You can't even use F2 2020 cars in CAREER mode it appears either. So, A slight bit disappointing?? It's far more than a slight bit disappointing to me. That's the whole point of having the F2 2020 drivers; so you can build your team and mode with CURRENT drivers, not drivers from over a year ago. Another case for making Codies realize the next F1 game needs to be released with the 2021 F2 driver roster, not just a copy and past of this new update we just got As you said, hopefully there's a fix incoming for this; but given how long this update took to begin with, I'm not going to hold my breath. Used to have alot of faith in these guys but the way this year's game has panned out I'm seeing why many others around here have been beyond frustrated over the past few years. Hard to believe we waited this long for this, just to use them in "grand prix" mode. The good thing about this update is that it's free, I guess you get what you pay for.

Patch 1.14 is now LIVE across all platforms. Please see below for latest patch notes Added the F2 2020 Season Vehicles PS4 - Addressed an issue where French and Spanish audio would not be available for specific regions Addressed an issue for Xbox One X users where audio could cut out when near other cars Tyre wear will now correctly be tracked when leaving/joining a session Weather forecast is now correct in full qualifying Tyre icons are now aligned on the spectator HUD regardless of the number of laps completed Although a smaller update in terms of fixes, we have dedicated a lot of time into getting F2 2020 across to players due to the amount of demand for these cars. Happy racing, Barry

Bit like the way an off-cut of the intro sequence in The Shining, where a car is winding its way thru some mountains, was used later in Blade Runner for its 'happy ending' sequence as they drive into the mountains. Thankfully cut from the Directors Cut. Kinda sorta like that

I started a new my team career yesterday, and before the first grand prix my car was ranked around 7th on the R&D screen. A bit unrealistic already being faster than williams, haas and alfa romeo considering its a new team which doesn't even have any decent facilities? I'm going back to standard career mode for now, wanted the team to be the slowest originally and build from nothing!

Hi @BarryBL I tried to create a new car livery and it works. I don't know why but it's okay. Thanks for helping me. Have a nice day

Oh man, that's really disappointing. Was looking forward to signing Ticktum in MyTeam and have a teammate rivalry with him. Thought that was going to be a thing since the game's release.

Hi Barry, I am sure that those incidents requires at least VSC. I dont have the footage of this but do you really believe that within the 2 season there was no incident which requires at least VSC? Because, when i see the other gameplay videos, generally whenever the car parked to the right or left side of the road due to a mechanical failure they have at least VSC. However in my case, as i said i had multiple incidents during the race like retirements but i never see VSC at all. For safety car, i intentionally forced it. I just turn the wheel to another car and caused to a really big crash then i had the Safety car. However in normal conditions none of the AI crashes or AI retirements are causing neither VSC nor SC. Could you please help me in this topic?

Can anybody show the new driver ratings? Especially for f2?

Can you try comparing how you perform on TT with Zandvoort and another circuit, as this would be the great equaliser. Russia, my AI is 108 and I could really go to 110 I think now, but Hanoi is a struggle at 85. For Zandvoort, I'm pretty average (around 100-103) for where I normally am for other tracks, so I have to initially suspect drivers may have separate strong and weak tracks.

I am the host of Nix Go Speed Ignore the name, this was like the 5th iteration after we had to restart it so many times because of 'option lockout' after creation time

The League is called Nix Go Speed, the owner being ChrisbyFlanker. I will ask him to comment on this post.

Presumably some of the tech made its way into the Polyphony engine for Gran Turismo Sport. I know the first-party studios tend to share bits of tech around, like how an early prototype of Sea of Thieves' water physics was used to create the oceans in Forza Horizon 3.

Year One Pass gives you all of this; it essentially turns your game into Game of the Year Edition:

Differential: 100% = Locked (easier to oversteer) 50% = (half) Open Front Brake Bias: 70% = Mostly towards the front (better for slowing the car down) 50% = more towards the back (better for steering while braking) Quick tip for pad players, go into your controller settings and then to MFD Shortcuts. Set up the Right Stick to flick Differential/Brakes up and down 🙂

do this and @BarryBL and codemasters might be able to help

Logitech G27/G29 - fantastic entry wheels that you can easily put a few hundred, if not, thousand hours into and enjoy every minute of it. CSW - oh man now we start getting some feedback. You can't believe how much more there could have been. Accuforce/Simucube - holy ****. you can't can feel every pebble and kerb. half the time you forget this isn't your real car as you reach for a non-existent cupholder. Basically an entry wheel like the G29/T150 will give you a fantastic experience. You can set world records with them and fight for top positions in championships in real events (CRSedmicky was driving on a G27 when he qualified for the first World Championship). But if you're willing to invest the money, the experience starts to become so much deeper. Is it worth the money? Up to you to decide, but if you love racing I can say it isn't uncommon to put more hours driving a sim-rig in a week than you do your real life car... sometimes 2-3x more virtual miles per day. The fancy equipment doesn't make you faster though, only more consistent. Consistency lowers times, but don't fall into the trap that you have to spend money to be fast on the best gear. The other huge component I see a few others mention - a wheel is only so good without a solid frame to mount it to. This doesn't have to be an expensive frame, but getting your body positioning to match that of a real car does HUGE things for the experience. I'd go so far as to say I'd much rather take a G27 on a quality Sim-Labs rig than a brand new direct drive wheel mounted to my desk. Basically a wheel + pedals gets you 80% of the experience, adding a sim-rig gets you another 10% or so. Upgrading from an entry wheel to a top of the line wheel won't get you a 10% immersion increase IMO, and therefore getting a whole package sums up to much more than just a single high end component.

In the next update. It is not know when that update will come out

This is a good answer. A more locked differential provides better straightline performance as the rear wheels focus more on propelling the car forward. (more obvious when on-throttle than off-throttle) As for tyre wear, the main contributor to tyre wear is how much the tyres slide in relation to their direction of travel. In more simple terms, spinning the wheels too much, leaning too hard on them in corners, turning the steering wheel too hard or locking up the brakes all increase tyre wear. Lower differential settings help reduce the potential for wheelspin on-throttle, which is why some people like to bring that setting down. The main benefit of lower diff though is that when you get on the throttle you won't spin the car as much, which I presume is the primary goal.

70% is good which is why it's the default. It does take a bit of learning though, which is why lower is recommended to begin with. The downside of lower differential setting is that while you improve performance in terms of reducing car rotation, you lose out on straightline acceleration as the rear wheels aren't focusing on pushing the car forward as much. As for lockups, that's a braking thing. You should never be locking up the wheels on acceleration. For the avoidance of doubt, the Differential setting is for Acceleration, not slowing down. There is an Off-Throttle Differential setting in the tuning menu, but that mainly controls how much over/understeer the car will have when... off-throttle. Official tutorial here: And here's my take on the topic if you want something with an Irish accent:

We have a in-game update coming very soon, which will explain this in detail. We just needed to add some additional driver statistics into the game via a Online Services update before we could successfully implement this update first.

I don't suspect we will hear much, if anything at all, until the end of 2021. As much as I want a new Dirt Rally game, I want them to take their time and put the new console hardware and PC GPUs to work. Whenever they decide to release information on the next rally game, really hoping they decided to cut the cord on previous gen hardware and to wow us with a new engine, visuals and an updated physics model. If it's the same people on the team that made DR 2.0 then I am very optimistic about the next entry.

From our league races @SabolcSaghmeist, I 100% can be that inconsistent! I'm sure lots of other F1 forum racers will testify to that. Russia I can fight for wins, Monaco I'm lucky to get points. To address the original post, we would probably need more concrete information and feedback from a number of players to look into this. Considering your gap to P2 is 0.082 of a second (fractional) and we've not seen other reports of this, I have to presume you've put together a really good lap. We also don't know your usual performance at 103 on other tracks (are you still winning?) so its a hard measuring stick with only 1 end of it at the moment. If the gap was about 3 seconds to P2, either there's a problem or you need to be in esports!
