The issue is that, when you say that to the engineers, straightline speed can be adjusted by the following based on my knowledge: lower wing angles to an obvious extent, lower the ride heights of the car, increase tyre pressures, adjustments to the rear toe can also be done and I think there are also many ways than those in the game. The drivers need to also describe where in the track they are losing straightline speed, because it can also be a battery deployment aspect, where the team can adjust the deployment of the battery in the lap. If you watched the practice sessions, I think it was Grosjean who said that “there is no grip” on the track on the team radio. Now, if you tell that to an engineer or mechanic in the briefing with the team after practice, he will probably stare at you with the face: “are you serious? We need more than that”. Off throttle, corner exit, medium speed corners, low speed corners, high speed corners, change of direction in the types of corners, driving over the kerbs, run-off areas, under braking, after braking, etc etc... Accuracy and being specific is what they need to describe to the team. Verstappen for instance this weekend, commented on the wing levels being very off set. Now, if I understand that correctly, that can mean that the wing levels are not equal, like in the game I could apply it to it having 1 front wing with 11 rear wing or vice versa.

1. That is obviously different than in the game of course, as they have the entire car to change, whilst we only have some of them. I am sure there are parts that they adjust which are not available in the game. You will also need to take in a lot more variables, such as weight priority, which was the aspect that Mercedes were not factoring when they lost to Red Bull in the Anniversary GP. I am pretty sure they do this in the debrief room with their computers, and I think the mechanics are the ones adjusting it on the car. Watch it. It is F1 porn LOL.

This is what I always hate. People just do not know how to read accurately. He clearly perfectly, crystal clear indicated that he was inquiring for the successor of F1 2020. I am pretty sure they already have a plan for this, whether it will be the successor of this game, or the succeeding games. I am sure Nurburgring and Istanbul Park are not that much of an issue since it was present on F1 2011 and F1 2013. Mugello, Portimao and Imola are the ones that could cause some issues for them. I am sure everyone just wants a chance to get on the game, take the fastest car, and just drive around those tracks.

Same here. PS4 controller, straight out of the first game, I was able to use manual gears. Gotta love everything when it gets realistic

Hamilton’s awareness decreased by 5? Really? And they keep Bottas’ awareness at 99. So let me get this straight, Bottas, who lost the lead at the last race due to a lockup, basically has no effect on his awareness, which is defined as car control in the game. In Russia, Bottas could not get his qualifying lap due to cold tyres, and he even gave Mercedes’ main rival, Verstappen, a tow on his final lap. Unless Mercedes wanted Bottas to start P3 in Russia due to the cleaner side of the grid oferring a grip advantage at the start, then this is ridiculous to keep Bottas at 99 and Hamilton at 83. A 16 POINT DIFFERENCE? You are telling me that the best driver on the grid has 83 awareness? Similar to Vettel at 81 awareness? Who is just a spin magnet? Hamilton’s incident at Monza does not merit a -5. It was a very unique situation, and the team also has some of the blame on this. Russia’s incident as well.

It’s all part of the ULTIMATE, THE GREAT FERRARI MASTER PLAN..........

I have already mentioned this is some other threads. It’s crazy about those strategies.

So, I went throught the 10 seasons of "My Team"...

I see. I wish they would make it that when all cars have all upgrades fitted, that they will be having equal performance points. -

For R and D, are you confirming that the My Team car is actually the car that can have the highest performance points when all cars are fitted with all the upgrades? In other words, the performance graph in the picture shows when every team has applied all of their upgrades on the tree? I am curious to know which team has the highest performance points after all upgrades are applied. -
I will try to do a test in China one of these days. Were your tyres used or new? I do not remember my practice for My Team in Gp mode, but I do know that I made Medium tyres last at least 14 laps while driving as Bottas and on 105 difficulty. Turn 1 in China can literally eat the front left tyre. Pretty similar to me, especially that I am a little bit aggressive with the rear tyres in Canada. But Canada has been a track I cannot extract good laptime. In Baku, it’s the rears that are having more wear than the front, but at Baku I have no problems. Well, it is always due to the player. Some tracks you excel, and some tracks, in spite of the same characteristics to one that you do well, you can struggle. Brazil is quite similar to Canada and Azerbaijan, and I do not like driving at Brazil, but I still do well there in comparison to the 105% ai. Softening the rear anti roll bar can help in rear tyre wear, but it will be mainly down to how heavy your fingers are or how heavy your right foot is LOL. I’d also keep the rear toe at minimum to the left.

Whahahaha. I am a pad user as well. However, I believe that front tyre management is a lot easier than rear tyre management. You barely get wheelspin when playing on the pad, whilst on the wheel, you can get lots of wheelspin if you are too fast on the pedal. As a pad user, I think the difference could be in the suspension settings. However, I think camera plays a role as well. Any setup that I use from youtubers running on t cam feels extremely stiff and heavy when I use them on cockpit cam. I am forced to run soft suspensions and roll bars.

And what about boring? Ferrari is not accurately placed in the performance chart. Adjust to the game yourself like you did. I want something perfect or close to the real F1 in every aspect. Mercedes and Red Bull are way too close compared to real life. Yea, I agree on this. I just want everything close to real F1. You stick to your preferences while I stick to mine. Simple as that. Just give us the performance update that is accurate to real life.
-
I am one of those who likes it. Mercedes are clearly the best and fastest in real life and it game, it should be no exception. Red Bull are way too close to Mercedes in the game. Ferrari and Racing Point are the ones expected to be modified.

Da answer is: NO HEROICS INTO SAINT DEVOTE PLEASE!!!

I think ai strategies need to be adjusted. I just won a totally unexpected race of the US Grand Prix in Season 1 in a 22 race season when my car is closely matched with the midfield. I started from P8, due to grid penalties from Ricciardo and Verstappen, and there was a safety car on lap 11-13, and the ai decided to pit for hard tyres instead of medium tyres, and some even went for the 2 stop strategy. The one stop Soft-Medium or vice versa appeared to be clearly the better strategy, and I only overtook Albon to win the race, while the others, I just overtook on track through the pit stops. Same goes for Q2, if the ideal strategy is a Medium-Hard like on Baku, Bahrain, France and Singapore, make the ai qualify on the Medium tyres in Q2.

You cannot cut the second part. As soon as you dip 4 wheels over the white line, it is a corner cut slowdown. I have been slightly conservative through the chicane to avoid that. I think a 20 second final sector is still possible with good line and speed through there. My best sector 3 is a 21.4.
-
This is a minor problem in the game that can be slightly reduced by setup changes. What really gets to me is the ai not being affected by carcass temperatures, and all of us know that once your tyre temperatures go above 100 degrees, you lose grip greatly. I hope codemasters do fix this problem in the future. Otherwise, surface and carcass temperatures is just not fun.
-
This is really annoying as hell. Particularly on grid starts. Ai cars just park it on the apex or suddenly slowdown at the exit. I really hate grid starts becuase of this, as winning on grid starts is almost a lottery.

I have not had problems learning this track, and I am on a controller. This track is just driving porn like Suzuka. As Jeff says, late apexes is the style here. Sector 3 even highlights this to a greater extent. You need a car that is stable and responsive for this track. You are going to need to use some of the kerbs in sectors 1 and 2, but you will want to avoid all the kerbs in sector 3. It is not that much a brake-accelerate “stop and go” circuit, and it is not that much a late braking track. It seems to also suit slow and smooth steering. Trail braking is also great for sector 3. I am sturggling to get grips with USA. I don’t know what it is, but I just cannot get a decent time Sector 1 and 2. I think this could be brake setup, and I plan to try 53% brake bias instead of 50%. I have been learning USA for 4 days now, since this is the first time I have reached USA in the F1 codemasters games. Bahrain seems to be fine for me. It’s another track that I am not great in terms of speed, but I can drive extremely consistent laps.

I don’t believe it. We have fake news for patches of video games? And I thought fake news of F1 was hilarious...

I think there is also ai adjustments. i’ll try to find the link saying this. Edit 1: https://updatecrazy.com/f1-2020-update-1-10-patch-notes-for-ps4-pc-and-xbox-one/ I wonder what ai improvements are these.

I can acheive identical laptimes with both cars. I just feel the multiplayer car is less prone to sliding. Maybe it”# just me.

I like the Pure Joy podium. Not sure to purchase it since I only have the normal edition.
-
I know it looks like a league race, but... that’s what happens when you run out of cash in MY TEAM 😛 One thing that really frustrates me is when the ai takes over during the formation lap. I try to predict when the ai takes over, as it does not appear to have any consistent timing in reference to the race track. Speaking of the pit crew, I wonder why they removed the pit crew upgrades...

Just some questions. Do weekly items return in the future? Like the “Pure joy” podium celebration. Will it return as a weekly or daily item in the future? Are weekly items purchasable everyday? Or are they just exclusively available in the item shop? The pure joy celebration looks nice.
