  1. I would like to propose to add new race distances of 35% and 75% or other distances. The game modes in which these distances are proposed should be everywhere The benefit of the suggestion by adding these distances, players will be able to test themselves on distances other than those currently in the game (3/5 laps 25% 50% and 100%). This is missing in the latest editions of the game starting with F1 2012. F1 2010 and F1 2011 distances like the ones I suggested were very cool.   2. Here is the latest specification for the UDP telemetry system for F1 2021. Please note that we've opted for posting a document with this info rather than adding this into the forum as this is easier to work with.   5. I've been working with telemetry data that the game sends for about 3 years now and love seeing what everyone is building and how it provides so much additional value for players. I started with a little DIY project with F1 2018 (if you want to read about it, you can find it here) all the way to the 2021 beta and to building a platform that now has over 1k users with over 50,000 laps submitted to the website for everyone to compare themselves to and learn from other drivers through telemetry data.   8. I propose the creation of a full qualification mode, with Q1, Q2 and Q3 reduced by approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of the time. Thus, the first session would have 10 minutes, the second 8 minutes and the third 6 minutes. There may be a change in these times or even a customization by the host. Qualifying in Q1, Q2 and Q3 is much more realistic than the single shot or the short mode, however, as it is not possible to customize it, it is very time-consuming and little used. It is difficult for players to face 1 hour of qualifying and 1 hour of racing. The short 18-minute session does not reflect

  15. Wow that was a wild ride to read... I guess I'm back after another year. Got DR 2.0 in Humble Bundle, didn't had much time to rally and did some upgrades to PC in the meantime... now I'm obviously hungry for more cause 2x23" and center 24" isn't enough 😄 Anyway... if it was posted already sorry, skipped some pages of some rumbling! Just wanted to say we as spectators shouldn't be worried about the weight, just look at those jumps of rally1 spec car: Hope you lot are all fine 🙂

  17. As promised here is the output of copying and pasting the udp-specification into my parsing library. This is just the python code for the udp specification packet structs but I hope that it helps others get started quickly on writing the UDP handler and what to do with the packets once they are received.   19. After several embarrassing outings, I decided to try something different, using not the stock setup as usual but one of rallytechnicals. Success was quite limited, as I rolled the car in the first corner, something I can't remember having done before on this stage. A short time later, I left the road to greet some of my tree friends, the rest of the stage wasn't too bad, in fact going as fast as the leader. Hmmm... The second stage was a disaster, in the third I retired. I'll give it another try. Next season please...

  21. Thanks for publishing the spec, I was eagerly waiting for it! As a side note, would you be open to use a more developer friendly format than docx? A plain text file would probably be better imo as I could open it in an IDE. Even wilder idea: publish the .h files on github!

Please add a real cockpit cam, which should be a realistic one when u drive in a rig .The actual cockpit cam is more a helmet cam 🙂 The actual cockpit cam is fine and should stay ingame as helmet cam 🙂 This one added would be a cockpit cam. And for all of this please use normal values for FOV and everything. The FOV is so different from every other real simulation. And a lot more ability to move the cam. Acutally it's very limited with the sliders. You should be able to define all that settings by yourself and your setup, not only with the few values that are there. That would be gr

  31. I think a possible DiRT Rally 3 can be compared to a Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order approach. Jedi Fallen Order has been published by EA, but developed by Respawn with Unreal 4 as engine. I not think DR will go to an other engine near soon, but that we will need to wait for to be sure. Its actually not even sure there will be a DR3, or that we need to wait till the 2023 for the possible WRC game, or WRC license in DR3. Still hope for a similar DR2.0 timeline for DR3.   34. I dont see how an editor can be that difficult to implement. Nearly every other sports game has one in game so theres no reason F1 shouldnt. No reason for it to be a PC exclusive thing. In recent weeks I've gone out my way of fixing the problem for season 2 by hiring Bottas while I'm still a midfield team.

  35. I think it is quite obvious that the Mercedes drivers have been swapped or mixed up or whatever you want to call it. I dont think Hamilton need much of a buff, but Bottas (or his car, or their hidden stats) need a big time nerf, and it has been this way since a year now. Maybe, if Codemasters are not willing to fix this themselves, they could provide us with a small insight how we might be able to fix that ourselves, fiddling with some *.exe file or hidden stats in the game? For future games, if they do not want to provide an editor, why not make this moddable by writing the driver / engi

  36. I would be massively surprised by that - DR3 will have been planned well before the EA takeover. It may be factored in as an option for the WRC stuff, but decisions for any potential DR11 game coming out next year will surely have been taken before that. I can see Madness engine being a future option (AMS2 is doing great things with that) but I can see upgraded versions of the current Codies' one too.

  38. I’ve seen it stated that there will be crossgen play (ps5 can play PS4) but there won’t be cross platform where PlayStation can play Xbox. I can find the article if you need definitive proof but that should answer your question.

  39. I have found another solution on Facebook without the hidden factor. This seems quiet easy but it makes sense. In this theory the pace factor is more important for the overall value than the others. But look at yourself.

  48. Yeah I would agree it's a terrible decision. If you want free choice of what F1 team to start then make that possible with the straight to F1 option. Or if you still want a player who has chosen to do F2 but been rubbish to have free choice just have a toggle where you can enable or disable team offers based on F2 performance. The line about your F2 performance will affect how you are viewed in F1 seems completely incorrect. I played the F2 races believing it would at least affect the starting team offers, possibly even my contract and starting perks. I've also reporte

  49. But it says "How you perform will affect how you are viewed in F1" on all three F2 options. I'm sure you can appreciate that choosing an academy isn't "performing". There is no other way you can take this other than "F1 teams will view you in different ways depending on your results". And why were those practice programs even in there? That is, again, giving the false impression of "better performance, better career prospects".
