  2. Supposedly this is some sort of mistake that will be fixed, though you have to wonder how they managed to make the same "mistake" on multiple content delivery platforms.
  3. I read about that. Great news. In the cockpit will it overlay the actual mirror or will it be a rectangle in the middle of the screen?
  4. In the absence of pit stops this should be an immediate forced retirement (or flashback, if it happens to the player and they have flashbacks). It's completely ridiculous having an AI car drive 20+ laps in a three wheeled roadblock.
  5. If the radio chap is blathering on about something and a crash happens ahead, he should interrupt himself to give the "caution" warning. Currently he does not. I just slammed into a Dallara F3 car that was parked on the apex of a 5th gear cresting bend - just over the crest. I had about thirteen nanoseconds to react. The pit dude didn't warn me because he was busy giving me a damage report that was out of date before he'd finished it. I have flashbacks set to zero. This should be a very simple fix, Codies. Any chance of it being patched?

  7. Yeah, that's why I don't like them!It's my hope that by the time I get bored of Street, Open Wheel and Touring I'll have gained enough skill to stand a chance in Endurance.Drift, on the other hand, I will always suck at.

  9. Plug in steering wheel.Go to options and turn in-car wheel OFF.Exit game.Unplug wheel.Restart game.No way to turn in-car wheel back ON.
  10. It varies a bit by car, but in general this works for me: Rev up to near the red line (but not actually hitting the limiter) and hold it there. When the lights turn keep holding that throttle for a moment, then when you get a bit of traction and forward movement, push harder. You want a little bit of wheel squeal as you accelerate, but not too much.
  11. Yeah I saw that Loore, just before I posted this thread. It's a bit vague, and the wording makes it sound like the SP content is a secondary thing, like "oh, and there's some SP stuff too". Guess I'll have to wait for "more info".
  12. Well it was worth checking. I dunno then, I keep up with them and I'm not some master driver. I'm on a gamepad, maybe the game has hidden assists for gamepad players?
  13. Before I buy a season pass I want to know whether it will be SP content. I only race offline, in career mode, so not interested in MP stuff nor in custom cup. I bought GRID2 in a bundle that contained all DLC and found that none of the DLC tracks were used in the career. Is it going to be the same with Autosport?
  14. Assists really slow you down in this game. ABS is not too bad but TC and SC are like having a gorilla sat on the roof. Turn on the racing line aid until you know the track, but be warned it's not perfect, so don't assume it always knows better than you.
  15. To anyone saying "an AI car cornered and/or pulled away faster than me in the same car" 1) They might have upgrades. GAS has upgrades you know. 2) Are you using assists? Because they slow you down. TC/SC/etc seriously cripples your cornering and straight line acceleration in this game.
  16. Difficult to score this game. The core is pretty solid but everything around it lacks effort. Tracks are copy pasted from GRID2, the cockpit cam is literally just the cockpit cam mod (!) for GRID2, every race every discipline it's the same six teams, same twelve drivers, music and menus are basic, functional (which I wouldn't mind normally but here it just adds to the feeling that you're playing a GRID2 mod). But the core, as I said, is solid. Great driving, great AI except for the problem of it rear ending you as if it somehow didn't see you, which I'm honestly starting to think is a bug beca
  17. I've seen Ravenwest finish in a wide variety of positions. About halfway through the last championship I played they were fourth in the team standings. FOURTH in the TEAM standings. Honestly I don't know what game half of you are playing with all this talk of cheating superpowered rubber banded lead AI. Sorry to be a dick about this but did you ever consider that maybe you just suck and need practice?
  18. Thanks for the reply. Strange that in a forum full of people who reckon they know about racing, nobody seems to have noticed this.
  19. Yeah, you have to give the other cars space on the corners if they try to dive inside. RL racing line rules don't apply for whatever reason - on ANY corner, but the problem is most noticeable on the first corner. Of course it works both ways - you can barge down the inside too, and not get penalised.
  20. Also, the AI in this game does NOT simply run along the racing line like a railway. People throwing this particular complaint are talking pure bollocks.
  21. Some people are complaining about rubber banding but I'm not seeing any in career mode. I've noticed that sometimes - not always - the race leader will get a bit quicker when I get close to him, but not a lot quicker, and this could conceivably be a personality trait (IRL I imagine some drivers perform best when chasing, some when being chased, some when they've got space). I'm playing on Very Hard. If there is rubber banding here then it's certainly a lot less pronounced than it was in GRID1. I'm also not seeing any obvious cases of AI superpowers.
