  1. I an feed back on some of the issues mentioned: Incompetent AI in dry-wet, wet-dry races and any race tbh - Races offline seems good on 2021 and the AI behaviour is much improved. Online racing is driver subjective. PS2 era level of customization in My Team - Second year of the mode, however, we are working to continue to develop this Lack of preseason testing in career modes - We suspect a lack of interest in this mode, however, one for you to suggest in 2021 when launched. Only 10 year career- A tiny, tiny percentage of players have even got to year 8, yet alone 10.

  2. Just seems like the normal EA nonsense with really lacklustre lazy implementation. They've got the license to some of the biggest names in the history of F1 and you can only select them as a teammate. Will the AI be able to sign them? Make it an option perhaps? Maybe a mode where you have to beat these legends in challenges etc. Game lacks soul. Really disappointed about: Lack of TV graphics Lack of immersion in any mode (newsfeeds, rumor mills, emails, contextual commentary, F1 records etc) Incompetent AI in dry-wet, wet-dry races and any race tbh P

  3. Couldn't care less about the story mode...these modes are not sustainable and NBA, FIFA etc. etc. all walked the same route. Storymode for more or less 3 years and then it just dies out or turns into a normal career mode. What F1 games seriously need is better immersion. Currently a season in any of the modes are just a series of races. No newsfeeds, no rumor mills, no drama, no contextual commentary etc. There is literally no hype surrounding any aspect of a season. We need preseason testing, similarly to how the Motogp games have done it. You have to test different aspects of

  4. I agree with some of this , i thought the Ai was pretty good in 2020 in my opinion , best its ever been I think . I wouldnt be interested in pre season testing. , Customazation is poor on consoles , really poor. Re the 10 season career I think the only reason people dont go past year 7 or 8 is becasue its far too easy to keep your car developed at its MAX because the resource points just keep coming think and fast, I played with no track practice , and chose no events that gave me resource points and i was still able to earn a ton from the weekly resource thats given , its too easy!! Even with

  5. They do not, I believe. Probably best to get that completely confirmed before splashing out at the last minute on this game though! (although I don't think there's much time to use whatever you'd buy as there's less than two weeks left before the game is out) You get a certain amount by pre-ordering the different versions so I assume you'd not need to if they carried them over. Plus, I don't think the two games are linked unless you do that thing where you download it from within the previous game to get a small discount. Unless you really wanted something in this game, probably bes

  7. Stopping by just to post this. This is are very rare opportunity here in the US, let alone in my home town. Maybe the UK is just oozing of Group B cars that you see daily on the street, but I am quite excited The Macchina of Lancia have been selected as our 2021 Proiettore Macchina! - The Cortile (cortilepittsburgh.org) Usually I depend on the weather as the choice to attend the Vintage Grand Prix, however no weather will stop me this year.

  8. I have no idea what you're trying to say. I can see that you're trying really hard to come across as funny so, you know, props for that. I'm sure you'll get there eventually. I'll try and decipher the ramble into some sort of coherence. You are absolutely right to say that the addition of the 'Story' to the game is a valid addition to the game, I personally was'nt a fan of the idea - I am also not the biggest fan of the idea. It's not the direction i'd be hoping it would go personally, but F1 has always been an 'older generation' thing so I don't blame them for trying to bring y

  9. Beta sign up was heavily advertised on this forum, being an active member certainly helps, always signing current Ts&Cs. 7 posts in two years. Thread closed.

  10. Really depends on what you are planning to do. If all you want is move a circle around the track to show where the car is along the track, then the racing line generated from any lap should be sufficient in my opinion. There is actually an open source repository of maps that you can use for that (see https://github.com/f1laps/f1-track-vectors). If you want to be "pixel perfect" then you would need to do something similar to what @LonelyRacer suggested above and somehow extract the data from the game files, this might land you in difficult waters though relating to the licensing of that da

  11. For F1 games there is not other way, and same applies to most games. In the old F1 games you could take some of the data from the track definition files, but not anymore. If one could "knife open" the resource files, one might be able to construct the track maps that way, but I don't know it if is worth the effort. So yes, doing a proper track map with boundaries, outer and inner limit, centerline + racingline + pitlane takes on normal track about 12 laps of slow driving, so you can look at about 30 minutes per track. And then you have games, like PC2, where there are 150+ tracks, so it

  12. I'm very unsure if track limits should be included in the safety rating, though of course should still be punished in race. Generally, given the way track limits are handled in game, I don't think it connects with 'safe' racing.

  14. Here's something you all might like 🙂 The fine folks over at Stick 2 F1 (a new podcast) asked me to come on to talk about my F1 2020 tutorials and getting better at racing games, and we also had Lee Mather on to chat about F1 2021 🙂 Was fun to hang out with these guys last night so feel free to stick this on if you've got a spare hour today 🙂

  15. I've been continuing to capture every PC rally game I can find (176 so far, will be 177 soon): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYDobL0b26ugFuXASCIC9qmFb9_k4_fqU Here's my art of rally clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJGaLSpXAOI, but personally I found Star Drift Evolution to be more predictable in the handling department: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuVsSfIK1cY I've been adding a lot of random/rare stuff recently, such as an unreleased Japanese game no one's ever seen before (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAfYT2nK0Pc, and a game where your rally car has to shoot dow

  18. I would prefer to have historic tracks and well-made tracks that have been in the game for many years, than a story, which I personally do not need for anything in F1, it was not there for many years and no one complained, and now suddenly they come up with something (the question is whether it will be interesting and worth attention). I have been playing F1 since 2010 and since 2017 I pay more attention to curbs etc. And nothing has changed over the years, and it's probably about time and then you can do the plot and other things. This is my private opinion, everyone has their own probab

  19. Totally agree with this. I must admit I usually selected classic cars if creating an online lobby or having a quick ten lap race. But I’d rather they offer historical DLC instead going forward, maybe do a “Magic Moments in F1” DLC where you take part in various scenarios. It’s wishful thinking I know, but the point is I’d rather something new with F1 2021 as well. This new story mode looks quite entertaining...

  21. That's ridiculous IMO. It's two tracks, one turn at each. There's no excuse good enough for it not being done before release IMO. I understand all the things going on in the world etc, but these two changes were announced long ago for each track. There's been plenty of time to make those two adjustments. I can undersatnd Imola, Portimao and Jeddah being later than the others; that's a massive undertaking, but two adjustments to a turn at two tracks that;s been known for a long time... come on.
