Was very stressful but as I do manual pit stops entry and exits I knew I lost too much time so considered 1 stop as worth it. Was very stressful but exciting!

    Thanks for the reply. I’m due to pit on lap 14 if I could maybe stretch that to lay 19/20 it might be possible

    I’m currently on my last race in my championship season with Carlos sainz, I qualified 5th at Abu Dhabi.  I’m planning a 2 stopper to go soft, soft, medium. Has anyone tried a one stop here? I’m thinking of going long on my first stink then straight  on to the hard? Anybody ever done this?

    Just wondering if codemasters could at a bit more depth to the championship mode for 2020 like managing parts throughout the season and maybe the upgrades like in career mode. They definitely need to add in where drivers have finished In previous races like they do in career mode. Also the head to head qualifying battle. Just asking for a bit more depth as I don’t play career mode and only play championship mode.

    To try to answer your question @sirio994, it could be a few factors. I play at a similar AI (I've slowly gone from 85 to now 103) and I noticed that mostly it was me. Because I am now playing at a higher level, I'm having to concentrate more and being 'at my peak' in terms of lap time every lap sort of reflects in my pace at the end of races especially. I have the same in for Forum Championship, I'm on the pace early but it becomes tough to maintain the pace towards the end of the race, because everyone is so quick. Do you feel you make mistakes at the end of the race? I do, just little ones. 

    From a games perspective, it could be tyre wear perhaps vs AI who won't run off line as much as the player, being more efficient. They should be consistent in their usage of things like ERS and Fuel. Maybe a few more tweaks to the setup could find a little extra pace.

    Just, from my experience, it's my lack of long run consistency. Even offline, towards the end of races, I find it a little tough to not switch off if I'm not fighting anyone, or I get a little desperate in chasing/defending, causing me to actually lose time.

    Not saying that is you, but that is my weakness now I've upped my level of competition.

    So why not make career mode where there is an option to control a real life driver or create your own driver? That way you are catering for both players who want and like creating there own driver and catering for people like me who would like to choose a real life driver and do the career mode stuff with managing part wear, upgrades etc

    Thanks for replying could you pass my idea on to the people could make this happen I really don’t think it’s that big of an ask It’s just simply Use real driver or create your own.

    Not holding out a lot of hope for this in 2020 sadly, I just think the Championship mode needs a lot more depth.

    Championship mode needs a massive overhaul for 2020. I only play championship season. Not sure why Codemasters can’t put everything they have in career mode like upgrades and part wear etc into championship mode. Been saying this for 4/5 years but never get anywhere.😩😩

    New championship mode is needed. Not everyone like creating there own driver some like me like doing a season with a real driver. This should be available on this years game and you should be able to do all the things you can do in career mode like upgrade car. Obviously too much to ask for as I’ve been banging on about this for last 4 years
