I dont think they will do something like that, because the new gen consoles have arrived and they will be making a game on the next gen for sure this year. Especially now with the help from 2k studios we may see great things happen

Still in progress @FMP_Gianlucac88, and we will be bringing the F2 update to the game.

Its exactly like this: 11 Spots, all for different sponsors and all colorable. but it's the spots we had before, like frontwing, airbox, rearwing...

Yep, when you have high grip surfaces like asphalt the physics model becomes a problem. On loose surfaces it's much less noticeable as the cars usually moves around much more but it can still be felt. IMO this is indeed what destroys the tarmac experience. You have a rear that rarely stays in a straight line when it should. Gives you the feeling of steering with the rear wheels instead of the front. When you exit a right hand corner and the car straightens out, the rear glides out to the left without losing actual traction. This also translates to the FFB of your wheel which want to counter that little move that shouldnt be there in the first place. All this sums up to the cars feeling disconnected from the road and lazy to drive. It becomes extremely obvious if you jump staright from DR2 to other rally titles, even something like WRC9. You instantly feel that the car have the correct pivot point and stays straight when it should.

Hello, Platform: PC-Steam Version: v1.13 Mode: Career mode Options: 50% - Short Q - 10 races I'm playing a career since v1.12. I played an entire season 1 of 10 races and now I'm on the last week end of my 2nd season. I started the Practice 1 and make my session with a old engine. I simulated the others practices sessions by pressing the touch "F1". The game skip Practice 2 and Practice 3. Note: I can't skip only Practice 2, if we skip 1 practice session, we are directly in qualification. Now I want to change engine for Qualification. I can change ONE part but if I change an other part I will be penalized by the parc fermé rule's. In v1.12, I make always this procedure: Put a old engine, play Practice 1, simulate Practice 2 and 3, put a better engine, play qualification and race. I know that I can't change between Qualification and Race but now it's between Practice 3 and Qualification. I can "cheat" by changing one part, return to menu, return on game, changing one part, return to menu,... I put a private video where I am changing all parts. We can see that I can perform to change one (or two...) but I need to reset by passing on the principal menu. https://youtu.be/Ia-JynQsuec [EDIT 21h45] - I didn't get any penalty by using the method in my video. - I restart the game, try a new career with an other team and I get the same issue, the same message is display if I change a part between Practice 3 and Qualification. But I didn't get a penalty even when not using the return menu method like in my video. I think it's just a "warning message" who there is no impact at all. The text say itself "the installation of this part will result in a penalty", so it's very confused...

Hello racers! Just wanted to give a ‘'state of the union' address on F1 2020, its launch and our focuses moving forward with the development cycle of the game. We'd firstly like to thank everyone for the positive feedback with our new Myteam game-mode, which has been a huge success and a valuable addition to the game. We’re also delighted to see that the updates and changes to our handling model have been so positively received. We are still working towards continuing to improve our game to be the best experience it can be. We have added a little insight into our plans moving forward for the development of F1 2020 below: Firstly, we have a title update coming very soon where we have addressed the following major issues: A much-requested performance patch, bringing the game closer to the always-changing pecking order of the sport. An exploit in Time Trial and events caused by entering and fast-forwarding an instant replay has now been resolved A Multiplayer issue that allowed a player to start a flying lap in qualifying where there is not enough time left in the session. A Multiplayer issue that stopped corner cutting penalties being applied when quitting and re-joining a race after a formation lap. Colour issues on sponsors suits, helmets and car liveries in MyTeam on the PS4 Pro A Multiplayer issue where framerates will drop and lock to 30FPS when re-joining an active race session that this player was previously a part of As well as this, we have fixes currently in the testing phase for the highly-discussed issues below: A 'Leagues' game-mode issue where results do not submit after completing races A multiplayer issue where quitting and re-joining a race with a formation lap can impact race results Race Director at the end of Practice Sessions doesn't show tyre used to set time. Xbox players being kicked from lobbies with the error code H078.6443. A MyTeam issue where facilities were resetting to zero and upgrades are stuck in progress A Multiplayer issue where a host will start the race before the rest of players if Formation Lap is On - This is something still in test, as our original fix scheduled fo r the upcoming patch did not pass the testing phase. We're also aware of the following key issues and are currently under investigation as a priority with the development team: Players reporting corrupt Save games. This seemed to happen after our 1.08 update – This one is of critical importance to us at the moment, and any PS4 and PC saves people can provide to us here would be really appreciated. A Multiplayer issue where users leaving and re-joining sessions can cause game performance issues for players racing in that session. A Multiplayer issue where the Player does not see the Race Start lights display. A MyTeam issue where some players have their Facilities development reset to 0 and upgrades to these are stuck ‘in progress’ Furthermore, the issues in the second and third sections are the key issues we are currently focusing on, but have not yet found a solution for. At the moment, we are still attempting to recreate these issues in the third section, so adding your information will be really helpful. Please note that as with all issues under investigation, we cannot promise a fix for these issues. If you experience these, please send us videos, full bug reports and report codes added onto the original threads so we can continue to diagnose and aim to resolve. Wishing you all well and good fortune on your heroics into saint devote. Barry EDIT: Just to update here for others reference, F2 2020 will be coming, and is currently a 'work in progress'. At the moment, I have no specifics regarding dates, but this is something we are working towards and are committed to completing.

Do you also have to problem, that the AI slows extremly down, when you are on the Inlap after a hotlap and they match you on the track? I think its generelly a good thing, that a AI Driver, who is not on a hotlap doesnt want to overtake me. But sometimes I just make a slow inlap and try to avoid more tire deg. but creates a little traffic, which disturbes other drivers on hotlap. Just because the other AI drivers does not want to overtake, even if they are faster (and are not on hotlap too). I thought about using the function to say Jeff "Pit Stop", could show the AI that I want to come in, so they can overtake me if they are faster. Maybe CM could think about this feature? @BarryBL Or do you have a solution for that problem?`How do you solve this situation? After a hotlap I really dont want to make another fast lap because of tire deg. By the way: Do you know what the radio function "Pit stop" makes? For what is this good? I haven't noticed any faster pit stops in race because of that.

Well its not like they can't get it done, Its the first Codemasters racing game i have not bought because of that achievement. I don't want to hate the game because of 1 achievement, as i don't want to spend 100hrs of grinding on the 1 track to get it. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be given a stern talking too. Codemasters needs to be very careful on these things, because there are millions of achievement hunters out there and if others have avoided games because of this then Codies are losing money. Didn't Microsoft & Sony waive patch fees a few years ago? Could you please at least pass this on to someone in charge and see if they would consider it.

Will there be any performance enhancements from running on the PS5, like improvements in frame rate?
  12. 1 point
Hopefully this will be of use. I bashed my head against this identical issue on my Xbox One S. Had a brainstorm and moved my connection from the front panel USB port to one on the back of the console. Now works perfectly. If the PS4 has multiple USB ports it might be worth trying a different one.

Hi Stanley, While I debate Hamilton being the best driver in F1 history (always Schumi for me), we have to follow the design approvals given to us by the F1 teams exactly. At this moment in time, the current designs we have do not have the differentiation halo colours on both Bottas and Hamilton.

Before reacting this way, you could've actually read the internet to find that backwards compatibility isn't 100% guaranteed and problems may occur. Besides that, the Codemasters games have never been without bugs, so I wouldn't be surprised if things won't work as they should. I hope it works flawlessly, but it would be nice to hear some first hand experience from people that have already played the game on a PS5.

We had 11 spots before for sponsors, just crammed into 5 spaces we controlled. Now we control all 11 spots. Very handy if previously option 1 controlled 2 different spots and our sponsor decal colour worked for one spot but not the other due to the livery

Hi there I have always loved F1 and have been playing F1 games for as long as I can remember, I just have a few things I would like to see in upcoming F1 games. Tyre usage, giving you the ability to be able to save tyres and use tyres at will, not be locked out of your tyre usage. Example, you can use an un-used set of tyres that you saved from practice and take them into qualifying or in the race in career, Grand Prix, leagues or online, etc The ability to pick or have a teammate in multiplayer cars in unranked, ranked lobbies or leagues The ability to choose how many drivers you want to have on the grid. Say you run a multiplayer car league, you can set more than 20 drivers on the grid. If you use F1 teams then you are limited to only 20 drivers More focus on the league system, having the ability to set stewards in the race, who can manually overrule or hand out penalties during the race. Potentially the in game stewards could be able to have access to a camera angle or on their screens which has every racers individual screen on it (Not sure how feasible or possible this may be but just an idea). Reserve driver selection needs to be improved particularly when you go to set reserve drivers. When you invite a player to take over as a reserve driver you can select from the list of drivers registered to the league on who they will be replacing for that race. Multiplayer car can be used in Grand Prix mode. In the editor menu you can select a team mate not currently with a current F1 team and then race your car. Performance can be edited in the editor menu. Also to be able to select what engine you would use. For Grand Prix mode this would make an extra team on the grid if you do not wish to just play my team Tyre heating and performance, making the drivers have to work to keep the tyres in the right window as they can be affected by track temperature, air temperature and whether much more than currently like in the real world of racing. Even locking up can flat spot the tyres, a bad enough lock up might force the driver to have to pit in for a new set. Esport racing is much more similar then any other esport series. There should be more emphasis and push that an esport racer or a everyday racer could jump into a proper formula car and have some knowledge of how the car and tyres work and feels. This giving esport drivers the chance to make it into the real world of racing. Potential to have a simulation specific game mode. This could be the addition of either a new game mode added with causal, standard and then simulation. This would also make the game a much bigger file size but would create a more realistic driving emersion. This plays into point number 6. Potential to run practice programs from career in unranked/league practice sessions. Giving the drivers the same information in practice programmes for unfranked / league races that they would have in career mode, which they can see in qualifying and race which will allow them to make a more informed decision. Safety car updates. Allow the back markers to pass the safety car and catch up to the field rather than being in the way. The safety car will need to wait for the drivers unlapping themselves to join the back of the field. Could have a specific time or lap number that back markers have to catch back up. Revised damage model. Being able to damage the floor, barge boards, or the rear wings when making contact rather than just only the front wing. This could be a sliding scale on how much you would allow the car to be able to be damaged such as regular, full or simulation damage More filters in unranked lobbies. Tracks, laps, practice, qualifying, damage etc Filter system in Car Setups. This will allow you to set many different variations in set ups at anytime and then easily be able to find them by filtering by tracks for you setup rather than scrolling down through many setups before you find the one you want. More in depth capabilities for 'Spectators' when viewing or running unranked lobbies or leagues. Adding extra depth into how the spectator can change between drivers, tyre usage, timing sectors etc. This could be done by potentially being able to map certain buttons on controllers or keyboards so that you can quick change rather than surfing through the driver board or the main index. Extra camera angles in spectator mode. Only having the two angles in which you can choose does limit how the spectator can view a particular battle or scene. Being able to make use of all the camera angles in single player replays will give the spectator/viewer a wider variety to choose from. Lastly, track limits. You should be able to use as much of the track as F1 drivers are allowed to use. Eg, Austria, the drivers are able use all of the curbs so long as they have a tyre on the curb. This will need to vary from track to track but using the same track limits as what the drivers were able to use from the past season will improve the drivers overall speed

The strict corner cutting is actually very consistent in F1 2020, exactly as in the FIA rule book the car must always be within the white lines. Stewards are lenient towards the drivers in the actual races but this will change with time as they are looking to implement the same in real life as well slowly.

Moved to suggestions as not a bug. All of that information is on your wheel, adding the sound for the DRS indication noise. I'd see it as unnecessary use of space imo.
