  1. In what sense is it a backwards step for you? The lack of classic cars and the loss of the Vietnam track (and possibly China) are the only clear negatives I can think of quickly. Whereas lots of things have been added, which may well not interest you but will others.

  3. Konami's lighting tech is top-notch; I think it's all that's left of Fox Engine really. The tech director for the game engine left when Kojima did so it never really got developed further.

  4. Deluxe preorders give 'early access' to the game so yes, essentially that means the release date is the 13th.

  5. It is definitely concerning quite how long this major issue has now been going on without a resolution ☹️. Obviously the timing is poor from the devs side given the work to get the new game ready but not giving an apparently game-breaking bug for so many higher priority really isn't good. Like others I'm left wondering why some form of reversion to however things worked pre-1.18 might not have been achievable by now. I was thinking I might sell my copy of F1 2020 once the new game is out but I really couldn't do that in good faith currently given this issue.

  7. I assume you're probably done with this game from here but this would be a really nice and easy fix I think if you would be so kind! So many players online use black / dark liveries which show as black icon on the mini-map while racing, this can be very difficult to see to tell if one of these cars is behind me or around me on track. Result is they can often spring out of nowhere and catch me unawares while racing. I would hope you could add perhaps a thin white circle around the blip if it is registered as black or dark.

  11. And point is? He said BP looks like 2K career and i said no it isnt it is just copy of Journey. Do you want to disagree?

  12. Sorry but are u blind man? Braking point is paste of Journey from Fifa.Did u ever play NBA 2K career? U can create and face scan your player.Sign with real sneakers brands. In breaking point you will play as predefined driver exactly like Journey :D.

  13. Have you ever wondered what the Codemasters DiRT Rally Team's Ford Fiesta Rally4, driven by Jon Armstrong and co-driven by Phil Hall, would look like on the Ford Fiesta R2 in DiRT Rally 2.0? Well, you don't have to wonder no more!!! >>> Download link <<<

  14. Yeahhhh, not going to be able to get around that one. I get that it's an EA policy but a lot of big fans of the series are about to get a shock. There may well be review bombs on the back of it.

  15. Braking Point looks something more akin to 2K's NBA series in tone, perhaps rather than the Journey. I''d still like to see a little more of it but some interesting scenes highlighted in there. Lighting on tracks looks a little better, again, it's improved year on year though I did think 2020 was a little too on the dialled up brightness side. I wonder if a look at Konami's incredible real world lighting in their PES serious could assist going forward. Though it is incredible to look at 19/20 and then go back and play 17 for example! It's night and day different in quality.

  19. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 It just feels like the lack of general understanding about this in the consumer base has played into Fanatec and a Microsoft’s hands, and means we can’t ask the right questions - it’s probably where they want us while they figure things out, but is certainly bad from a customer relations point of view. While the information we have found and presented has moved the conversation on a bit, it appears it has moved it into a bit of a no-mans land; - If Microsoft are hesitant to open up their limitations, then we could direct our issues to them. Fine. If this was

  21. Fun fact: This came about because Esteban Ocon was playing an older F1 game, and couldn't use his own name as his Career Mode character 😄

  22. I have no idea really. I only got that from TRL Limitless, especially when he did the TSRL league race in Japan when he made a crazy one stop work from lap 6 or 8 I think. He said that one click of wing adjustment could affect 3-5% ers I think or even more, but it is not higher than 10%. We all could test it though. Just go into a Grand Prix mode, set the ai to low levels, and do drive around different setups to see how much ERS usage you get. In F1 2018, it was brake pressure that you could adjust in order to affect your ERS harvesting. In 2019, I am not sure of it because I did no

  23. I think the main issue is that drivers are allowed to change strat modes during the race, which we think are the engine mode settings, but in fact the ERS settings. In addition to that, I think we may understimate the effect of the ERS on the cars, or we probably not noticing it, as it is not that « visible » to our eyes or ears. I still think there is more explanation needed to note the difference because I feel like the engine mode is controlled by the team in the pitwall, whilst the ERS modes which are the strat buttons on the steering wheel, are controlled by the driver. As you said, if st

  24. I hope it comes soon! I don't think I'm going to do any comparisons with DR1, I just don't have that much interest as everything seems to be focused on DR2.0 and beyond. Currently learning to play AC with controller to get a feel for their tarmac physics, very different experience!

  25. i could be wrong but you could only get pit coin straight away on the game if you had pre ordered any of the versions so i don't think you can also jsut be careful when making posts as you accidently made another one like this.

  26. Agreed. Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was having a go at you personally, or at CM. It's just a frustrating situation all around. But thank you for helping bring a bit more clarity to the matter.

  27. I think that particular cut is well within the acceptable margin considering esports lines at Wales during the last championship e.g. That cut gains you .5 seconds maximum. The problem is the potato lines that the game allows and that lead you so far off-track that you're actually almost leaving civilization. ^^

  28. I agree with this idea. Maybe a two-tone team-relevant colour scheme would be beneficial with different colours for the main icon body and the outline. For example; McLaren would be orange icon with light blue outline. Aston Martin would be Green with Pink outline. Alpha Tauri will be darker blue with white outline. Ferrari will be red with black outline. You get the general gist of the idea there. Just two contrasting colours. One light and one dark so all cars are noticeable on the minimap.

  29. Holy moly, All my students have submitted their major essays, last few came in today only 2 days past the due date. This is unheard of, most of the time they come in weeks after lol. Well no more lounging about the house playing Mass Effect, got some work to do now. I'm off to Naracoorte on Sunday for the field work season, I've got my own cabin in the caravan park as I'm the only female staff member doing teaching this year, this means my wife can come down to visit if she can get some time off when she gets back from Hawaii. Gonna be so fun!

  30. Absolutely totally understood , I've said it endlessly on here myself. .........he replied to me , I replied to him. Its a shame our views are different on the matter but you will find that in life not everyone holds the same view. Its just a fact of life , Personally I don't care about it being inclusive as a game , of course I understand why the game is like it is and it is not to make it inclusive its to make as much money as possible ; obviously , F1 IRL is an Elitist Sport ; not everyone can participate. So what would be so odd about a game about it not being accessible to all , People on

  31. I think you are mistaking this game for a simulation , this is an arcade game and the main audience members are youngsters or kidults hence the amount of time spent on producing sideshow items like the banana splits oven gloves and ephemera available in the pits shop or the amazing ' Childs Story ' Breaking/Braking point. There is a confusion here about what this game is actually about , because its about so many things that not everything can be fully realised, IMWO of course. One would think that tracks would matter , but what about what Devons butler is upto , will he , wont he , ma

  32. Hello, I feel like we need a 3rd corner cutting system, because regular is too forgiving, often you can cut or exdeed corners by ridiculous amounts, which makes it unavailable to use for any sort of somewhat competitive racing. With strict however, its a system that many people simply dislike and don't enjoy, because the tracks nowadays are build in a way where the intuitive racing line doesn't get definied by the white lines on track edges anymore, the intuitive line often goes off the track, which is a flaud by the track designers, but nothing the game can fix. Therefore I would l

  33. In F1 2021 it would be great to have more control of your car, like: - Practice starts (at the end of the pitlane or after qualifying on the grid) - Drive in the pitlane (pitstops, weight bridge) - Drive to the grid (before the race & formation lap) - Drive after the race (victory lap, drive to park ferme) If someone has other ideas make sure to recommend them in the comments! @BarryBL
