2 pointsHi everyone, To update, we have now replicated this and have a fix in testing. If all goes to plan, we are planning to schedule for the next upcoming patch.

1 pointSo I have raced pretty much every game since 2010. I have a lot of experience with this franchise now. I race on 103 difficulty on a controller 👀 100% race distance. I didn't expect it to be this long.. However: Firstly. A better way of seeing tire and fuel usage in the race (option to turn on or off in-game). I know you can see your fuel and tyre wear in the race, but hear me out. For those who complete the race tire and race strategy modes in practice. You get a percentage per lap, and fuel in Kg on each lap. It appears under your lap time on the top right side of the screen. For example. I've just completed the French GP. In the tyre wear management programme in practice, my target was 2.59% wear per lap on the mediums. I achieved 2.29%. Then when you do the race strategy programme, I aim for below 2.59% as a target so I know the tires will last the whole stint. As you get told you tire wear usage after every lap. When it comes to the race, the only tire wear you see is the total wear for each tire. So say I'm 15 laps in to a 19 lap stint. It is difficult to work out the mental maths required to see if I've saved enough grip to be able to push towards the end of the stint. Or if I've pushed too hard at the start. It would be really useful if on the screen, after 15 laps it tells me my average is 2.48% for example. So I know I could push harder before my pitstop. Secondly. During a race. Display more than 5 drivers around your position. (option to customise in-game). At the moment, you only see the time gap for two cars ahead, and two cars behind you. I'm not really sure why it isn't possible to show pretty much the whole grid. In spectator mode online, you see the whole lobby. Implement it into the career. That way you can see rival drivers strategies, what tire they're on etc. Make it look a bit more like the real broadcast. You could make it customisable. so for those who like it currently could keep it. Maybe display rival positions? Thirdly. Practice sessions. For me, It's still somewhat not really helpful for a lot of players. Including myself. For those who do long race weekends. It is well known in the real world that all the drivers will do a quali sim in P3. This never seems to happen in-game. When I do my Quali sim, I always end up finishing the session in the top 3. When my car is currently 10th out of 11 teams. It is almost as if the other drivers just circulate, but for the sake of circulating. They have no purpose. Also with the set-up of the car itself. The majority of the people who play are not engineers. Yes, you can load other peoples setup from TT. Having a race mechanic/engineer in game that helps you improve the setup of the car through the weekend would feel a lot more realistic. I had F1 2005? on PSP; and this is something they tried to implement in the game. By comparing lap times and making set-up adjustments to improve the car. Maybe you're slow in the straights compared to your team-mate? So it advises removing rear wing for example. Fourthly. Driver Rating. I don't have an issue with the driver ratings as such. However when you compare them to other games like FiFA. the ratings are far more in-depth and play a much bigger role. I feel the Driver ratings need to be expanded into more categories that make more of a difference. If a driver has had a good run of results like Gasly lately. It would be fair to say they have higher motivation, and thus be performing better. Compared to Vettel say, who seems very down about the way Ferrari treated him etc. and is finishing a long way behind his team-mate. Finally. Reliability. R&D. I'm sure this has probably come up before. The reliability at the start of any career is horrendously unrealistic. I understand it is to make you choose between keeping up with competition and not breaking down/taking penalties. Instead, why not reduce the effect durability has. From my understanding, once a part reaches 60% wear, you start to loose performance. Why not have a scale where after 10% you loose performance. but on a much more gradual scale. Giving you a delta of time loss per lap in the Power Unit screen. As a loose example. At 10% you loose 1/10th per lap. 50% you loose 5/10ths per lap. But once you hit 60%, the delta increase at a much quicker rate. so at 70% wear, you loose 1 second? The durability upgrades would then serve a better purpose. If your engine is wearing at a lower rate. Your overall race time would be quicker. Also, make the R&D tree vastly bigger. But reduce the performance of minor upgrades etc. Also add how much time is to gain for each upgrade. For example. A big engine upgrade might give you 3/10ths per lap. But improving you fuel efficiency improves your race time, not single lap time. so say 15 seconds per race. You could make better, informed choices about what upgrade/s you want to buy and save for next. If you made it this far down thank you! All of this I've accumulated from playing the games for so long, and I would feel make a great, positive difference to the career. I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on this, and other ideas! Adam J Dore

1 pointYeah, In my video you can see that I never received any penalties. You get a penalty if you take a new engine, not if you change. If in doubt, turn off the rule in the options and play it as it was. 😉 I don't think the AI change settings of the car or change engine parts even if the rule is disabled. Thanks BarryBL, good job to you and Codemasters team's 😀

1 pointHi Barry. It occurred at all tracks, although it may have been resolved in a recent patch. I will retest myself later tonight and let you know what happens

1 pointMate seriously, that looks awesome 😎 i cannot share mine because it is kind of embarassing 🙈😄 but if I would have that kind of gaming set I would need choose between my wife and the gaming 😂 sometimes I feel second 😄 No man I have to build up my wheel and pedals everytime I play and store it afterwards 😄 but for the first impression it works. It will be improved in a later stage when I have a proper plan for it and storage space 😉 Made my first race against 90 AI in Bahrain from 14 to p7 with Mercedes without any damages or trips away from the track. Still a long way though, but I was always pretty solid in racing games so I am looking forward 😎

1 pointHi, Thanks for adding your Multiplayer issue. However, we require all bug reports to follow and complete the template below. This is critical information Codemasters needs to be able to see your bug clearly. Link:

1 pointWould be cool, if you would post it also here right in time, because I refuse to use any big social media website. Toxic garbage. @connection: Game seems to work fine again for quite a while now, but unfortunately not fast enough for my club run, last two stages missing, due to time ran out. That's all your fault PJ, don't deny it! 😦🤪 dirtrally2.dirtgame is also working again, but took a bit longer. Hopefully it's working tomorrow without problems, because I have to do my DRC-run to beat @somethingthing by minutes! Maybe not...
-
1 pointIt took me a while too. I learned in rally (with an F1 rim) so transitioning to F1 wasn't hard for me.
-
1 pointGood spot @HenricusVonG. Replicated, bugged and with developers 👍
-
1 pointGet your wheel calibration sorted as early as you can, as learning with "poor" wheel settings will take longer 🙂 Lots of guides on YouTube, and some wheel manufacturers have recommended settings too so try those out.
-
1 pointYep same ol' racenet again. Pressed OK and tried again and now this came up: I know of at least two more that have issues I really hope this wont be the beginning of a new "It seems to be working good over here" and back to the old racenet issues that was everyday for like a month...

1 pointBoth are already taken, we only have a few seats left, if you hurry you can still get one of them.

1 pointI prefer not to post it. I sent it to you in a PM. The board is an ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac.

1 pointI bought the T300 this summer and finally made the switch from pad to wheel. I wasn't using any assits on the pad except automatic shifting. So manual shifting was something that I had to get used to, however, it only took me a couple of hours. Personally, I find that using the pedals is more difficult. I just couldn't find my rhythm in the beginning and it definitly took me more than 10-15h to get used to it. I'd say it took me a full season (race length: 50%) to really get used to the wheel and become fast. Setting the linearity for acceleration and breaking to 50% helped me a lot - especially with the breaking. After 2 full seasons, I'm about 2 sec faster per lap than on the pad. The difference in accuracy, handling in general and being able to put in constant lap times is huge - in particular on tracks like Silverstone or Suzuka.

1 pointThe F1 franchise suffers from the same issues as any other annual release. Most of the changes are cosmetic and only marginal improvements are made. Making large scale changes is very difficult with such a short window between releases.

1 pointThis is a good title to pick up and play when you just have that need for a quick racing fix. Compared to DR2 the main advantages are that it loads faster, the campaign is more involved with how you go about managing the team and stages and the handling feels good with the weight transfer and grip. On the other hand the arbitrary objectives are sometimes problematic. There's not a lot of them and it just feels like something that should have been further developed. One other problem I have is the widely swinging difficulty. It's good that you can set it before each event, but some events you can easily win, while in others (I'm looking at you, historic races) you really struggle. All in all and like others have said: DR2 is one, WRC9 is another. They can co-exist very well.
-
1 pointMy advice would be to turn off all assists from the start to avoid becoming too used to them. Just do laps in time trial. It takes a while but you have to keep at it.
-
1 pointYes, but first you need to complete 1 race, if we see you are a clean driver you get your seat. Full Damage

1 pointHi All, I just installed the xbox one game pass version from windows game store, and I can confirm this as well. Telemetry doesn't work with 2019 windows; however, it works just fine w/ xbox one x version. This is really frustrating because the reason I wanted to move to PC is to utilize my three monitor setup, and I can't do that now. Thanks z

1 pointJeff: Ok we have a new strategy option to f%?& up the one you setup , so now please stop looking at the track and focus on the menu options.
-
1 pointThere are tracks on which it's very hard to start scrolling and looking at what kind of strategies Jeff is proposing, as the time window is only 30 seconds. Tracks like Monaco, Hungary and Singapore are so intense that there are parts of the track where I can't simply take my eyes off the road for a long enough time to see what's up. Many other tracks also have ~30 second sections where I find it difficult, especially when racing other cars.

1 pointI don't understand how the AI complexity works either ?! In the career "my team" I decided to raise the complexity of the AI, because my team is not developed, but in the last races I come consistently with very good points, and I have driven only 13 races. Loaded the next stage 14 - Belgium, C1. Qualifying circle started comparing task time: AI complexity 100%, required circle time of the problem - 1:45.830 101% - 1:45.592 102% - 1:45.345 103% - 1:45.097 104% - 1:44.862 I complete the lap for 1:44.9** and decided that the optimal difficulty for the current Grand Prix and for the next one should be 102%. But the next time C1 of Belgium is loaded, the AI 102% already requires a different time, the earlier it was necessary 1:45.345, and now it is necessary 1:44.8** ... I change the complexity of the AI and the timing of the tasks in practice. in C1 the required time is 1:45.5 and in C2 the required time is already different - 1:45.0 I do not understand...

0 pointsWould like to see it confirmed from a more credible source... https://dirtfish.com/rallycross/world-rx/world-rxs-nurburgring-finale-canceled ...but it looks like that is it for the 2020 WRX season.

0 pointsDid leg 1 of NZ, went OK except overpushing a few times so had at least one off per stage. Then thought I'd make use of the sun today, went out climbing, came home, decided to vacuum since I dragged a lot of dirt inside. When I vacuumed around the wheel I got a sudden flash from static electricity, and then it wouldn't work.... So I'll try to order a new PSU for it, but will probably not be able to drive for a little while.
