Hello all, I’m still alive by the way. I heard something about a Peugeot maxi and a 206 WRC and Finland and I seem to have had some sort of trouser accident. Can’t wait

    a) I really enjoy the game b) I'll really enjoy Finland and Greece c) See a) and b) Sorry mate, I'm buying the rally content whether you like it or not - apparently there's a fix for the audio bug (which I've never experienced personally) coming soon BTW.

We're slowly getting close to that beautiful lineup 😄 The first 4 cars of that lineup are already present (Lancer Evo VI instead of the VII). I'd only ask for the Xsara, anything else is a bonus for me 😄 Can't wait to see a picture of the 206 with DR2's graphics. And yes, I was also expecting a new rally location instead of the RX track in S3. I was actually expecting Corsica to make an appearance, more than Portugal or San Remo, and for that I'm disappointed. I think once again the RX content is overkilling it, but whatever. It was somewhat expected. But I'm really happy to see the 206 finally coming back home after a long time away. Plus it's always nice to see Greece and Finland making a return. We'll have 12 rallies by the end of season 3, which is what we all requested back in DR1. So in that term, I think we're set! I will however welcome and pay for any other rally content that may come after season 4, if there's any. Say Portugal, Corsica, San Remo, Kenya, or extra stages for current rallies. The same applies to the cars like the Xsara, Impreza 1997-1999 and any others from that spectre. Like many others, I'll also pass on Season 4, as RX doesn't interest me at all. You can be sure Season 3 is a buy though. There are cars that were hinted with sound recordings for DR2.0 (Impreza 97 and Legacy) that still have not been announced, which leads me to think Season 5 is a possibility and will be the final season. PS: Please let us mod the liveries for these 2000s cars! It's as much important as bringing the cars themselves.

@PJTierney I play rally games since Colin mcrae rally 2.0 and since their I followed codemasters until now 🙂 My favourite car on those first games was the Peugeot 206 and now its coming 😄 Please, tell the team a really big thank you, for making this historic car coming back plus giving us more two seasons. Defenitly the biggest and the better game of all years from codemasters Ps: we never know, could be the GOTY 🤞

I think it's made more frustrating by the fact that other games get around it yeah, even copying the basic colour scheme without the alcohol or tobacco sponsorships, like this for example: The Porsche SC RS was step in the right direction but then you've got cars like the 2007 Focus where the liveries are frankly abysmal...

Nah, I'm buying it tomorrow or whenever they'll let me.

This is going to sound so selfish, but we will be out of the office at that date celebrating the end of 2019/start of 2020.

I believe it's the 1999 (the one on the left).

Analogue handbrake support is something I added to the internal wishlist recently. That doesn't guarantee that something will happen but at least the people that monitor the community feedback area(s) can see it 🙂

Touché, that is hilarious 😂😂 I Honestly lost hope that we wouldn’t get anything other than dr1 content... it has to have a proper livery though 😜 just kidding... i’ll get my knife and fork...

This is nothing against Rallycross or anyone liking it, but I only plan to buy s3 no matter if it makes sense financially. I only want to send a message that my purpose for purchasing a Rally title is for Stage Rally, not a 50/50 Rally/Rx title. Again, its not that I hate the idea, but if I can make a small point to the bean counters that I personally prefer more stages and locations than RX, this is the only way I can.

So given how much you like to recycle content, I assume I'll get a refund from getting the Deluxe Edition and most of this content will be free for owners of the original Dirt Rally.

We have the livery, we just don't have screenshots approved by everyone yet. Once we have the all-clear they'll be shared.

Women are so poorly represented in this game, and than even they can't flush the toilets at DirtFish because the water has been turned off... So I hope as a compensation they will put Magda Andersson's 208 livery in the game 🙂 (and on the correct model if possible: DiRT 4 Hansen 208 😛 ) @tbtstt I hope you not mind i used your image for this 😄

These are complicated questions and if I try and guess I’m sure Licensing will start yelling at me 😅

This!! I’ve said a lot in recent posts that it feels games are going backwards. I think F1’97 on the PS1 had telemetry. More inter team help would be cool too. Being able to see what set up they use (if they are not using just defaul) as well would help for sure. As would having a set up engineer to help you. Eg you come in and can say from pre defined options that either ’ ‘struggle to get the power down on corner exit’ ‘unbalanced under cornering’ or things like this and they can recommend set up changes. Think MotoGP has this, or protect cars. I think I have a little more than a base understanding but nowhere near enough to properly fine tune set ups.

Hi, Over the last day or so, I've been trying to figure out why the game is seemingly lagging when looking around in VR. My framerate is fine; steamvr is set to run at 90hz, and the game is holding a solid 90fps on medium to high settings. CPU usage is around 50 to 60%. As soon as the view changes from 2d in the cut scenes, to vr, I look around and the lag makes me feel quite ill. It's as if you look left or look right, and the screen movement is slightly behind or at times, the screen moves with you. This problem exists regardless of graphics settings, from ultra low to high. The problem is also noticeable when you pause the game. If you look at the menu and turn your head left and right, the menu partially moves with you to a degree. At first I thought the fov settings were wrong, but there's no way of changing it in VR that I could find. The option for fov does exist within the 2d mode, but changing it in that mode has no baring on the vr mode. While I'm at it, the view reset doesn't seem to work properly neither, it always sets me in a position that is too far away from the steering wheel... leading me to think that there is indeed problems with the fov. Whether this is the reason for the laggy feeling I get when looking around, I don't know. My pc specs are below. Thanks for your time. Platform: Steam VR/Open VR HMD: Valve Index PC: RTX 2080ti, i7 6700, 32gb RAM Deluxe User Connected: Accuforce Steering Wheel, Heusinkveld Pedals, Handbrake and Shifter

I suspect that Martini have upped the 'ownership' of their brand since SLRE came out. If you try using their trademarks (colours & patterns) without permission in this day and age, no doubt some lawyers will be coming your way. --- I think a lot of this "how do liveries work" discussion is very black & white. Some random thoughts: - Porsche may have a deal with Philip Morris that allow them to redistribute/licence the Rothmans colours. - Gulf Oil, for example, have specifically trademarked 'racing colours' to prevent them being used without permission (the 'powder blue' that's famous isn't the corporate colour) - no doubt other companies have done the same. - I imagine that when some series have agreements akin to F1's Concord Agreement, any sponsors presenting in that series are obliged to sign rights to the series. I don't know, but it's possible that cars entered as official manufacturer entries in WRX fall under something like this. - I would guess that's ultra complicated when pulling all those together for fictional liveries, such as in Codemasters' case or like Project Cars do. - Probably each game company's lawyers give different advice as to what they can and can't do too. Reiza got 'asked' by F1's lawyers to change their 'fictional' designs to make them appear less real. --- Basically, I'm pretty sure it's not black and white, but a whole lot of shades of grey when it comes to licencing this stuff.
