  1. Hi all, so it just has been announced that Turkey will be replacing the Singapore GP in RL F1 2021. Since the Turkish Circuit has been part of the F1 championship during 2 consecutive years now, I would wish that Codemasters would integrate it into the F1 game series as well. I for one would prefer being able to drive a championship identical to what happens IRL, at least as long as it is being callled the "official" F1 game. Would you like to see Turkey included? (and no, I am not asking if you think its difficult to make a track, or if it was possible to integrate it - i am asking

  2. I mean, they were right if they were 100% sure a year ago. We didn't even know it'd be on this seasons calendar until about March this year so they could only have been talking about including it in last years game... and it's going to be approximately a year and a half after that. So they couldn't have been more correct. The question did discuss about whether we'd want it in the game and, I guess it's a moot question. Everyone either wants the track in because they'll drive on it, or they don't care because it's not one they'll drive on. Nobody is going to actively NOT want something to

  3. Yes, you're correct that anyone should be able to race under the flag of their choice. I'll get that in before anything else. However, regarding the political backlash part, a flag is not 'just a flag'. A flag is a symbol of political identity and to include it would recognise the autonomy of the state. A state that the US and UK, and other countries, do not recognise as member status. Such controversial matters are far beyond the remit of inciting discussion than a company like Codemasters can reasonably be expected to be able to account for. They've included non-country flags to c

  5. That's interesting, targa rallying means something completely different in the UK. It's what I compete in IRL; basically mini rallies that can be competed in using a standard road car with a free RS Clubman competition licence, although most competitors (including myself) fit at least a sump guard, rear cage, mud flaps etc. The stages are called 'tests' and take place on private land, usually the gravel and concrete roads of farmland or military sites, and speeds are supposed to be kept at an average of 30mph by way of hairpin, doughnut and stop-in-the-box type obstacles. 6. What the hell are you lot on about lol Btw, I hope that the survey I completed from Codies yesterday is an indication of DR3 containing some form of stage creation tool, like a more serious Playgrounds feature...

  7. As you write, they did almost nothing and now they have a lot more work and they are not getting along with creating new tracks, and the tracks in MotoGP I saw that they look good and are updated and here for many years nothing, and it is sad.

  8. That is the problem when only a single company has the licence of F1. I think they are doing a great job year after year, but for me tbh they need to step up with tracks, getting a database of tracks, if you know what i mean, like hockenheimring, they have the track avaliable if for some reason the track came back at the calendar, so they just need to import into the game. MotoGP already have the new Turn 10 on Spain, and Portimão, and tbh the tracks from MotoGP in my opinion are so much better then what we have at F1 games. When you are playing the game, you really feel that you a

  9. Just to put this into correct perspective, assuming that roughly 90 flags in the game is correct: There are 195 countries in the world today, 193 of them are member states of the united nations, whereas 2 countries are non-member states and have a status as "observers": the Holy See and the State of Palestine. I sincerely hope this answers the question one or the other way: either it is just one of about 100 flags which are not in the game, or it is a flag of 1 of 2 countries that are non-member states of the United Nations. If it does not answer the question, go listen to the song b

  10. Dont get your hopes up? Seriously? They're in charge of developing the official F1 game with an exclusive license to do so. There's no reason why these things shouldn't be completed in time some for this year and some for next to be honest. Afterall it's their job!!!! If they can't get it done, then F1 needs to find another option. It's ridiculous to think that having an accurate representation of next year's tracks in next year's game is unattainable at this point. Personally I think it's ridiculous that we dont have Spain and Melbourne updated this year. I can understand the new tra

  11. Yeah, i've come up with like a thousand reasons for why it is impractical. Literally everything but the physical dimensions would have changed. Things like background scenery, run-offs and tyre walls, etc. That's just from a graphical standpoint. Now the cars are completely different. Different speeds, different impacts and behaviour patterns. It's more likely that the cars try to drive over a kerb and fall into a massive void than for everything to work perfectly. You can't do just a do a rip and replace as everything would have changed that doesn't concern just the aesthetics.

  12. F1 2022 will also likely be the first project that Codemasters may have access to additional resources from EA, so I wouldn't rule anything out at this point. The purpose of threads like this is to signal to CM/EA that this is something the community greatly desires.

  14. Is there any downside for the player to having more tracks to choose from? I can't think of any. Therefore, yes. A thousand times yes. But also,...I don't think it's gonna happen until Turkey gets an official spot on the calendar at the start of the year. For F1 2022, the Codemasters track building team so far has the following tasks ahead of it, with more changes likely as we don't know next year's calendar yet: - Build brand new Miami circuit - All the updates to the Melbourne layout - New Spain T10 (possibility of F1 removing the chicane at the end has been discussed

  16. I figured it out. Needed to use the Beta version of Steam which adds Elite Controller drivers, and then in the Steam settings for the game ensure that Steam Inputs were disabled. Finally, in-game set the trigger vibration to On instead of Auto and it's there.

  17. If you do not have an opinion, why post here at all? There is no need to teach others about Codemasters abilities, or intentions, especially if you have no insight there at all, and if you are not part of the company. If we as a community do not manage to cry out for the circuits where F1 drives IRL, we do not raise our chance to get them integrated into the game.

  18. This may be helpful: https://portforward.com/f1-2020/ I suspect there is high potential that your internet security settings may be compromising your connectivity somewhere, especially if you are playing with players from different regions.

  19. Pretty much confirmed that F2 is the only feeder series. There's no F3 or W Series that have been announced for this year. I would expect F3 will come in a year or two. F3 is two/three rungs higher on the development ladder than W Series but I expect them to be introduced at the same time due to diversity. People have also asked for FE too but I think that's basically a whole different formula, even if governed by the same body.

  20. Just when debate on here about how easy/hard it is and how quickly/slowly tracks can be implemented in the game was dying down a little... they make another change. Talk about poking the bear and fanning the flames. It's fairly obvious that this won't be implemented in this years game. If Spain and Australia weren't (not sure about Baku's castle corner) then the one that has come even later than them, definitely won't be. Whether or not that's 'acceptable' as it is supposed to represent real-life is now irrelevant really as it is what it is. They won't be there and no amount of criticism

  22. Its not recognized as a state by the US or UK governments and most of Europe. So that probably has something to do with it. But I agree add the flag.

  25. I never said that, I said he posts a lot of political stuff. And most of the "conspiracies" of late have been true. His story is that he wants sim games to be better, and people don't like that. At some point he started noticing and making aware that one dude was a psycho who was baiting kids and beating his girlfriend. The psycho dude told EA (Since he worked for SMS, bought by Codies, bought by EA) that Austin bullied him by providing public court documents which led to a suicide attempt that he talked about years ago, the reason then stated because someone ordered a pepperoni and ham p
