@PJTierney when will you guys be going into more details about Scotland? Like where abouts it is and an image of the route?

Hopeful guesses or is this confirmed somewhere? I’d love it if it were those stages. Also, @PJTierney can you confirm that Scotland will be available in all the normal game modes, not just exclusive to the Flat Out challenges?

Since 1997 the RSAC Scottish Rally has been solely based in Dumfries & Golloway, not Perth & Kinross, so it’s unlikely. But then again, Whaanga Coast road is in Waikato not Hawkes Bay so you never know!

Just as I was starting to think my dream of a Scottish rally was over and that ‘Perth’ was actually in reference to Knockhill this comes along! Cannot wait to see the stages, loving the cars but these stages are gonna be awesome!

Perth used to be the base of the RSAC Scottish Rally up until about 1998/9 I think when it moved to Dumfries. Also Rally Scotland from IRC during 2009-11 ran out of Perth and used stages in central Scotland like Errochty, Drummond Hill, Craigvinean and Loch Ard. So we’re latching onto the idea that some classic Scottish rally stages will be added!

Unfortunately the FIA website is a nightmare to navigate, however there are multiple references to R5 cars having 5-speed gearboxes elsewhere on the internet. I can’t find a single reference to any homologated R5 car using a 6-speed gearbox. The screenshot from Škoda’s info page on the R5 even says “That’s why the FABIA R5, like all other cars in R5 category, uses an all-wheel-drive system with two differentials and a five-speed sequential gearbox.”

What website did you look at that says they’re all 6 speed?

It would be nice if one of the game modes like the Historic section gave you a mixed class system (but actually mimicking the real life classes at the time) as you progress through the ‘80s into the ‘90s

Well considering we’re still just getting teasers it’s a bit early to say it’s gonna be ‘just one car’. Let’s wait until official confirmation, now is the time for feverish speculation!

If we were getting more stages for existing locations I think some locations are more in need of the extra variety than others - Monte Carlo and Argentina are the top ones imo, then after that Wales, NZ and Germany. Like you I’d be happy either way with new locations or new stages
