If they were going to go for a licenced game I’d like to see them go for individual rallies much like how RBR had Pirelli International Rally, Rally Hokkaidō etc. - it gives them the freedom to make up an imaginary but well balanced ‘world series’ or whatever, bit still with a sense of realism to the events. Under those circumstances my personal picks would be Azores Rally (the volcano stage), Killarney Rally of The Lakes (Moll’s Gap) and Rally Whangarei (pretty much anything with huge camber!)

Mineshaft is from Rally of Canberra so definitely no problem with a WRC licence there! Also, a Wales-England-Scotland style RAC Rally and a mixed-surface Rallye Sanremo would both go down well

Real WRC stages - there’s plenty of characterful rally stages that can be chosen from to do something similar to DiRT Rally which aren’t associated with the WRC
-
Don’t forget group A too - I’d definitely prefer a DiRT Rally 2 style game where Codemasters can really let loose than a probably too restrained title because it’s got to appease the WRC promotor

Meanwhile, somewhere at Codemasters, @ChristinaMc is sitting at her desk laughing at the fact that the members of a forum are so desperate for news that they have resorted to dissecting an inane tweet about fruit. Inane?! HOW DARE YOU. It's fruit @ChristinaMc. You should be tweeting about the big issues. Like tea, cake or burgers. #ItsAllAboutTheCarbs When I start tweeting about Tunnocks tea cakes, you know stuff's going down. ;) Confirmed: Mull Rally to appear in next DiRT title! Or maybe it does when Christina actually tweets about Tunnock’s...

8/10 WRC 8 out of 10 coming soon WRC 8 will be the first codemasters WRC title and will have the licence up to and including WRC 10

It’d be nice if we could get DR2 instead of a WRC game - with some interesting non-WRC locations and maybe more of the group A curios, F2 kit cars and 97-on WRCs - but will a licensed WRC game act as a cash generator for codemasters? Otherwise they’d be making DR type games all the time to satisfy a probably small market

Running Verify integrity of game cache seems to have worked. I'll see how things go...

Thanks for your input, I'm not clued up on PC stuff so bear with me... I've got a Toshiba of some kind running: Windows 10AMD A4-6210 APU with AMD Radeon R3 Graphics, 1800 Mhz, 4 Cores (By the way I have no idea what any of that means)Game settings are as low as possible bar the car detail which is Low (I believe Ultra Low is the lowest option on car detail?)The rest I don't understand or know where to find something that, while I wouldn't understand the specifics of it, would at least know it to be the required information...There used to be horrible juddering after the first update I got and I spent a lot of time trying to work out how I can optimise my PC as I have it. I cleaned up the Hard drive (even though I only got this laptop in May) and made sure very little was left on it and used a pen drive to run as FAT32 (again I have no idea about the specifics of that but read it might improve processing power/speed). The next update stopped the juddery noise which I read was one of the specific fixes. It was running fine until the Finland update when this started happening. Quite rare but did occur at least once per stage. Now since the last update it is far more common - maybe 3 or 4 times per 10km stage. It doesn't slow down or anything, it'll just appear in the distance and I drive through it or like the pic I attached it''ll seem to 'catch' on to the car and hang on for a couple of seconds. DiRT Rally is the only game I have so I can't speak for other games

Am I the only one suffering from really bad screen tear? Not sure if screen tear is the correct phrase but the image shows what I mean. It started from the Finland update and has got even worse since the update this week. Could of course be down to my computer but I'm not so sure about that...
