Busy day on here today, but just want to +1 with whoever thinks the current stages should be brought back. There's ~300km of the best rally stages that have been modelled there, and if a game with improved graphics and physics comes along I really hope we get to use them. Heck, the Finalnd stages are amazingly modelled, but I haven't once been able to enjoy them at speed in either game because of DR1's weird floaty effects and DR2's inability to run them without layering smoke from a forest fire over the top. Yes, some longer stages would be nice, but it's the number of unique KM I'm counting, not the length of each individual stage - I wouldn't complain with some longer ones, but personally I'd love DR3 to 'just' focus on expanding the existing locations with new stages to make those 'events' seem more varied; having Germany only at Baumholder, having Monte only on the Turini, Argentina only at Condor... these stages are 'special' rather than representative of their respective events so it would be great to have more 'normal' ones to intersperse them with. Just, please, no enforced fog - your stage modellers deserve better!

I'm the Rally guy, but WRC is a long ways away yet so let's see what happens. Yesterday's news was about VW only, not the entire VW group. Again, too early to tell what happens with future games. I also don't know if our licensing agreements were with Volkswagen or Volkswagen Motorsport. Either way, just enjoy the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 in DiRT Rally 2.0 for now 🙂 I play on Xbox (One X until I get a Series X) but I do have a 1080ti, which based on those benchmarks still holds up. Fujimi Kaido was good but Camino Viejo is where it's at. Today's my day off, but I'm here talking to you lot (I'm also off for most of December starting end of next week, so don't expect to see me around much until January) Yup, Microsoft licenses all its content for 4 years for each title, which is why the games get delisted after that. I imagine when you have a game with hundreds of cars the renewal fees are too great, plus it's better to transition people to new games anyways. Funnily enough, DiRT Rally's had its renewed at least once I believe; that's why it's still on sale.

I have the Samsung Q80T with the same issue for ps5. I emailed the codemasters team a week ago regarding this and they are aware of it fso I'm sure something will be sorted soon. Just for your information I believe it's the latest 1.0.3 update because I played the game in its standard version when I got the PS5 in high frame rate mode and it didn't have an issue then. So the update somewhat has something to do with it. Hope this helps.

I've recently picked the game up in a sale, and having not bought last years game either I was really disappointed to see the same problems two years down the line. This is a game breaking bug. I was running P6 at Spain with 10 laps remaining, the safety car was deployed when I was at the penultimate corner so I went in for fresh softs. Hamilton was P5 some 40s ahead of me, Albon & Sainz were being kept at bay 1.5-2s behind me and Ocon was 30s behind me in P9. I'm on well used hards doing a one stop, Albon & Sainz were two stopping on fresher hards & mediums. It's a no brainer to come in as Albon & Sainz have a tyre life advantage over me and I have a pit window to Ocon. It never crossed by mind, being P6, that I would be lapped during the stop so you see where this is going. Only when I caught up Verstappen had lapped Sainz and Albon got to go around and get a lap on us. How? Sainz didn't pit and Verstappen wasn't approaching us on the radar prior to the SC so how does this happen? No penalty to Verstappen. To annoy me further the AI logic here was terrible, Verstappen was one stopping and on old hards, Bottas was two stopping and behind on fresher mediums, Leclerc was third but came behind me under the SC after I'd caught it so they easily had a pit stop on him. There's no way that Red Bull don't bring Max in for fresh tyres, and then Bottas doesn't pit either. And thinking of it there's also no sense in Albon staying out on the slower hards either. I'll just be turning SC off it's well and truly broken.

Hey @BarryBL, First of all thank you SO MUCH for the reply and explanation regarding sharing saves. It is indeed still happening to me, but not exactly in the proces you described. Below you will find my exact proces of two particular times this bug happened to me. (Full bug reports of these are on the first page in this thread : ) ) This really is a nasty bug and I am certain it has something to do with the dutch gp. It happened to me in both full season and shortened seasons. I really dont know what kind of screenshots I could provide, since the game never crashed or gave an error of some sort, it just resets the acclaim totally silently. 1st case: I was done playing the Dutch GP in ‘My Team’ mode. Before I started the last practice session (calendar screen) I exited the game to play it later. When I started my Xbox the next day and loaded the ‘My Team’ saved game, I completed the barcelona practice session. Post session I noticed that my team and driver acclaim had been reset to level 1. Whereas, I had already finished 5 races in the season and Team acclaim before the error was over 7 and I had just signed a new sponsor - DSB Opticals. Since my acclaim has been reset to level 1, the new sponsor also went off. 2nd case. It happened again in the middle of my third season! This time, it happened in the following order: - one day ago, I played everything of the dutch gp (sessions/qualifying/race) in one go, everything went fine and I only quit when in my first on-track center (without financial tab) FOR THE NEXT GP (one A press would have me start the first practice session of the Azerbaijan track). - Next day. I played the first practice till the timer ran out, I am again in my on track center, simulate practice from session 2 onwards. Result screen. BOOM! Level one again in driver AND team! @BarryBL I hope these cases combined are usefull enough to find the horrendous bug. I follow this thread, so if you need anymore information, or have more information for me, dont hesistate to ask/post it here!

I confirm, I'm in Baku Driveer Career with 1.13 and it's still happening Q2 --> Albon out in P11 being P7 after the first time attack, Leclerc safe for a miracle (0,020 s.) and also Verstappen (0,188 s.) and Bottas (0,255 s.) were at risk! With Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari being by far the 3 top teams (season 2). Second lap run only by the last six drivers of the first attempt, two of them ended in P2 and P3 (!!!), other two in P7 and P8. Only two did not qualify. Can't wait it will be fixed... Cya, Nuv

If Codemaster doesn't have the decency to keep us posted on this socalled 'official Codemasters' forum, we have to find the truth ourselves; i found this post (December 2nd) on the Steam forums today: ChrisGroves18 (Codemasters) Today at 7:46 AM The latest (and first post-launch) DIRT 5 Rear View update is here, reviewing the last month of game news and community highlights! Included in here is a message concerning the next game update: After setting a tentative date for the end of November, this update and addition is now moving into early-December, as we make absolutely sure that everything is good to go and your experience in the game is further improved. Apologies for the very small delay - it'll be worth it! " In other words: we all can wait, wait, wait again. The support for this game is just too ridiculous for words...

Yes I noticed that too: The amount of spam threads in this board is ridiculous and shows the non-professional attitude of Codemasters towards their customers. After all this, I can't believe to have spend money on Dirt 5; in the past I never really had any doubts about buying a Dirt title; from now on it will be different...

Are you still experiencing this @TasmanianTiger? Can you provide screenshots of this please? Unfortunately, Xbox doesn't allow us to access player saves without the profile login information, which we cannot request due to privacy/GDPR. Is the exact process? 1./ MyTeam - Dutch GP (Have a LV1+ acclaim) 2./ Start Session 3./ Advance to Race - Mid-Session Save and Exit. (Did you experience a crash here?) 4./ Restart Outcome: Save is useable, but acclaim is reset to 1.

Thanks 👍 That is just the Ferrari Add on wheel from Thrustmaster. http://mobile.thrustmaster.com/node/4283 But i did put some extra money to it (around 180 euro) and added some other stickers on it (Overtake, MFD etc), put an Samsung S4 phone in a case and did change the shifters to magnet shifters. For me, the wheel is good this way and no futher tweaking needed for my taste. See here the old and new shifters from 3DRAP.IT

I noticed this behaviour in many vids. It's a bit weird. The AI behind you immediately attacks you if they see a little chance which is fine. But if they made a stop for example the drive 10 laps behind clearly slower cars without attacking them. This is a reason why 50% races with a one stop vs AI two stop is so much overpowered.

Exactly. I use the same wheel and it is really great with F1 game

I've been having the exact same issue running on the Samsung Q80t. Thought it was a faulty TV or console so im glad its not just me. Thanks for the work around but this does need fixing.

Yep, on my Driver Career, Bottas is winning so much and getting pole in pretty much every race that I genuinely considered posting a topic in here a few days ago with the concern that his and Hamilton's code had been accidentally mixed up. It really feels that way.

They obviously don't even check these forums. Look at the amount of spam threads in this board with zero moderation. No support, no communication. Come on to f*#k Codies. This game was the biggest waste of money for me since Grid 2.

Thanks PJ for taking to time to respond to all of my questions and comments. We are lucky to have such a great Dirt Rally community manager. Will you also be the community manager for the eventual Codemasters WRC games? I really hope so.

I definitely want them all back. Especially Scotland, wich is the best rally location I've ever driven in a game. And I'm around for a while as a gamer. Would be ok for me paying again for them to have them in the next game. It's less work for the developers and more content/variety for the DR3. So win/win. Imagine a club league championship with the option to choose from 19 locations. Awesome. Nobody can expect 12 new locations for DR3, that's just not realistic with this level of detail. And they never can go back to static track surfaces, track degradation is the best thing ever introduced and I want that to be evolved. too! With the combination of better/more aggressive tyre options (more (or any) reasons to choose mediums over softs) that could be epic! And an evolved clubs feature with more options to make them unique. Wohoo! Nintendo is really disgusting regarding online related things. I saved all my purchases from the Wii Shop Channel additionally on SD cards as back up, so I'm good with this. But they already started doing similiar moves on eShop for Wii U. Pikmin 3 and it's DLC got removed on the day Pikmin 3 Deluxe got announced for Switch! And Super Mario Maker will lose its upload feature at the end of march 2021. It's just a matter of time, were they announce to close the eShop on Wii U and 3DS completely. So nobody is able to buy classic Nintendo games anymore, just subscribe to their Switch Online model. I could rage the whole day about that. I HATE subscription models. I wanna buy and play my games whenever I want! This is the reason I hate My Team in DR2.0. It's just a matter of time you can't play this anymore, too! X-Box Live is (currently) better than this. You can still re-download all your bought stuff even if it got removed from the store. In my case with GRID 2 it was just a stu*** system in place, because since I never downloaded the stuff related to the "All Access"-key, it isn't available in my download history, even if it should be available, because I own it. No, I want hand made stages. Procedural generated stages look always generic. I read that statement a few days ago and understand it. But it is still bullsh**! They just do it to push the service and they are the only ones, who can afford this, because they have almost endless money available. They want to kill the option to actually buy the games, so you just have the option to play the game how they want, how long they want and as much they want. Total control. This model will kill most small none long term service-games in the future. There is no reason to produce single player-story driven games, because with this kind of service you need attention for the game for a long time. Also all games with licenses like racing games will have a short live window, because car licenses will expire after a few years and the games get removed completely, if you can't buy them anymore. Sounds good. I love Outrun and I'm searching for a similiar experience. Unrealistic. The day a classic Toyota joins the DiRT Rally franchise is the day when pigs can fly 😆 They allowed to leave? I expect 16h a day/7 days a week work until DR3 is out! 😃 Where is my lash!? 🤔

One thing they can do is start working on them now if they haven't already. There are 13 locations in Dirt Rally 2.0 but many of those were carried over from Dirt Rally and refreshed. I see what you're saying but you also have to consider that people usually want more and games launching with less cars, less circuits or less stages/km/miles usually aren't going to be praised for doing so. They especially aren't going to be well received if they are the same stages for the third time around in a rally game. You're not supposed to have the stages memorized in rally like you do in circuit racers (realize you know this, just stating the obvious for emphasis). I agree that having the entire team being able to focus completely on Dirt Rally should help some. They don't have to release more than 6 brand new locations if they have one 25+ km stage and one other unique stage per location in my opinion. They pretty much already did GAAS which is why I spent roughly $119.97 to get all of the Dirt Rally 2.0 content as soon as it launched. They can release additional locations later on but I would rather have all DLC be brand new stages for the rally content even if that means less of it in total. If I want to drive Dirt Rally 2.0 stages, I'll just play Dirt Rally 2.0 stages. I don't think people will be as receptive this time around for carry-over stages from previous games but that's just the opinion of one person. I always strive to provide suggestions and constructive criticism. I know the Dirt Rally team works extremely hard to give us the best rally game that they can and my intent is only to help. I never said what I was asking wasn't difficult but I think it would make for a spectacular experience as far as tackling longer and unique stages goes.

Regarding Stages, locations are the single biggest time resource in the game's development, taking up the vast majority of art time, research etc. I don't think having a full rally's unique stages would be viable unless you want a game to take 10 years to make 🙂 I'm all for a longer "parent Stage" though, which could then be cut up into 5, 6 or 7 "child" Stages compared to the 4 we have now.

The things I find annoying in the first chicane at Monza is not just that you get pinged 5 seconds under slow mode for cutting the corner, but also you get pinged a 5 second penalty when another driver forces you off the track as you go into the corner. The game treats being forced off the track as deliberately cutting the corner.

I think that could be a good thing the possibility to have 4 spots for commentators and streamer because a lot of league use at least 3 people to stream a race (2 commentators and 1 streamer) so they have to decrease the number of drivers from 20 to 18 and remove a team. I don't know if this thing it's possible but, if yes, would be great!

Hello, after many days looking for an answer I found the solution on REIZA STUDIOS forum: Please do as follow: 1. From Windows, search “regedit” 2. Go to, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_046D&PID_C262 3. Check the value of the device. Right click the OEMData, and then change/edit the value to be 43 00 08 10 19 00 00 00 4. Restart PC. Re-configure game settings as required and be happy.... *Credits to Peter Stefani.

isnt that related to the driver skill level? I think Charles has in my 4th season also 92 OVR and he is leading the championship with a midfield Ferrari, Vettel is 15th I think. However, I like it that way! much more interesting! I think people complain way too much here about this and that....glad that I am not a game creator, I would have said "well then *peep*off - you will have no new F1 game anymore, I am out, create your own *peep* then, see if you can do it better"

Honestly the track limits on this game are a joke, regular track limits is like non existing track limits, the amount of cutting you can get away with is ridiculous and the strict track limits are way to harsh. The track limits on strict need to be limiting after the cerbs in stead of the white line just like irl... Also why does every corner on this game have track limits? There are corners where you don't even gain time if you go wide or cut the inside but you still get a penalty... Please have a look into this
