online unfortunately are the same that race forza etc. They do not know how to leave space or feel that there's even a need. It's frustrating but like previously suggested, maybe join a league? Most they're will play the game alot more and have the etiquette required. I race a mini league with 5 mates weekly so luckily we're all in a party and get on so there's no crashing (intentionally at least!). If it makes you feel any better, the ai aren't much better!

1 pointNot only the handling but also proper car sounds, although it improved a bit from one game to another in the WRC series, nothing comes close to the Dirt Rally games when it comes to car sounds.

0 pointsSo Codemasters has been bought by Take-Two Interactive. Big surprise eh. I do hope racing games will still be made, albeit with better quality.

0 pointsTake Two make some great games, look at how much value for money GTA5 has been, so did CM... years ago! Currently CM isnt much better than EA in my opinion, My friends and I fell foul of the Grid 2019 money grab and looks like Dirt 5 is on a par to that! Hopefully T2 wil purge some of the management and give us the games we deserve!
