  1. Hi all, Glad to see so many of you are enjoying playing DiRT 3 again, there have been a few users which have experienced issues though and we’ve been working hard all day to get those fixed. Game Won’t Start Bug Turns out that this was an issue with an audio driver called OpenAL not installing correctly. We’ve just set a small patch live to fix this issue. Thank you to everybody who helped us get to the bottom of the problem. I Can’t Redeem My GFWL Key A small number of players who purchased GFWL CD Keys from resellers such as Direct2Drive and Get Games haven’t been able to redeem their keys. We’ve got to the bottom of this issue now and are working with Valve to get it fixed as quickly as we can. Big thank you to Valve and to you all for again helping us get to the bottom of the issue. I will post an update on the Steam Community Hub as soon as that fix is in place.  UPDATE: Those with keys purchased digitally from vendors such as Direct2Drive/Gamefly, get games etc should now be able to redeem their keys.  Players who purchased their game from the Games For Windows Live Marketplace have also reported issues, we’re working to get this fixed however I won’t have any more information on when these keys will become operational until next week. My Wheel Full Locks to the Right. A few users with Logitech wheels are reporting that their wheel goes into full lock when they start the game. We’re still looking into the issue but we need to make sure everybody is using the most up-to date drivers. Please download the latest drivers from here and let us know if you are still having the issue by following the instructions  UPDATE: Thanks for the help with this so far, its become clear it's not just users with logitech wheels now - we are sorry about the problem and will get it looked at. It would be really helpful if we could get as much info about your systems/setups as possible, if you could please provide the info requested here in as much detail as possible it will help us get to the bottom of it. Thanks a lot for your support and kind words over the last 24 hours; it’s been brilliant reading all your comments, reviews and checking out your screenshots in the community hub. If you do happen to have any other problems with the game please take a read of the instructions for reporting a bug here  I’ll be back as soon as I can with more info. - justbiglee

    DiRT Rally (2015) FAQ

What is DiRT Rally? DiRT Rally is the latest game in the DiRT series and we’re releasing it first in Early Access for PC and asking for help from our fans to develop it over time. What is Early Access? This is how Steam define what early access is “Get immediate access to games that are being developed with the community’s involvement. These are games that evolve as you play them, as you give feedback, and as the developers update and add content. We like to think of games and game development as services that grow and evolve with the involvement of customers and the community. There have been a number of prominent titles that have embraced this model of development recently and found a lot of value in the process. We like to support and encourage developers who want to ship early, involve customers, and build lasting relationships that help everyone make better games. This is the way games should be made” And that is exactly how we feel about it too; we want you to feel like part of the development team and help us build a better game. When will it be available? DiRT Rally is available now for PC via Steam. Surprise! What do I get for my money? At release DiRT Rally will include a total of 36 rally stages spread across Monte Carlo, Greece and Wales. We have a total of 17 cars, from 1960s classics right through to modern day machines. As time goes on we’ll be adding more cars, more environments, we’ll be climbing Pikes Peak and going door-to-door around a selection of the best circuits from the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship. We’ll also be adding features based on your feedback so be sure to let us know what you’d like to see included in future updates. OK so how much does that extra stuff cost me? Not a penny, regardless of when you join us for Early Access you’ll have access to all of our updates and all of the content we add during our Early Access period at no extra charge. When is DiRT Rally coming to console? For now, we’re focussed on Early Access. It’s really important to us that we make DiRT Rally the best game it can be and we can only do that with your help. Steam Early Access is the perfect place for us to do that. We believe that DiRT Rally is the game many of our fans want and right now, our plan is to develop DIRT Rally with community feedback and get that experience absolutely right. Once we have done that, if there is sufficient demand for the DIRT Rally experience on consoles, then of course we’ll consider that. OK so how can I help? There are loads of ways you can help; buying the game reinforces our belief that we’re making the game you all want, playing the game enables us to collect loads of useful data about the kinds of ways you play it. If you find a bug or something that’s not quite right we need you to give us as much information about it as you can and if you have an idea about how we can make DiRT Rally even better, we want to hear it. Tell your friends about DiRT Rally, question our decisions and send us your screenshots and videos. We don’t want you to feel like part of a community, we want you to feel like part of the team. How can I submit a bug? Ideas are welcome everywhere but when it comes to reporting bugs we have a form that will help us get the information we need to fix it as quickly as possible. You’ll find all the info you need in the bug reporting section of the Steam and Codemasters Forums. What are the system requirements for DiRT Rally? How can I keep up to date with the latest news? However you feel most comfortable, we’ve tried to make DiRT Rally as easy to follow as possible. Our new shiny website dirtgame.com should be your first port of call; here we have blogs from the dev team, videos and our development timeline. You’ll also be able to check your stats and leaderboard standings, join or host a league, view your progress in our Online events and even launch the game right from your browser! We also plan on hosting regular livestreams. These are a great chance for you to put a face to the name, ask us questions, get a sneak peek at what is coming in future packs and maybe even win some swag. Follow our Twitch.TV channel to get notifications when we go live. The Steam Community hub and Codemasters Forums are a great place to meet other DiRT fans and talk to the development team. We’ve set up our very own DiRT subreddit which we’re hoping you’ll subscribe to and of course you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+. As with all things DiRT Rally related where we go from here is up to you, even this FAQ will change based on your feedback. It’s going to be an exciting few months for us. Welcome to the team.

    DiRT Rally Championship 2015

I figured its about a year since the DiRT Rally Championship League thing we ran and I wondered who would be up for it again this year? Maybe start it at the end of this month/early next and run for a few weeks like before? We should start with a Monte Carlo Rally now most people have access to it I think. Anybody interested, I might make a few changes to the rules this year too.

    DiRT Rally - Out Now

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiU_1iud-VY Let’s talk DiRT. First I want to say thank you, all you guys and girls have been awesome these last few years. You’ve been telling us what you want for what seems like forever, over on the forum there is a next DiRT game wishlist that actually predates the release of DiRT 3. There have been comment threads on gaming websites telling us were we went wrong and hundreds of posts each day on Twitter and Facebook telling us exactly what you want. That’s how awesome you guys are, you’ve been our inspiration and got us through some tough times. So thank you. Today starts a new chapter in DiRT history; today we’re doing something that scares the absolute crap out of us, but in a good way. Today we’re not only announcing a new DiRT game but we’re making it available as an early access title on Steam... SURPRISE! If you literally can’t wait any longer to get your hands on it then you’ll find it right here, but while it’s downloading I want you to come back and read about why we’re doing this and more importantly how you can help. Welcome back, so why Early Access? There are a number of reasons but mainly because we want to make sure we get this right. You’ve been asking us for a game that is pure rally with none of the fluff, one that has more stages, longer stages and repairs in between stages. You’ve told us how you want your own team, to be able to set the car up how you want and to feel like you own the car you’re driving. We want to deliver that game. So, right now at the start of Early Access this is what you are getting for your money. 17 Cars - Having hundreds of cars doesn’t interest us, rally is about having the right car and we intend on having all of the right cars. These 17 are just to get us started and we’ll be adding more cars over more classes as the year goes on. 36 Stages – Winding paths through forests, death defying drops off hillsides and narrow mountain paths are what this is all about, it’s you and your car VS the road ahead. To get us started we’ll be heading to the muddy paths  of Wales, the dusty trails of Greece and the icy tarmac of the legendary Monte Carlo rally. A-Synchronous Events – Take on the world in Daily, Weekly and Monthly challenges. These are the ultimate tests of skill and determination and it’s going to take everything you have to finish on top. Simulation handling – We’ve accurately recreated how every part of the car works and to support this we’ve developed a brand new physics model which simulates everything from the way the surface of the road behaves to limited slip differentials. This is how cars drive and with real-world rallying experience on the team, a deep understanding of car setup and handling, countless visits from the worlds of rally and rallycross plus the help of our friends in the community we've got the handling as right as we can. Team Management – Hire and fire your crew members each of whom which will have different skills, improving repair times for different parts of the car. Teach them new skills as they gain experience and work together as a team to improve your performance in events. League Support – Get together with friends and run your very own racing league. You can join up to six leagues at any one time and run them how and when you want. For more information on setting up and joining a racing league visit dirtgame.com And as a thank you for supporting us during Early Access we are giving you a special DiRT Rally livery for the Subaru Impreza 1995. We won't be charging anything for that new content, regardless of when you join us you'll have access to everything we produce for our early access period at no extra cost. So that’s what we’ve made and this is just the starting point. Over the coming months we’ll be adding more cars, more tracks, new game modes and features we haven’t even thought of yet – features that you are going to think of and help us build. This is where you come in, we need your feedback, we want to know what you love, what you hate, what’s broken, what can we improve and we want you to start throwing new ideas at us. You can do that in any number of ways; follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook, join us on our forums, follow us on Twitch, Subscribe to our YouTube, post in the Steam community hub, subscribe to our subreddit and keep up to date with everything on dirtgame.com. We know Steam Early Access isn’t for everybody; a lot of you are going to be disappointed that you can’t play DiRT Rally right now but we want you to still feel a part of it and where we’re going. Join in with everything we’re doing, watch other players YouTube videos and Livestreams, talk to the people who are playing it and tell us what you want. You’re not excluded from any of this and your thoughts and ideas about what we’re up to are just as important. We won’t lie this is going to be a long road, and we’re fully expecting to hit a few rocks but hey that’s rally! We’re confident that with your help we can make DiRT Rally the greatest racing game anybody has ever made. Keep it lit.
  5. ****** UPDATED 05/05/2015 ******  Hi all, I'm going to close this thread off in favor of our new Early Access Bug Tracker which I hope will be a little easier to follow.  You'll find it here http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/6014/dirt-rally-early-access-bug-tracker-last-update-05-05-15#latest
  6. Thank you for participating in our Early Access program for DiRT Rally and helping to shape the development of the game, your ideas and feedback are really important to the success of the game. As we’re sure most of you are aware DiRT Rally is an Early Access title and constantly in development, so from time to time we’re going to hit a few bumps and encounter bugs. As we continue through our early access period we’ll keep a public list of known issues and give you regular updates on our progress with each of them. The first part of that process is where you come in and the more information you can provide us about these bugs and your system the quicker we can get to the bottom of the issue. To report a bug we’re asking that you copy and paste the below form into a new thread and post it in the bug reporting section of the forums so please be sure to give it a clear and descriptive title. Bug Report Form ----------------------------------------------------------------------- System Spec (Provide as much info about your rig as possible) Steps to reproduce (eg Game Mode > Stage > Car > Camera view > distance into stage) Your recent history of races  (Mode, Vehicle, Track, Conditions) Which stage were you within the championship\custom event? Which graphics preset were you using? (you can view this in game from the main menu) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition to this (and if reporting a graphical bug) please include a screenshot, to take one simply press F12 at anytime while playing the game. Save Game Issues Should you have any save game Issues (missing progress data or corruption) please make a note of the error code which is displayed on your screen and include that with your bug report. If you get a corrupt save game you must quit out of the game and send us the current save data before you revert to the backed up save data. We look at save game issues as the highest priority, so after posting your bug report to the forums please send an email to dirtgame[at]codemasters[dot]com with a link to your forum post and Zip the following folder - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*YourSteamIDNumber*\310560\ To get your DX Diag This can be created by typing “dxdiag” into your start menu, then running “dxdiag.exe”. After the green progress bar has completed in the bottom left, please press “save all information” to save the required .txt file. Email it over to us including in the email a description of how and when the error box pops up Send it to dirtgame@codemasters.com Obviously please keep in mind that DiRT Rally is still in development and by taking part in Early Access you are helping us to make it a better game for all. Every aspect of DiRT Rally is open to be shaped by you and even this bug reporting process may change in the future based on your feedback. Thank you all for taking part.
  7. Hi all, First up I want to say sorry for just how long it has taken to move DiRT 3 to Steamworks and I would also like to thank you all for keeping up the pressure on us to move it over. Every day I have over a hundred notifications on my Steam account, there are threads thousands of comments deep about it and countless Tweets and Facebook messages - while you’d think it would be the kind of thing that would bug the hell out of me, you’d be wrong. It just goes to show that you guys love DiRT and care about it a lot; I’m hoping you’ll bring that passion with you for where we’re going next... ...Anyway before I get into trouble, I’m pleased to announce that DiRT 3 is now available with 100% less Games for Windows Live. You'll find it here on the Steam Store As a thank you for your patience over this last year we’ll be upgrading everybody who owns DiRT 3 to the DiRT 3 Complete Edition, which will include all of our DLC for no extra cost. If you currently have the GFWL version of DiRT 3 in your Steam Library you should now also have access to the DiRT 3 Complete Edition which should already be there your list of owned games. To play it simply select it from your library and click install. However if you own a boxed PC copy of DiRT 3 or have a Games For Window Live CD Key you can now activate that CD key on Steam. To do so simply follow the below steps: Load up your Steam Client Click “Add a game” found in the bottom left of the window Click “Activate a product on Steam” Click “Next” Follow the instructions and when asked enter your CD Key into the “Product Code” box (include any hyphens and capital letters) Hit “Next” Your code will then be verified and the DiRT 3 Complete Edition will be added to your library And you’re good to go! Those who originally purchased the game via Steam will notice that the now old GFWL version of DiRT 3 will still be in your library. You will still be able to play this version but it will still include Games for Windows Live and you won’t have access to the Complete Edition content in the old version – nothing will have changed with that older version. Due to the differences with the two versions unfortunately your save files will not be compatible with each other. We know it sucks and we are sorry but it was unavoidable. As an added bonus if you also happen to own a Mac you will now have access to the DiRT 3 Complete Edition via Steam on that too. And of-course we’ve also included a set of Steam Trading cards for you to collect and added all of the original DiRT 3 achievements. Finally thank you again for sticking with us and a big thank you to the rather awesome people at Feral Interactive who helped us with the work. Keep it lit. Update: I want to try keep the bug reporting to one place if possible so the steam forums makes the most sense for now (hope that's ok?). If you are having problems and need to report a bug read this http://steamcommunity.com/app/321040/discussions/0/611702631209590203/ If you can't redeem your CD Key take a read of this http://steamcommunity.com/app/321040/discussions/0/611702631209725838/ If your game wont start after installing try this http://steamcommunity.com/app/321040/discussions/0/611702631209697156/

    Announcing F1 2015

Following a dramatic start to this year’s FORMULA ONE™season and just in time for the second round at the Malaysian Grand Prix we’re pleased to finally share with you some details on the official game of the 2015 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™. F1TM 2015is launching in June and you’ll be able to play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As we’ve confirmed previously the game has been built on an all new version of EGO tailored to deliver the ultimate FORMULA ONE videogame experience and act as a significant step forward in the game’s visuals and physics-based handling model. The new model delivers enhancements and additions in over 20 areas including engine and transmission, aero dynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and most notably a brand new tyre physics model – creating a truly breathtaking and realistic representation of how these cars handle on the track. The buzz and excitement that surrounds each GRAND PRIX™ is incredible, and we wanted to transfer that to F1 2015 with an all-new broadcast style presentation that’ll deliver that unmistakable race-day weekend atmosphere of a GRAND PRIX™, complete with podium and grid sequences. You’ll be seeing all of this in the Championship Season mode, the brand new (and very challenging) Pro Season mode and of course Quick Race and Multiplayer too. Using the voice recognition technology available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles you’ll be able to interact with your race engineer like never before. Through in-game voice commands with Kinect for Xbox One and the PlayStation®Camera or compatible headsets for PlayStation 4 you can ask for race info, updates on the weather, tyre status, request tyres and even front wing changes... And that is just a few of the many options available. We know a lot of our fans wanted to play F1 TM 2014 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, so as well as being the official videogame of the 2015 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPwe’re also including the cars, drivers and tracks from the 2014 season as bonus content. All built from the ground up with our updated handling and new game features. Here’s what Game Director, Paul Jeal had to say about the game - “F1 2015 marks an exciting new chapter for Codemasters and FORMULA ONE; it’s a shift in direction for the game series, on new formats and our brand new game engine, with the game set to be released earlier in the season, launching this June,” The handling is a vast improvement from our previous games. In particular our new tyre model is a superb step forward towards realism, letting you explore where the limit is and allowing you to instantly feel much more connected with the car. You can now experience the changes in grip caused by temperature changes, wear, car set-up, debris and weather conditions. Our improved vehicle dynamics much more accurately convey the difference in performance and the feel between mechanical and aerodynamic grip. The new Force Feedback system adds to the feeling of connection with the car and track surface. The more natural and realistic nature of the game physics also serves to ensure that the racing experience is more accessible, enjoyable and rewarding for players of all skill levels.” With the second race of the 2015 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP this weekend in Malaysia, the team is busy modelling the new 2015 cars and drivers in readiness for the game’s summer launch. You can see a tease of our first signed off 2015 content in our debut screenshots, as well as an early glimpse of the Mexican circuit. In addition to the 2015 season, we are also delighted to be able to offer the 2014 season as a bonus selectable season. Even this far out from our games release they truly show the power of our new game engine.” F1 2015 will be launching in June on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. To keep up to date with all the latest news on F1 2015 and this season’s championship you’ll find us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+

    In-game League Support

I could beat around the bush and try find a way to get out of you what you're preference would be in one of my DiRTy little games but lets be honest.... It's no secret :P So.. We'll do this the easy way, we're currently toying with the idea of adding proper full on league support to *cough* one of our upcoming titles but we need your help with it. We want to make sure we get the design of it right and while we have our own ideas about how it should work I think it's really important that we speak to the people that would hopefully use it the most (we don't want to do it half arsed). I don't want to colour your thoughts with what we're thinking of doing so I won't post that just yet (though I promise to post up one of our ideas for the feature later) We have at our disposal the game and the website and I want to know how would you would want league support to work? What kind of things do you want control over? What kind of info do you want displayed in game? How do you want to manage your league? and more importantly would you want to use it or do you prefer the way you currently run your leagues? That kinda stuff, open to all ideas - I'll answer any questions I can.  I'm not saying this will 100% happen, we're just putting the feelers out to see what you think :) (GRID, F1 and OT crowd that happen to be reading this post up your thoughts too)

  11. Topic of conversation in the studio today was on achievements (don't start jumping to conclusions about where we are with the project - just a conversation we've been having about games in general). And I was just interested - What kinds of things would you like to see in an achievement list? Give us a few names, tell us how to unlock them and how much you think they should be worth. Also what achievements have you popped in other games that you really liked?
  12. Hi All, As some have you may have noticed there are some issues with the availability of the Sprint Pack DLC from the North American PSN store. Just wanted to provide an update and let you know that we're working with Sony to rectify the problem, we'll have an update early next week regarding an expected live date for it.

  15. Today we’ve gone flat out for #throwbackthursday today with the release of Colin McRae Rally, featuring classic retro rally gameplay, made all nice and shiny, for PC and Mac. This latest version of Colin McRae Rally is based on PlayStation One classic Colin McRae 2.0. It follows the release of Colin McRae Rally on the App Store last year, which became the number one rally game in many countries around the world, and calls from you guys to bring that classic Colingameplay back to more platforms.  That process started with a release on Android and Blackberry earlier this year, and today we launch on Steam! This version features handling and physics inspired by Colin McRae Rally 2.0 and is upgraded with re-mastered audio and definitively fancier 1080p graphics. You’ll find yourself tackling 30 classic rally stages with a combined distance of over 130km in four legendary cars: the Ford Focus, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, Lancia Stratos and the Subaru Impreza.\ Of course, it wouldn’t be a Colin McRae game without co-driver Nicky Grist at your side, and he’s on hand to read out the pace notes as you hurtle through the Australian outback, climb the mountains of Greece and barrel through the tight and twisty tarmac roads of Corsica. Out now, you can enjoy all the retro thrills of the original Colin McRae games on today’s machines for less than the price of a couple of pints, and racing is particularly great when using the d-pad, as it would have been played on the PlayStation back in the day. It’s pretty cheap, pretty fun and it really captures that original experience. We hope you enjoy it whether you were around for the first time and fancy a bit of nostalgic rally action or are curious to see where our DiRT games started out. http://store.steampowered.com/app/287340/

  17. Weather update… It’s bloomin’ marvellous outside! So with that out of the way let’s get on with this week’s update. All that and more in this week's update
  18. It’s Community Spotlight time and this week we’re talking to Codemasters forum member; DiRT fan and owner of one of the sweetest gaming rigs we’ve ever seen; Avenga76. Tell us about your rig and give us some hard specs My rig is a heavily modified GT Omega EVO chassis using a Fanatec Clubsport wheel, pedals and an H-Shifter. For rally I use the BMW M3 GT2 rim with a DSD hydraulic handbrake and Short Shift Pro-Comp Sequential Shifter. The Fanatec CSW has a quick release system so I can swap over to the formula rim for open wheelers. I’m also using a SimXperience GS-4 6DOF motion seat which uses servo motors to simulate the sustained G-forces, bumps and impacts you would feel while racing. Under the seat cover there are these large metal paddles on the bottom and back of the seat which will press against you as you race. So for example if you are turning right then the seat will apply pressure to the left side of the seat simulating the lateral G-forces you would feel as your body is pushed against the seat towards the outside of the corner. Also, to further enhance the motion feedback I have an 8 transducer SimVibe setup which has eight bass shakers positioned strategically around my rig to recreate the different vibrations coming from different locations in the car based on the suspension, engine and other motion data from the game. How to Report Spam

Hi all, You may have noticed we've caught the attention of a few spam bots this afternoon. Firstly we are sorry they've managed to get in and mess up the joint and we are working with the forum providers to get it stopped.  In the meantime we have tweaked some of the forum settings to better enable you to help us police it. To remove and report a spam post simply hover over the Flag icon at the bottom of the post and click on the Spam button. The post should then vanish from the boards where it enters our admin/spam queue. As a reward we'll be dishing out a special "dats the sound of da police" badge to everybody who reports one of the offending posts early next week. Please do not click on any of the links in these posts (for obvious reasons)Please do not reply to any of the spam bots as you may end up accidentally having your account banned and deleted as part of the process (as in no way to get it back)Please do not abuse the system, anybody who does abuse the system will find themselves faced with a ban You guys are all awesome, again sorry about the teething problems with the new forum but its all part of it being in Beta still. Any questions or comments feel free to post up below.

  22. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf0OtaDhUMk Get that foot to the floor and drive it like you stole it in GRID Autosport’s Tuner Events! The Tuner discipline will test your throttle management skills to the limit in Drift events, ask you to thrash Muscle cars and get fast and furious behind the wheel of Super Modified motors in Time Attack events and races. Tuner events are all about style and control; you’ll be challenged to find the very edge of what your car can do, without taking it past the limit. And believe us, you’ll know when that limit is approaching as the crash barrier rapidly approaches the side of your car! Speaking of cars, let’s take a look at the list of these sweetest of rides… Tier 1Tier 2Tier 3MuscleFord Mustang Boss 302Chevrolet Camaro SSDodge Challenger SRT8 392 JDMNissan 2003 (S15) Silvia spec-R AeroHonda S2000Mazda RX-7 Type RZ (FD3S) Classic Muscle CupDodge Charger R/TPlymouth AAR Cuda ModifiedFord Mustang Boss 302 ModifiedChevrolet Camaro SS ModifiedHonda S2000 Modified C2 DriftNissan 2003 (S15) Silvia Drift TunedNissan 2004 (Z34) 350 Nismo Drift TunedMazda RX-7 (FD3S) Drift Tuned Nissan Skyline CupNissan 2005 (R34) nismo GT-R Z-Tune Super ModifiedMazda Panspeed RX-7 (FD3S)Honda 5zigen Civic C1 DriftMitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Team OrangeNissan 2011 (Z34) Chris Forsberg Racing 370ZNissan 1993 (S13) Daijiro Yoshihara 240SX NSX CupHonda NSX R   To find out a little more about what you’ll be getting up to and how to succeed in the Tuner discipline, we caught up with expert Car Handling Designer Katie Weeks and demanded some insider info… “There are many classes in the Tuner disciple, including muscle, JDM, modified and drift.First we have the Time Attack cars, featuring muscle cars and the Super Modified machines such as the Mazda Panspeed RX-7 and the Honda Civic 5Zigen. You are competing against the clock and not directly against other drivers. These are lighter, grippier versions of street cars, which are well balanced and around 500bhp. Drift cars are rear wheel drive, with increased steering lock and short gears which amplify the level of torque. Controlling these cars requires coordinating the amount of counter steer, modulating the throttle and brakes to shift the weight balance, as well as careful use of the handbrake. Timing is essential, or else you will simply spin out. The Tuner discipline is all about precision, timing and car control.” To join in the GRID Autosport discussion head on over to the forums, follow us on  Twitter or like us on Facebook and in case you missed it this week we also announced our complete car and tracklist. If you hadn’t already done so then there’s still time left to pre-order the Black Edition while PC Racing fans will be pleased to hear that pre-orders are now live on Steam.
