  1. First of all, you are all embarrasing yourselves in this thread. OP for not thinking through his way of communicating, and the rest of you for not answering constructive and therefore fuelling the discussion.

Second the central pivoting point of the cars in the EGO engine has been known for years and is still apparent, though it's highly improved since the first versions of DR1 and earlier titles. It is not noticeable from within the car, but is easy to see when using chase cam that the cars pivot around the center point. On gravel this is hardly noticeable since the car will slide alot, but on tarmac it is noticeable.

Third, please everyone, before you post anything, read through it and try to see it from the other side, is there anything in your wording that can be perceived as offencive, and likewise, when you read a post, please try and reread a few times, to see if the person is trying to get a message through thats just obscured by bad wording.

  2. Hello

Against better judgement, I just need to vent this out here:

Have the devs of this game ever diven a single meter on a snow and ice covered road with proper winter tires?

It doesn't feel like it, Monte Carlo should not be like Bambi on the ice, against contrary beliefs, theres is actually quite a lot of grip on ice and specialy snow, even on summer tires, and specially with studded winter tires. Yes it's more slippery than dry tarmac, but it is quite frippy, and you will normally get a gradual slip, much like on gravel.

And before you start, I'm from Norway, I do know how it feels on snow and ice 🙂

There, rant over, phew, good to get it ofmy chest 🙂

Brilliant game Codies, and I mean it, it's imposible to get everything perfect, but you nearly got there....

SS1: Of course you should do a shakedown. Get a feel for the car, change the setup... Unfortunately there was some problem with my brain-hand-eye-coordination, because I pressed "Start the stage" immediately. Great... No rhythm, a few halfspins, bad time.

SS2: Better. Not good, but better.

SS3: With more confidence, I tried to push, resulting in a spin in a tight place. Some seconds lost. Rhythm said goodbye again.

SS4: Shortly before the end of the stage, my older daughter wanted me to check her homework. Lost concentration, spun. Being the best dad in the world, I kept a stiff upper lip.

SS6: High speed roll without significant time loss. But I drove very slowly after that. Was sure Audi75 would catch me, but he lost a lot of time in the last stage.

Entertaining ride, though the car felt much more nervous than I would have liked.

Oh yes I did, my last stage was royally messed up

  4. Ended the event and WOW did I do good! I am last, and 41 seconds down to Audi, my closest rival, but I feel it was the slickest drive in any league I've done so far. I even won the second run through Peresma Platani! I WON A STAGE YAYYYY (and I would have finished the stage before only 4 seconds down to the winner had I not flown off the side of a cliff and lost 12 seconds. Last power stage was awful, but I apparently made up some more time to Audi (or I calculated wrong earlier). All in all, a good drive. I expect to be in the points at the end.
How in Gods holy name (and all that) could I not be last after the shitty round I did, think I was off the road several time on each stage, and the last stage alone I got three resets, losing 45 sec alone.

In between all my offs, something quick must have happened

PS: FloatingGrass, not trying to put you down here, have also noted that we usually have our little competition down the scoreboard, which I enjoy very much, just didn't expect to beat you in this event.

I'm not sure if P. Solberg will be driving for a full season. I will be glad if It will be wrong, I am his fan since 2005. But maybe it will be self-titled Rally team and he will be challenging with DS3
As far as I'm aware Petter Solberg is doing the World Rallycross Championship again next year. Both his rallycross DS3's are currently up for sale (as is the team trailer) and there have been rumours that another rallycross team will be picking him up... but then I have also heard he is building a new rallycross DS3. Irrespective all the Solberg plans for 2016 I have heard involve rallycross!

As far as I know Petter bought 3 new team trucks this year, and the one put out for sale is one of his old trucks. As for Petters involvement in WRX nest year I do not know, but he hinted about something WRC related in 2017 on the WRC radio on friday.
