I wonder should I be saying something... 😁
No matter how hard you try, fog in real life won't go away by yelling at others. The things that do go away with enough yelling are the comments that I hide 😉
I think we have gotten quite off-topic. I'm sure there have been threads about fog in the past.

You could unbind the look left action as that seems to be what is causing the issue?

There is only one true answer, though this one seems too powerful 😁

On my phone it won't show me file type and I can't open it
Please try and send a link instead of an attachment 🙂

When two F1 drivers, that are known for doing sim racing, think that F1 2019 is not as good as other games in replicating the F1 driving experience - I would think F1 and Codemasters should consider what exactly this games does. If this is the official F1 game - it should be the best in reflecting the F1 driving experience - not poorly as two F1 drivers just very publicly said.
I'm not asking what he plays as I know he drives rF2 and iRacing. I'm asking when did he install and uninstall the game as he just said some weeks ago that he wouldn't touch the game.

Hey @DANDREWTHOMSON!
I'm not sure what that attachment you send was, but I hid the comment due to it being generally suspicious (and the forums glitched out meaning that I couldn't just edit your comment)
Links to places are fine, so are videos and images, but pasting an attachment with no filetype and making it sound like it would be an actual article from a respectable source is a bit suspicious.
I'll restore the comment if you can explain to me what that file was 🙂

I'm still wondering when and why did Verstappen even install F1 2019 🤔

What a trainwreck... and I don't even mean technical issues. Here are some of the lowlights of the race for me. There are loads of more 😕
-
The Start
I'm not sure what happened. My car didn't move at all until I pressed the "clutch" again causing me to get almost smashed into the wall, but somehow I was able to survive that although I did create some more danger by not giving space to pro3, but honestly I didn't even see him... While Saruman casually overtook something like 5 cars by ghosting 😁
If I would've been able to start the race normally, almost none of the following would've happened..
-
Stuck behind kisuke.
Now thanks to this being Monaco, kisuke just had to just stay on the racing line and I'd have no chance. I was so quicker even though I was running with the medium tires and a broken wing... I pushed him from behind couple of times due to that broken wing... sorry 😕
-
The understeer I didn't know was going to happen.
My mistake, turned late and understeered into the wall due to my decision to brake.
-
The strategy
I accidentally started on mediums as I misunderstood what Barry said, so I started on mediums. I eventually decided that I would switch to 1 medium set, 2 softs strategy which was the alternative strategy for me. Sadly on my second pit stop the tires weren't softs, but mediums, causing me to pit twice and once again end up behind kisuke 😕
-
The penalty
Thanks to the track layout of Monaco, the game thought I cut the corner as it warned me of going over the white line.
-
What even is this?
I'm glad it happened behind the safety car, as otherwise I would've driven the rest of the race with Xbox overlay on my face.

Although freedom of speech has its uses, the monetary value linked to the specific reputation of a product should be defended. My hat's off to you for defending our most beloved game. Ignore the actual racing drivers.Hey.
The thread hasn't been deleted and can be recovered if @BarryBL or another moderator disagrees with my decision. I'll be trying to explain my view here, and there is also an apology about something on the bottom of it.
I believe that the contents of the new thread weren't that different from this thread you had created previously.
Here is the body of your new thread with the highlighted parts that were the main reason for my actions. I believe that the first sentence and the sentence between the highlights wasn't enough for this thread to really need to exist, as the comment and thread linked above has basically the same information and opinion out there.
Normally in this situation I would merge the new thread to the already existing one, but I didn't think that was necessary that time as it would've caused the same video to be linked twice to the same thread, or I would've been forced to edit one of your comments which I don't like doing.
I for some reason forgot to inform you about it though. As usually I do leave some kind of comment explaining what actions I've taken so that all users understand how I have affected the conversation. This is directly agaisnt the moderation guidelines set up by Codemasters and I fully accept that I have in fact made a mistake by not informing the community of the actions I've taken.
I apologize to F1 forum community and Codemasters for not communicating the removal in a sufficent manner. You're free to contact Barry yourself about this incident and a possible punishment if you so please.

2 hours ago, ChasteWand said:You seem to be selective in what you took from my post above, only replying to what you could find to argue against. Never have I seen anyone from codemasters admit to the games shortcomings. 1512Marcel is the only official person to be critical. Perhaps a little more honest internal criticism and active listening to the forum (instead of casting those who stay as serial complainers) the game would achieve better feedback. Remember the list?
I'm not arguing agaisnt the fact that the game has issues but I do send replies when I think I can correct some information or I can try and explain why something is how it is 🙂 It's just that I reply to so many things every day that I kind of forget that I'm talking to different people, so it'll definitely sound like I'm only defending the game... or something like that. I may be saying something completely stupid but my brains don't work well enough to notice right now. I'll be back a bit later on with my edits like always 😁
Now I'd like to say something that no one reading this won't misunderstand. Marcel and I aren't employed by Codemasters and we can say whatever we want as long as it's fine by the rules etc. My replies to complaints always tend to be quite the same whatever game or company we are talking about (except few exceptions because I'm only a stupid human)
We both sent our applications when the then new Developer Liaison was looking for some F1 side moderators and now we are here. Though I was also recruited to be a moderator by the Southam side, so it's a bit more complicated for me.
I remember my list quite well. Though it was made during the old forums, so it'll be hard for you to find it 😉 I had two significantly simpler versions of it somewhere on these forums though.

Oh come on, we have 19 spots taken in our league! 😁 I would be over 20 if we wouldn't remove users that didn't tell us that they weren't going to participate for the race.
The F1 side will always be less active in around January-March as people take the earlier game from granted, and are waiting for the next one. Usually the people that stay are ones who like to complain, and not actually play the game.
We also got the all-time peak on PC just a week or so ago!

Looking forward to replying.

Hey!
I'm a bit confused about what's going on at Renault, so I'll sign you up to Racing Point if that's fine 🙂 You may be able to switch teams later on if there is an empty spot.

2 hours ago, RaceMyZaru said:What do you mean "looking into options"
It doesn't matter who the affected parties are, the "options" have been clear for years.Codemasters needs to make the functionality required for organized online play as STABLE and BUG-FREE as possible while adding some kind of advanced spectator functionality for proper live coverage in e-sports.
I personally don't care about the multiplayer aspect of your games and play the career mode, but none of this repeated public embarrassment was a surprise.
Looking into options most likely means what kinds of actions should the directors, teams, indivituals and such take in order to be able to provide a better product. What needs to be discussed is how it could be made, how much resources it would needs and who could pull it off etc. as just saying "We'll make this more bug-free" won't cut it, you know?

They use a "thing" called Bidstack, which will allow advertisements to be shown in places such as trackside objects depending on the clients location etc. This is also used to show these "Stay Home, Save Lives" messages.
"At Codemasters we came to realise that technology within our games, which enables the remote updating of banners within the virtual environment, could be repurposed to assist with the Coronavirus communication effort. This week, through collaboration with Bidstack Group PLC (providers of the ad-replacement infrastructure), we began delivering a version of Public Health England’s ‘Stay Home Save Lives’ message into DiRT Rally 2.0. It’s fantastic to see conversations already being sparked amongst our community." - Full Post

example
there are many more
let alone the fact that there is a Esports menu in the game..... so yeah to me they was massivly pushing e sports and online with f1 2019Well I mean that's a bit of a poor example given that it's an interview by a 3rd party, which means they answer to the questions they're asked. Also I do have respect for Mather especially on how he has been at Birmingham for 17 years which is longer than the time the studio has been known as Codemasters Birmingham! ...but a lot of the time when I hear about overhyped features etc. from users... it just seems that many people say that they heard it from Mather... Though that could just be me... or the fact they're looking at an employee's Twitter page 😁
What I found from blog, was "in F1 2019’s expanded multiplayer!" and some news about esports obvs. This is the blog about Leagues etc. http://blog.codemasters.com/f1/06/f1-2019-super-licence-and-leagues/
In terms of the trailers, most seem to focus on F2 & F1 Career + Senna & Prost. I remember how the driver transfers weren't properly advertised and we just heard about them through Lee Mather 😛 Some people went crazy about the addition.

4 minutes ago, cearp8858 said:the whole advertising campaign for the game launch was pushing esports and online multiplayer modes, online leagues.
I'll be looking around the blog etc., but at least about the trailers, the official game trailer 3 is the only one (out of 6 trailers) to even mention basically anything about leagues or esports.
If I miss anything, then do poke me 🙂

I wonder where has it been said? I honestly cannot remember and have started to wonder if this is like the "You have to be alert on a street circuit" thing that was not said by Palmer according to Palmer himself in the 2nd(?) THE RACE event.

6 minutes ago, ChasteWand said:If you have evidence this was only to change advertising, and only advertising, I will retract my statement.
I also doubt the people who play these esports events pay for the game. Hardly seems fair to pay and suffer, whilst those that don't get priority treatment. Moreover the official line from codemasters is that the game is working as intended and such issues don't exist. Esports ready the hyperbole proclaims. I think it is clear for all to see that that is simply untrue.
If and when codemasters release a game that comes close to fulfilling their lofty claims (doesn't have to be perfect, I accept even the best software has issues) then I will pay for it. Until such times I shall buy second hand, after all patches and, speak as I find.
Remember the list. 😉Well we don't have any evidence that would tell us anything else than visual stuff were changed?
I'm not 100% sure if you understand how branches work, so here is how they work. Don't take this as an insult or anything, but sometimes the way people write something may make me think that the writer could have a misconception of something.
- Developer creates a branch
- The developer adds content to that branch, such as a new experimental feature etc. that is not yet ready for the public. Another possibility is to add stuff that is only for a very specific purpose, such as to for example intentionally kill the game, which is completely useless for most people.
-
The tester navigates to Steam -> Library -> [Game] -> Properties -> Betas and selects the branch he should use. The page looks like this, except the obvious part of it being in a weird language.
- Steam now downloads and installs the files that are different between the previous and the current branch.
- The tester launches the game like normal.

I'm so glad I didn't buy this game, codemasters don't deserve my money, or anyone else's for such shameful skulduggery.
I really fear for the future of SMS.
What do you mean? They always have branches for various things, including esports. Sometimes they get new features a bit quicker, sometimes it's just stuff like advertising boards being changed etc.
The only difference I was able to spot was the event sponsors I believe?

Dispute the claim and it should be lifted 🙂
The F1 commnity has always had issues with Content ID claims.
