    Little input lag using TCams

Somehow I can be more accurate with cockpit cam than t cam and I am on a pad.

    Is My Team too easy?

By the way, when does the r and d regulation change whisper occur? I am at Italy and have received no messages yet. Next thing is, I get hit with the cheese: no messages and then regulation change occurs in Russia or Japan..

    Is My Team too easy?

How about make r and d parts more expensive? Tom97 just started his driver career at Red Bull in Silverstone season 1, and the upgrades were off the charts in terms of costs. One major upgrade cost like 2000 r&d points...

    Podium Pass Season 2

I am looking forward to getting something worth it with my 2500 pitcoins. I hope I could get a pose or a podium celebration or a livery. The liveries of the cars look too simple and common.

    Is My Team too easy?

I am at Hungary in the first season, and we are just ahead of Haas in the development chart, 3rd worst team in the grid. Mick Schumacher is already fighting for points with me, and he is just at 83 pace LOL. I finished 2nd there and he finished 6th... I imagine if I continue to push the aero and chassis developments, we will start to be easily best of the rest... I believe so. We are still 3rd worst team on the grid, and as I said above, in Hungary, Mick Schumacher and myself were easily fighting for points. I have always believed that your car needs to suit your driving style rather than it being fast, and have a good handling as well. It becomes a lot easier when you develop chassis and aero upgrades. I received a Major front downforce upgrade for Hungary, the first major one on the r and d tree, and immediately, I felt I could be more aggressive with the steering in sector 2. I also had a minor tyre wear upgrade in the roll dampers, and the car was immediately a lot more consistent in doing high fuel runs in prsctice. In qualifying, I was consistently the fastest driver by 1-3 tenths through sectors 2 and 3. But I was losing almost 4 tenths to everyone in Sector 1. I really do not believe that the performance chart is representative of the cars’ pace... I think that once you have aero upgrades and chassis upgrades, you will immediately notice the improvements. I brought a minor rear downforce for Vietnam, and the car’s sliding was completely gone. I was no longer sliding, until I get dirty air from the other cars... Before that, the car tended to slide quite a lot, particularly in slow speed corners... Better upgrade aero and chassis..... They make the car a lot easier to drive...

Damn... yea. It is consistent and accurate.

I can’t hide my frustration anymore

Something that I wish: Grid customization for Grand Prix mode races. Imma do races where I start all the front runners from the back.

    Where is the performance update?

https://www.formula1game.com/2020/news/f1-2020-driver-ratings-update?fbclid=IwAR3wJyAT3ank9wwdWg8K4cTpcAlxkrhQkfn4-NTHsoRm07YelH4P5z79Ukg We have an update in the drivers... I don’t understand Hamilton’s drop in awareness even though he has spun in qualifying in Silverstone. If we base awareness on only car control, then Hamilton’s 95 was already fine in comparison to Bottas’ 99. If we base awareness in general, then Hamilton probably deserves a 100 if Bottas is 99. Vettel’s pace has been dropped 2 points, which I still find odd considering Leclerc has been maintained at 93.

    F1 2020 new tracks

I know this has already been an annoying topic, but pleasee Codemasters. Please do something for the future. Please find a way to get the new tracks in this season for the future games. I am sure you guys will find a way to do so. I can’t wait to have the chance to drive that track with the cars in the game. Also, I wish we could customize our season in career mode or My Team. I would like to choose the number of races I do on each season, instead of having 22, 16 or 10.

    PERFORMANCE CAR UPDATE

Vettel’s pace should be dropped dramatically. 94 is too much. Probably give him an 85-90 if Leclerc is maintained at 93. Other than that, I think his awareness and racecraft seem fine to me. Russell is another one whose stats seem off, and I hope they boost him. edit: Has anyone found the formula to calculate the overall rating of the drivers?

    General race setup

So far I know that you can increase tracton by doing the following: -Decrease/unlock the on throttle differential. -Softening the rear anti roll bars. In regards to tyre pressures, you need to find your balance among them... High pressures will give more grip, but without management will lead to you overheating the tyres and that would mean that the tyre does not provide enough grip. Keep on pushing and this will definitely lead to more tyre wear. Too low pressures will lead to lesser temperatures, but at the same time less grip, and due to this, you may be required to warm up your tyres more. It will still lead to more wear though.. As a pad user, I run low tyre pressures to avoid overheating... Wheel users may run more front tyre pressure and less rear pressure whilst for pad users it could be the opposite...

I can’t hide my frustration anymore

I have a question in terms of physics, since I play on simulation damage... does losing a front wing endplate severly reduce aerodynamics performance and car performance? I find it odd that just a small piece of endplate can make you lose at least 0.5 seconds per lap. In terms of traction, if you are on the wheel, you can lose traction on 5th gear if you are applying a lot of steering lock. I wish we could also tell Jeff to monitor a particular driver in the race...

    My team teammate

Whahahaha I wonder if the other drivers’ demands also evolve over time. For example, Mick Schumacher went from only cash and team acclaim to demanding those plus a spec one in marketing and in personnel facilities. I wonder if it can also happen to other drivers...

    No pace in hungary

I struggle badly in the middle sector, unlike the s section in Suzuka, where if I would race online in random lobbies, I would normally be the fastest person in the first sector of Suzuka. For me personally, it’s the kerbs that cause the issue in Hungary. The chicane is not that much of a problem for me. It’s just the S section after the chicane. The kerbs of 9 and 10 can unsettle the car and can make you lose laptime easily. The traction out of 6 is also another issue, and we need to be careful with it because turn 6 can easily spin you out if you are greedy with the throttle. Turn 12 are also a bit of problem for me, because you need to go as wide to the left as possible to open up turn 12 and when you do that, there is a kerb on the left that just sends the car flying if you mount it, and your whole lap is over. I have no problems driving in race trim, as we drive at about 70-90% in terms of effort. It’s just hooking up a good lap in qualifying.... And the fact that qualifying is critical here because following on this track is just a pain.

    No pace in hungary

This track is difficult to get a good lap in qualifying. This should be one of the easiest tracks in terms of ai difficulty. However, that is, if the player has decent pace. I am also at Hungary and I race on 105 difficulty with no assists. I think this track is one of the hardest to hook up a good lap. A car with good change of direction is important on this track. I find this track harder to get a good lap than Monaco, Singapore, Vietnam and Azerbaijan. I do not think that driving carefully on this track is the way to get a good lap, apart from in the race. I think you need to really attack the track. My theoretical best lap time in time trial on this track is a 1:13.8., and I have been making mistakes everywhere. As such, I’d say with a perfect lap, it would be a 1:13.3-1:13.6. However, that is not my personal best lap time, as my personal best is a 1:14.3... You need to put all three sectors together...

After 1.07 patch the SAFETY CAR is gone

Yea, I think only for F2 it appears in 50-100% races. I checked it. I think you must have simulation damage on for a guarantee of it coming out..

new to game, how to choose car setups

Mate, how do you find Tom’s setups fine? I also race on a pad, but with no assists. I am having to drastically soften the anti roll bars to make his setups suitable to me. I find his setups and most youtubers’ setups to be extremely stiff when cornering and particularly in the change of direction. Perhaps it could be due to me running maximum camber on both the front and the rear and also minimum toe on both rear and front. I also run with 50% on throttle diff and 50% off throttle diff. I also run extremely low tyre pressures.

    General race setup

Setup changes do not have a bigger effect on race pace than your driving style. Not applying the brakes fully, avoiding high amounts of steering lock, avoiding wheelspin and avoiding slides will make your setup better in race trim. I ran a time trial setup in Vietnam for My Team and I play on 105% difficulty on a pad with no assists, and I still got 6th place in the 50% race. Tyre pressures are where you could start. Lower pressures are recommended, but be aware of the following in this game: Higher Tyre Pressures: Higher tyre temperatures, lower wear and better grip. Lower Tyre Pressures: Lower tyre temperatures, higher wear and better traction. You’ll need to find a balance between performance and tyre wear. Whenever I feel a lack of grip, I normally adjust the tyre pressures. If I feel I am getting understeer or the car slides, that is the time I adjust either the aerodynamics, differential, suspension geometry or suspension settings. British GP unraceable

It did help in getting better traction. However, I found out that using overtake out of the loop solved the problem and I am now matching the ai in the first sector. I gained 1-3 tenths by using 5-10% of the overtake just out of the loop. Now I can compete with the ai, but I must not let them get out of drs zone.

    British GP unraceable

I may try to run the rear toe at that setting. If it can give an easier time applying the throttle, then it could be worth a try. I lose at leaat 0.3 in the first sector at Silverstone and it all appears from the exit of the Loop complex...

    About tyre pressures

Driving style is also a factor. Finding the correct tyre pressure balance does help. However, if you continue to push the tyres, you are increasing temperatures, and when temperatures reach 103 degrees, you lose grip quickly. If you are sensitive to setup adjustments, you’ll need to find a balance among the tyre pressures. If I feel I don’t have grip when driving with a setup, I adjust the tyre pressures, and normally it has been giving me good results. If you feel you are not having grip, then I suggest you increase the tyre pressures, as that will allow better control in spite of slightly higher temperatures. tyre pressures: Increase them for better grip in high speed at the cost of higher temperatures but better wear. Decrease them for better traction with lower temperatures, but more wear. Since I am a pad user and do 50% races on 105 difficulty, I may have my rear tyre pressures higher than the fronts depending on the track...

    British GP unraceable

Interesting. That could be the reason why I am losing at most 0.5 of a second to the ai in the first sector. I have had to run rich fuel almost the entire lap to keep up with the ai. After some driving adjustments, I was able to keep up with Hamilton when playing as Bottas. I also lowered the front wing by 1 click in the 2nd stint. However, I need to check where else I am losing time. It still requires me to drive 100% all race long. Funny that the Red Bulls and Ferraris cannot keep up with me once I get ahead of them, but once they are in front, they do similar pace to me.

    British GP unraceable

I play on a 105% difficulty with no assists and on the pad. My goodness... The most overpowered track in the game, I have seen so far from the ai. It’s arguably worse than Suzuka in F1 2019. I am now at Silverstone in My team. Today, I did a practice race in Grand Prix mode as Bottas. Hamilton was at least 0.6-1.0 quicker than me. Albon and Verstappen in the Red Bull were somehow matching Hamilton’s lap times whilst the Ferrari drivers were just within 0.1-0.3 of me. I am forced to find some pace, and that is considering I run 3 front wing and 6 rear wing with 1 front ride height and 3 rear ride height. I was shocked to see that Albon was matching my top speed at the end of the Hangar Straight and that was without neither of us using overtake, and I was using Rich fuel mix. The gap though to Albon was quite stable for most of the race, at around 1.5-2.0 seconds. So far, I have only driven the races in which I am in my My Team career, and among the first 12 tracks in the calendar, this has been the worst in terms of ai pace. I am still baffled how I lose almost at maximum 0.5 in the first sector to the ai... I have been forced to run Rich fuel for most of the lap... I only used lean in the loop section, brooklands, luffield and at vale, whilst for the second sector I run rich until the end of the Hangar Straight... Gonna need to find some pace with setup changes or driving style...

    Short-shifting

Not much in this game unlike last year. I also use no assists and on a pad. Short shifting depends on the corner for me. As much as possible, I try to avoid it on gears 5-8 because the lack of power appears to be noticeable on this game in those gears.
