  3. Yeah the only thing I feel is missing is the road feel, especially on tarmac. The roads feel extremely smooth. I'm sure the dev team have loads of feedback (ha) to work on for the future, it was discussed a lot 🙂

  5. You don't understand because you don't work in game development. Different game engines for F1 games and Project CARS, you can't just port assets between them by pressing a button and saying a magic word. F1 2011 is a 10 year old game and the Istanbul track in it is very inaccurate, fixing it and porting it to F1 2021 would take more time than starting from scratch. And it's not about just building the tracks, they also need to do the necessary programming, including making sure the AI knows how to drive the track on all difficulty levels (1-110), in all conditions and situation

  10. I hope its not intentional as then wheel users are at a disadvantage as you can control it on the throttle of the controller, yet on the wheel pedals its an uncontrollable linear constant

  11. So @BarryBL and @steviejay69, Is the issue mentioned in this thread a bug or is it intentional?

Also, I don't understand why there are raindrops just sitting on the cars body... like its not moving. It makes sense if those raindrops did that at the start of the race.. but, while racing? 17. Its just sad, no wonder they back tracked on releasing the separate esports build. What about the customers who have paid for this? It's such fraudulent behaviour. 1.10 better be good. To any developer that is reading this you should be ashamed of yourselves. Find another job.

  18. I just want to reiterate that I'm not just here to **** all over the game, I like many others are passionate about this game and want nothing else for this game to be good and just succeed as a racing game for everyone to enjoy, competitively or not. But we need to take a stand about it coming out in such a bad state. All we want is to see the game do well and be fun to drive and watch, and we all need to push to see that change be made

  25. Im mostly with you but what did we get? Braking point which is barely fun or challenging in the first playthrough and has no replayability, delayed additional tracks - which is understandable but also kinda needed for the official title, AI improvements and major bugs (High speed) so equally good and bad and then last a graphical update which is nice.. What we lost? Classic cars and Short tracks which supposedly only made up 5% of the playtime but still gives more replayability.. So in the end its ok considering Covid, Homeoffice etc. but its not an amazing release. Of course lots of peop

  27. Tired of these popular “hmm yummy yummy right right left left top speed me lov it” setups, I did some testing. Wanted to know the influence of camber and toe settings on straight line speed. Just that. Results, not that great of a difference: For the setup columns, greens are minimal values and yellows are maximum values. Just to help on the visualization. In line with what I did for wing angle settings and drag here, I proceeded as follows: Time Trial on Monza, doing standing starts from the DRS line (count of 0m, green bar 100% filled) to make use of that lovely

  28. Description I received floor damage (front and sides) during a race. The MFD showed there was damage, and the car behaved as if there was damage (the car suddenly had more drag and less downforce), but when watching a saved replay or Instant Replay, the car floor looked perfectly intact. Screenshots and DXDiag have been provided. Platform PC, version 1.05 Gamemode Driver Career How do you make the problem happen? Please add a step-by-step guide here so we can replicate and get reported as quick as possible. 1. Drive in a race 2. Incur floor damag

  30. Actually for the time Istanbul Park was much more accurate than other tracks and current tracks haha And while i agree that just converting tracks easy peasy is just not how it works they did convert all their tracks from 2014 into 2015 engine.. Absolutely didnt make them all from scratch but idk how they did it nor do i wanna suggest they could have easily done it with Turkey.. Just something im thinking about

  31. Hi there! I'm a passionate sim-racer in South Korea and I always find out that it's such a shame F1 games don't support the Korean language. In case you didn't know, there are lots of sim-racing enthusiasts here in Korea, but many of them has trouble playing F1 games because it doesn't support Korean. I once made a guidebook with translation for F1 2020 trying to help those who are not familiar with English, and it helped thousands of people getting started this game. Adding Korean would be a great update to the franchise... And maybe just maybe... I can help you with it.

  32. My intention was for this thread to be about all multiplayer options, I just happen to have tried the beginner friendly one. My suspicion is that the Experienced Social Play and Ranked options perform similarly but I was curious to see (and obviously make sure this was on Codemasters' radar). Actually I've just tried to get into an Experienced Social Play lobby. Two attempts both gave an error saying the session no longer exists 🙄. It may be that browsing for races is the only viable option but obviously much more is intended!

  33. I find it very hard to understand why, these 3 tracks are not already operational within the game. turkey should already have the data, last presence F1 2011. Imola with the acquisition of project cars SmS should not be a problem to have it. portimao and jeddah maybe with the laser scan (which I doubt they are able to use in codies) it should not be difficult to acquire them. all this delay or lack why?

  38. Quick thought: I wonder if the major regulation changes for next season mean that there is less of a concern about information transfer between rival teams than there might normally be? As a fan I'm pleased to see that there is freedom for drivers to move like this. I'm also very glad that everything is now publically confirmed rather than the 'everybody knows but can't say' farce we've had recently.

  39. F1 official channel uploaded this side by side of two Sainz’s 2020 laps in Monza. Two things I find pertinent to point out. The telemetry has grey data for the Good Lap on the left and red data for the Great Lap on the right. That's a throttle map and braking data plotted below. Here Sainz is dealing with T4 and T5 chicane. Two things of note: (1) how he modulates his throttle, lifting just slightly when putting his wheels on the right kerb, and (2) how he avoids the tall orange kerbing behind the regular one altogether. The ones in the know will probably remember a certain vi

  40. I'm not sure of the point here? Are we trying to justify the mess that driver transfers are in the game because of some of these moves? These moves have logic to them; the game's quite simply do not. It simply makes the decision based on the games team and driver acclaim system. Theres a thread around here that illustrates that as a workaround for the messy transfer system. There's no variability to it either it seems it's simply slotting the drivers with the highest acclaim, to the team acclaims. Anyways, on to the real moves in the real world... Russel is more than deserving of a s

  45. Was like this last year. Best one is when you are leading a race the guy behind will just keep ramming you and you get a 5sec penalty each time so you can get 25secs worth of penalties. They can even pit to repair any front wing damage and still beat you after that
