  1. If you're playing on PC you can disable the rubber-banding. It disables saving, but they completely change the races (most of them become easier although some Touring Cars tracks are still bloody difficult to win on). I know, it was me who told you how to do that. ;) The lack of saving is a big problem. A single race just doesn't interest me as much as a championship. I just complete them normally on Noob difficulty then replay them with rubberbanding off (and AI on Very Hard) later on. The AI suck with rubber-banding off anyway :-/ I didn't test it much but it seemed like only Rav
  2. 4/10 Would be higher if not for the Return key next to "Select" on the screenshot.

  4. Losing interest in this game now. The rubber banding in career mode kills it for me. Between this, DiRT3 (still not had GFWL patched out of it) and GRID2 (a functional but utterly shit game) I think I'm done with CM.
  5. Yup, pretty idiotic game design really, but this game has much bigger problems so naturally this doesn't get many complaints.
  6. Not sure why this got moved from the DiRT forum into the GRID forum.
  7. Any progress on this? Is it still happening or what?
  8. Watched the video. You hit the back of him twice before "cleanly" overtaking him. Then he hit you. Then you went batsh!t mental. You have serious issues mate.
  9. Not a fan of the Focus TC personally. It gets the job done, I win (career) races with it, but it always feels sluggish and the front wheels really struggle to get traction (even compared to other FWD cars).
  10. I find the Cruze much easier to drive than the 320. Not saying the Cruze is faster, just easier to drive.
  11. Nope. On topic: depending on the event and situation, yes they can help, sometimes. A useless teammate starting in pole (reversed grid race) can be told to DEFEND and will slow down the pack for you. A competent teammate sitting in third can slow down the leaders if told to ATTACK. He may even overtake them, at which point he can be told to DEFEND and slow them down. To be honest though, these events are rare; mostly the teammates are just another car to pass.
  12. What I like: It's not robotic. It follows the line like a human, rather than like a machine. It blocks, it jostles for room, it makes tiny, tiny mistakes all the time and occasionally makes big mistakes too. Even Ravenwest sometimes spin out without any other cars near them, and the spin-outs look like organic mistakes rather than the canned animation mistakes of GRID1. What I don't like: The pit manoeuvre. It doesn't belong in an "authentic" racing game. It's completely illegal in real racing. I also don't like the rubber banding or the rather wide gap in performance between Ravenwest and eve
  13. HDR audio simulates a greater range of volume than your speakers normally produce by making normal sounds go quiet when a very loud sound is played. Similar to the way games simulate bright lights by making everything else on the screen go dark (HDR graphics). Useful for people who use headphones and people who don't want to damage their ears, but if you have large speakers cranked up to ear-damaging volume levels then I suppose you might as well turn it off.
  14. It's going to be a virtual mirror i.e. a rectangle at the top of the screen. I checked with @Loore already. Also the mirror is actually in the game right now and can be enabled with a tweak, but it's currently buggy.
  15. I didn't say it can't be done, I said it's not free. You add mirrors into a game that's already pushing the hardware to the limit, something else has to go. Agree it should have been prioritised at the start, but disagree it can be added now (to console).
  16. Yeah EGO does a bloody amazing job on PS360.
  17. Are you serious? You actually think mirrors can be rendered for free? Does the PS360 have a dedicated mirror rendering card I didn't know about?
  18. Yeah, textures. I think it's a big improvement. Obviously there's room for even further improvement, but there always is. Always.
  19. Anyone else notice the new high res cockpits on PC? They come with the free high res DLC. I could swear that last time I installed it, it only affected the exteriors of the cars. Anyway, thanks CM!
  20. Thanks for the insight! We'll stop patching then and move on to the next project then shall we? The rest of the Community that keep asking for patches would perhaps think otherwise :) There's still people playing the game, still new players coming into the game. I rarely have trouble finding a lobby, RaceNet challenge is full of times each week etc.  loore no disrespect but the last time you played this game was the 18th july according to your steam profile..so i would suggest you try again online and see if you get full lobbies,i disbanded my team of 22 players only last week and non
  21. Yeah those braking errors seem to be actual simulated mistakes, rather than bugs or bad coding.
  22. @TheKazzyMac‌  My favourite AI "accident" so far  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMlOkawrRbg&feature=youtu.be Fortunately events as extreme as this one have been few and far between, for me.
  23. Presumably these also don't feature in the career? @Loore
