DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Gamepad handling / feeling, in AC, might be not so good as how Codies do in theirs games, but it's playable. What's really bad is the chase cams. When most of console players use these cams ( i guess ), Kunos should have done a better job, if they are exactly how it's in PC. When there's people that say that chase cams in DR aren't quite good, that same people should try them in AC.

Not DiRT related but seems Kunos is having a hard time with AC Console release. A not smooth as butter release that's the worst that could happen, on top of game not having Custom Servers, lack in content ( comparing with GT and Forza ) and a no flashy career. Also, Codies seems to be the only Dev that know the formula of how to make a Racing game run at 60 FPS on Consoles. Kunos took a big, big risk taking AC to Consoles

Yep. This is very unlikely. There will be a... 'purpose'.  Corsega confirmed!!

That thing was OP, you could have a 2 minute lead by the end of the track :D The handling was arcade but a lot of fun. I think if CM are ever going to sell the same number of copies that Dirt 3 sold again they need to make the handling more accessible, or at least build a more accessible layer over the top of the sim handling (which should be easier than the other was round). I love Dirt Rally and I love the handling challenge, but it was/is never going to be a mainstream game that sold bucketloads because of the difficulty level.  With Evo Studios joining Codies, they can have both of the worlds now, Arcade games and Sim games. If i was in charge of Codies, i'd put half the studio doing Arcade games and the other half working on Sim's :P Just don't do an arcade DR next, leave that name / IP to offer only a "hard-core" experience.

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

When Christina said " We can't say anything because of NDA's ", this was the first thing that came to my mind... WRC License. Now, in some way, that would be great but, in other hand, having a Rally game where there's limits to what Dev's can do ( needs to be a game most directed to casual gamers ) and an Annual release game, where most of the times, the newer game in series is just a reskin of the previous one, without much improvements, i'm not sure if the WRC License would be of any good. It looks to have way more Cons than Pros to what i would like the next game to be, and what seems to be the new direction that Codies are taking with theirs games, much more focused on offering realistic gameplay ( a.k.a. more Sim focused ). I still think they don't need the WRC License to do a great Rally game ( DR proved that ), they just need a bigger budget and, probably, more manpower to work on the game.

Christina said: " We can't tell you what we're working on because of NDAs, and because there's also a plan for telling you guys what we're working on taking shape! It's absolutely not the case that we don't want to... But our hands are tied. For now. " What NDA's might be? You guys think they might got hold of some license?

An Assetto Corsa business model thing, with new dlcs once in awhile, and with ongoing development / tweaking, adding new features to the game, was always what i wanted for DR sequel. An huge Rally / Off-Road Platform, with many disciplines. To be done right, they need a Game Engine that can support "next-gen" features, like dynamic tracks / terrain deformation, dynamic weather, day / night cycle, tyre degradation, etc, and Ego doesn't seem to be able to do that, unless they do a massive upgrade to it. Ohh... and they need a proper anti-cheat. This should be one of the top priorities for them.

This is only speculation, but one of the cars that we might get in Modern Masters pack is Ford Focus '06, the one that had the BP Ultimate - Castrol - Abu Dhabi Livery ( or similar ). I'm saying this because there's a Ford BP Ultimate "thing", on the DR License/Sponsors page, and there's BP Ultimate banner's/outdoors at the start of some stages. This car would belong to the 2000s Class, no? Maibe when they said it will be a new Class, not all the cars that will come with the pack, will belong to the new Class, might be 3 cars from a new Class and 2 cars from existing ones... Or everything i just said is completly wrong =P
