If D4 will be everything that @KickUp says it's gonna be, honestly... nope. I only see me going back to DR in a couple of years, or more, when i will get tired of D4 :p

"  What made you want to try an offroad game? We took this decision for several reasons. First of all, there are currently a lot of good rally games already available, so we didn’t want to saturate the market. " LOLOL saturate the market my *** More like: " Well, you know... When it comes to loose surface Games, CodeMasters " are the man ", we can't achieve the awesomeness of DiRT Rally, and we heard they gonna release an even better, more fleshed out Rally/Off-Road game so, since we can't compete against them, we gonna try our chances against Playground/ Turn 10 " :p http://www.redbull.com/en/games/stories/1331847214461/gravel-milestone-interview

It's beyond me how Milestone it's still on the Market. I don't wish them nothing bad, more Studios doing Racing games, better for us all, but really puzzles me how they keep doing money to keep the Studio a float, and still have cash to invest on new IP's/Games. It can't be from the ( crappy and full of bugs ) games they had been releasing... right? As example, SLRE has ~17000 owners on Steam, and theirs last games Metacritic scores are a sad thing to watch, averaging ~65. This is something i already gave some thought and really puzzles me... Btw, " new " Off-Road game on the way http://www.teamvvv.com/en/news/comments/Baja-Edge-of-Control-to-be-given-HD-re-release

Doing that isn't smart, it's stupid... They better NOT DO something like that. There's already some unhappy people because of the i20 R5 Pre-Order "bonus", if they do Day 1 dlc, we all know what all Community ( not just some ) will say about/against Codies. Let's just hope they learn from this Pre-Order " mistake " so, it will not happen again, in the future.

They get the award for the most original IP name!! I'm sure they had to think for months, for such a singular name. /sarcasm P.S. - I LoL'ed reading the IP name

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

You guys have exponentially raised the bar with Rally gaming.  Look how many studios have tried (and failed) to jump on the bandwagon since D:R EA. In typical Rally fashion - Keep pushing lads!!  B) I couldn't agree more. There's always room for improvement, but imo, Codies hitted the jackpot with DR ( and F1 2016 ) handling/physics, and they are leading the way, in how it's done. They achieved the right balance between hardcore and casual play, without compromises. D4 will rise the bar even more, i'm sure. Just look how the other Dev's/Studios are trying to copy Codies handling. Simbin UK openly praised Codies handling, and even said they gonna try to achieve the same, for theirs new GTR 3 game. The handling is great, but another factor that is contributing for this success, is how Codies started listen and getting the Community much more involved with the games ( EA, calling VIP's to gather feedback, etc ).

It 'should' be able to cope ok. Get a better GFX card if you can to get the biggest improvements. One of the things you guys are know is for always delivering well optimised games so, i'm not "worried" with what system requirements D4 will have, even owning a 2 years old PC ;)

Citroen needs to improve, and quickly, if they wanna battle for Championship wins. Biggest disappointment, till now. Gratz to Latvala and Toyota ( thank god Ogier didn't win :p ). Bring on México!!

@KickUp Not sure if this was asked already... The cars will have any kind of upgrades, in D4? I found a bit silly, how the car upgrades worked in DR ( very Arcade ), apart of being a grind ( drive X Kilometers, unlock Y ).  It's probably, more complicated to simulate, and get it right, but i'd like to see a system where we upgrade/buy better Turbos, Differentials, Brakes, Exhausts, etc. Parts will upgrade durability not performance. So they will perform at their best for longer.  That sounds much, much better than what we had in DR. Thanks a lot ;)

Geez... Again? Neuville's cursed or What? :( Tomorrow it will be a hell of a battle for 1st place, with 16 seconds separating the first 3. Both Latvala and Tanak deserves to win, but most likely it will be Ogier again. We will see how tomorrow turns out...

    2020 FIA World Rally Championship

Few months ago, who would say that Toyota would be doing much better than Citroen, in the first 2 events? Championship just started, but i'm really disappointed with Kris ( and Citroen ), so far. Too much D4, i guess :p Neuville seems the Driver with more confidence, at this point, and if he keeps going like this, through the Championship ( without any major mistakes ), we might have a new Champion, this year. Also, Hyundai seems the quickest car, from all.

I only brought Porsche brand to the discussion from a business point of view, and what the Brand can ( potencialy ) bring to D4, and DiRT Franchise, being more value/prestigious and Sales, but i agree with you. Porsche isn't exactly well know by Rally, but by Circuit Racing. If you ask me if i'd like to have a 911 in D4, my answer would be yes, but much more important than Porsche, it's Toyota, and what represents to Rally History... and it's missing. Toyota is the Brand i'd go after. By the way, @KickUp, is it possible to have a Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, instead of the Renault 5 Turbo?

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Getting Porsche onboard, with the 911, would add tons of value to D4, and DiRT Franchise. Just inagine the Community, and Racing News websites reaction, with Codies saying " We will have a Porsche in D4 "... Till Porsche isn't a common thing, in games, having them onboard, can potencialy make more sales, even more because no one has, or will have ( i think ), a Porsche Rally car. Altough, i would like to have an Impreza S4 / S5 WRC, much more, than the 911 :D

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

A Gamer is a person who plays games. A Sim Racing player is a Gamer but hell no, if they want to be called Gamer :p Imo, the best choices would be " Normal " and " Simulation ", exactly how they had in the Event. There's a lot of Elitism, in the Racing Community so, you need to be careful to not " upset " anyone, and/or give reasons to one or another ( Casual/Console and PC/Sim Players ) to make fun, from each other. Different times, but even GTR 2 had " Normal " and " Simulation ", 11 years ago...

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

@KickUp I think i already asked/suggested this some pages back, but i'll do it again :p  Can we, please, have some thing like Cortextual Telemetry Tool, on screen ( with ON/OFF option )? Like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJxPkCvgzlo And as a heads up... - Give to ( analog ) Handbrake Settings, Deadzone and Saturation settings. It's missing in DiRT Rally. - Move pop-up Split Times to Left/Right/Up side of screen. In DiRT Rally, is in the middle of screen, or almost... Oh, can we have more sliders on Sound Settings? I mean, Engine, Skid/Tires, Enviroment/Crowd, Exhaust, Gravel/Stones that hit bottom of the car, etc, etc

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

I'm quite surprised about the WRC License. I already said many times, i'm not a fan of "re-skinned" games, every year, and where there's no development freedom... but depends of the deal. I, most likely, would buy a WRC game, made by Paul and all team, with DR/D4 handling, with historic Rally cars/ eras ( Group B, Group A, etc ) and with the Track Tool to keep me busy, after memorising all the reall Stages... but would i buy this "same" game every year? Probably not... Unless the game would be "re-invented" every year, to keep things interesting and fresh. I imagine that most of Community would be very happy to see Codies getting the WRC License, there's bazillions of posts, around the Web, asking them for that to happen, but how many of them would keep buying the game, year after year, if it was always the "same" game?
