They need to focus on track resurface where the tracks are accurately able to convery the various bumps that unsettle cars as they are traversed. For example, drivers will attest that the strait that leads to turn 1 on COTA is very bumby and presents a challenge to braking and taking that corner successfully. All track bumbs need to be accurately represented in the game, not these smooth runoffs we get all the time.

Not for anything and in direct contravention to the tenor of this post, and having had each F1 Codemasters's game since 2015, this is the BEST F1 game Codemasters have produced to date, minor niggles notwithstanding, and I'm sure F1 2020 will be even bigger and better with not one, but TWO new track! Yikes - can't wait!

I don't think that F2 should be a regular staple of the Codemaster's F1 game, but the classic cars should remain. I would like to see F2 replaced with other surprise entrants such as "Classic F1 tracks" that includes Istanbul Park, or none at all for other surprise features.

Totally! I'd like to play the game before the Monaco GP if possible. Also it's better to have the game driving with some bugs than to not have the game at all, IMO. Ideally I'd like to see them release the game on the start of the F1 season, notwithstanding the cons.

OK, while we are all grateful for the early relsease date of this year's F1 game, I'm a bit dissapointed that the new Hanoi and Netherlands circuit races, new for 2020, will all have transpired by the time the game is released in June next year. Would it be asking to much to have the game released before the Monaco race in 2020, as I know it would be asking too much to have the game released befor the Netherlands, Zandvoort race. A pre-Monaco release date would be really nice!
For those of you confused, according the FIA F1 2020 schedule, the Honoi and Netherlands races are set for 5 April 2020 and 3 May 2020 respectively, this is way before the game is released at the end of June.

So yes it's a silly restricted track for modern cars and is only still on the calendar for considerable financial and marketing reasons.
The 1966 Movie "Grand Prix" staring Games Garner brings Monaco to life with actual footage in Monaco and Spa, et al - an EXCELLENT movie!

Hit the apex and keep it smooth but the AI blister through. I can still play it but winning means even in a top car I have to push harder than ever on the edge of total tyre destruction lol!
I did notice in Australia Kimi totally dominated, 5sec ahead on 2nd lap and going the entire race like that.. Got 2nd place but kimi was nowhere to be seen by lap 5.. But not had that before. There are the odd unusual bugs but still playable.Practice mate! Nothing comes easy in F1, especially Monaco. Do lap after lap in Time Trials, starting really slow, then buidling up speed as you go. Practice, Practice, Practice!

It takes a really long time to develop the speed and skill in the cockpit view required to properly negeotiate corners, I guess that's why most players shy away from it.

What is a good setup for the SF90 on Singapore? Will a balanced set up work?

If I understand what you're saying is to have as an option for certain lobbies - the cockpit view position. If this is so YESSSSSS. The cockpit or helmit view is the view racers race with, as they have no choice. So in competition events everyone SHOULD be restricted to Cockpit view, not a combination of this and other views that I call "cheat view" including the T-CAM which is a form of cheating because Like Chase View, the ulitmate cheat view, you have a purview of upcoming corners and can anticipate turn-in in more naturally than say, the cockpit view where line of site of the upcoming corner rumble strip and massive callibration skills are called into play to sucessfully negeotiate corners. The default view for all online e-sport racing should be cockpit view IMO with no assists - this would be reflective of how F1 drivers race. IMO there should only be two views in the game - the cockpit view cockpite and T-cam view with the only the Cockpit view for all competition races.

I don't see the need for this. The current option to remove the center piece from the halo, which obstrucuts the view of cars farther down the tarmac, especially in the rain, is sufficient. I had made this same case sometime last year for an option to make the halo invisible, but it was shut down my the Codemasters, who instead opted for the removal of the center stack only. Also, I beleive that since this is an officially sanctioned game, that the FIA has a weigh in on features of the game like this, and I'm sure they probably turned it down. As it stands now, I'm totally comfortable with the removal of the center stack, as the remainder of the halo in that configuration doesn't bother me at all.

There is not a whole lot for sale in the sport of F1 in reality, so why forzarize this game to begin with micro transactions?! The removal of team cars from multiplayer was a great way in excising content from the game to meet an earlier delivery date, but it also gave Codemasters the lattitude to be creative with car liveries and racing outfit satorial flair, given. But to charge someone 10% of what the game costs for such a combination is to me a bit excessive. Why can't we just use hard earned competition points for the purchase of said items?!!!

Like Nico Rosberg said in his youtube vlog "unrealistic" and after trying it out i agree with him. Your so called sim racer in charge is a joke. Unrealistic race weekends. A Ferrari driver doing a special race weekend on a old Williams for example. Never going to happen in real life. Relive Senna and Prost! With no actual moments to relive from that era. Or even a classic track to relive a moment in that era. Stupidity at its finest. What a gimmick. Formula 2! another gimmick, no matter how well or bad you do in the game you will advance to Formula 1 regardless. Formula 2=waste of time. The only thing i can say is that the graphics are looking okayish. Even then a regular xbox one struggles. Congratulations Codemasters. Dont know how you manage to make a game worst each year. i'll buy the game when i can find it used for 5 bucks. All its worth in my eyes.
Post the link where Nico comments on this game - thanks!

I have a feeling that the Albon to Redbull and Gastly to Torro Russo avatar switch in the game will not happen for F1 2019 as it requires tinkering with some architectural software visuals that's not worth the change at this time in the game's life cycle. Expect a posting to this effect following the summer break. This is a non-change that everyone should be able to live with - no problem here!

Nevermind Faya. I didn't realize I had to scroll down to be in the various game compartments. A consolidated topic approach similar to what we had in the old forums is a better approach. Sorry I took so long to reply, as I haven't been to this site in awhile.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get to the F1 discussion forums! LOL! Not very user friendly this!

Actually, these new forums are quite confusing compared to the old when, where we had discussions grouped instead of this helter-skelter presentation of all topics all over the place and not grouped. You need to group these discussions as you did in the last or you will lose patronage. I for one don't know here to look for F1 discussion anymore and as a result I hardly visit here anymore. So low grade on this new presentation.

So how is the gameplay in this game compared to the Forza Motorporot series? If you play Forza and F1 2019 - let me know how this game stacks up.
