  1. Dude that’s really unfair Barry isn’t responsible for the game being broken or what the developers bother fixing. He passes all peoples game issues on if he can either find further evidence off someone’s bug report or he knows it’s something the developers will bother looking at. He probably has orders from the devs on what type off bugs to ignore. I don’t like he has to also be the target off abuse when his hands are tied by those above him.

  2. Hate to say it, but F1 2021 is my least favourite F1 game in years. I don’t know if it’s Covid that really hampered what they intended to do with the game, or the decision to delay the new regulations in the real F1 that put their development plans up in the air, …but despite the solid progression in terms of features and content that grew year on year since F1 2016, F1 2021 just feels strangely stagnant. I know it’s missing the classic cars from the earlier games, but it’s not just that that puts me off. The Braking Point story mode for me just feels jarring with the pre rendered cut

  3. Every year I find it odd that there is no proper in game assistance when it comes to understanding how to set your car up for specific tracks and conditions. Etc as in a helpful race engineer (Jeff is next to useless). And my conclusion is no one directly involved in the games development has a scooby doo. You only have to read the extremely vague descriptions for things like camber settings to know whoever wrote had no idea and gave up before his head exploded. And whoever signed off on it had no clue either and thought yeah yeah that sounds really vague and confusing so it must be righ

  4. No worries @ScaredDuck, was surprised to see your name on this one. Allowed to vent your opinion, but please refrain from swearing. Haven't offended me, just have to make sure the space is safe for everyone 👍

  5. We have progress on this, apologies for some of the delay here. We have some changes coming in the next patch regarding this subject. No ETA at this time.

  6. When are we getting the next Update? And is the AI Update gonna be included? At this point I don't care if you bring the AI from 2020 over and be done with it. AI doesn't even move for blue flags and they don't even yield for you on track. 7 months later and we are still waiting for updates that should've been included with the game

  7. Hello! There's a massively annoying issue with F1 2019 (still present, after countless feedback from older titles) for the players with a PAD, the faster you are the less you can turn the steering wheel in the game, pretty much forbidding you to correct mid-turn unlike in any other serious racing sim. To exemplify: if you're driving at 100kph with full right stick you can turn the in-game wheel about 90° (arbitrary numbers); meanwhile, at 200kph with the same full right stick you can only turn the in-game wheel 60°. There are no sensitivity and speed sensitivity sliders in the contro

  9. Notice my previous post on this thread did you? Hmm I hope your you riddled with guilt after what you did to me. I’m on the receiving end off that saying “no good deed goes unpunished” 😛😛😛😛😛 Just cause I feel I need to add context. I found the timing off it funny.

  11. Hi. I'm new to the forum, just to give some suggestions for what I would also want in F1 2022 as I've skipped 2021 altogether. This is exactly what I came to say. Since in real life, teams also have to choose the engine mapping they wish to run and have to compromised between high power, high fuel consumption and low durability and low power, low fuel consumption and higher durability. I believe a simple 5 option like you've stated is more than sufficient as options. I agree. On 2020, I find it either too easy to drain the battery or too hard to use up the battery as we pile on

  12. As I only got crackled sound on my ps5 speaker. From race engineer that links it to radio virtuosity. So may be worth seeing if turning it off has any effect Also if it’s possible you could try connecting pc through a compatible tv

  13. @BarryBL just want to mention I get this through ps5 controller speaker. Happens almost every race. So I have Disabled pad speaker and change setting in audio options so now Jeff comes through tv: and no issues since

  14. If it's a pig to slow down, this might help a bit as braking has improved for me with the increased grip & downforce. As for the ICE R&D upgrade, I haven't got a clue. I know where the values are in the files but I'm yet to figure what they related to.

  15. Very interesting that you had almost the same expierences. My buddy seem to have less mistakes while driving on standard. But it is nowhere descriped officially that there are some aids active, right? I have the feeling that there are not extra assists turned on, but maybe all paramaters seems to be less sensitive, so turning too hard, or accelerating too much where normally you could spin because of lost grip now get balanced out by the game.

  16. Don't drink and forum, I'll add it to the rules 😛 Everyone (of legal age in their appropriate country) knows that messaging drunk isn't the greatest idea in the world. Can vouch for that one personally, happens to the best of us 🙂

  18. Apologies for this. I have some examples of this that I'm taking to the developers. Anyone got any extra screenshots at all that i can also pass on. Looks to be different platforms too. UPDATE: Topics merged, thanks for the bug report @Sir_Overtakesalot. With devs now.

  19. Just to follow up, I've uploaded the mod here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/realistic-downforce-grip-mod.47826/ I called it "Realistic", perhaps I should've called it "improved"? Anyway, there it is if anyone's interested. Edit: I put it in here as I'd previously mentioned it, I'm not sure what the rules are on having a thread specifically promoting a mod. I'm still not sure if modding is frowned upon here or not.

  20. I agree with you totally. My comment was more out of 'I've tried my best to help but still problems persit. I've reported numerous bugs. I spent £120 quid on two copies for me and my brother. Okay that's annoying about pc, I was kinda thinking that maybe, maybe someone had a mod fix that sorted the issue or something, probably more hope than anything. I think it's a joke it hasn't been fixed in the time since we've reported it. They can release the next podium pass with silly liveries and gloves but not fix a vital issue with the game. Only reason I got it was to spend time with my sibling I b

  21. Yeah, personally i found it boring after the first chapter and spent the rest of my time getting errors in online play and getting rammed when it worked. Also had some fun playing homemade demolition derby in grand prix mode.

  22. That's correct. They used to be able to but the rules changed about 15-20 years ago I think. Same as real-world F1, once you leave the garage after qualifying, your setup is locked except for a few things like front wing, tyre pressures, brake balance etc. The team has to use weather prediction and make a compromise between qualifying and race conditions. All part of the challenge! 😁 Dry quali & Wet race? Make a compromise with the setup between getting a high quali position and manageable wet driving. Wet quali and dry race? Run a dry setup and just try your absolute best in q

  23. Sorry to derail your thread, by the way. Going back on-topic, I like the system with MotoGP and Project Cars 2 where you could tell your engineer what the issue was in simple terms and the game would adjust the car accordingly, pretty much like real life. You had multiple options to describe your problem and the engineer would say "Ok, I'm going to soften the springs, adjust the brake balance and add some rear wing" or whatever. So you could learn what settings helped what issue and you still had the ability to override it all and do it yourself in an advanced menu.

  24. The game isn't just for people that like games that work , its for people who like complaining and wasting their time on forums talking to virtual brick walls . If you want a game that works there are other titles that are available

  25. Hi Codemasters, hi @BarryBL, I would like to share what the 2022 pitstops will presumably be like accordingly to Mario Isola from Pirelli: https://www.racefans.net/2022/01/01/racefans-round-up-01-01-4/ Most of the races will be a one-stop strategy, this would suggest a rework in the game too, I'm sure there will be many other things to do to simulate the car's behaviour in 2022, but this would be quite important as well IMHO. Both wear and loss of grip could be recalculated to ensure that the 1 pit stop strategy will be the most convenient in most cases (clearly I am referring to 1

  26. @Ultra3142 I meant to ask if it would be possible to do it via an update, not from the game's menu. They have already removed and then reinstated features that weren't working correctly in this game.

  27. No. There are no options to change graphical settings like this on consoles. Well, not on PS5 and so I very much doubt on others.

  28. I mean it's getting ridiculous at this point and obviously has absolutely nothing to do with EA taking over codies... I haven't bought an F1 game since F1 2016 and i'm just getting exasperated of this -show.

  31. This is a reply to morrisey's post. Your right the coop mode is a great idea this is the only real reason i bought the game but to say oh well you tried and failed doesn't really help when you've paid £60 for a game. This bug never happened at the start of the first coop mode it was applied after a patch not sure which one but to have any racing game with ghost cars than cannot be turned off or on is a total joke for over a decade codemasters have been churning f1 games out and still the bugs and the ability not to fix them has now become more of a running joke than anything else. 32. It's outrageous that this problem is still there. It should be a simple fix of implementing a slider / option for collision and be done with it.

  33. The problem has been known since more than 3 updates and yet codemasters has still not fixed ... One wonders if they are able to do it sometimes. 😐😐

  34. Same issue here. In ps5 2 player coop mode. When the cars spins or gets touched it will go ghost immediately. This is really annoying also because safety car wil not deploy. We had a crash with 3 cars, all 3 in the middle of a corner with increased safety car deployment. And all 3 became ghosted and everyone drove through us. No safety car deployed. This happening to the player and to the AI. Please make it optional or take it away this is so annoying.

  35. Sorry for the confusion. I'm playing F1 2019 on the Xbox with a controller/pad. I agree that its a feature, but all it achieves is limiting you. Please try Assetto Corsa if you have it, you'll see the difference right away as this effect/"feature" is, by default, a lot less pronounced there. Most racing sims have something called "speed sensitivity", it's pretty much a controller sensitivity setting - sensitivity being the control setting that allows the in-game wheel to turn more/less with full left/right stick movement. What this "speed sensitivity" does is lowering/increasing t
