Make the gear indicator a separate part in the custom screen setup
Getts0388 posted a topic in Suggestions
If you could please make it so we can just relocated the gear indicator as separate entity so that we can move it to the lower center of the screen & leave the remainder of mfd on the lower right. This way we can move it into a better position for a quicker look . Also bring back the throttle position as a green circle around the gear display. It was much easier to control/see than the the bar/squares we have now. Or make it so we can move the entire display to the lower center of the screen and the pop-up portion still remain on the lower right corner so it does not block our views when activated. This way we could keep a better eye on fuel & ers system info, to be able to focus more on the track. At places like Monaco, we don’t have a lot of times to be looking for this info. By the time you refocus on the track, you have over-shoot the next braking point. As I use to rotary switches for fuel/ers setttings & sometimes go too far, I need to verify I’m in the correct setting frequently. I want to have this info more in my line of sight to same time. Please. -
@BarryBL Thank you for the response. It is extremely bothersome for me as the weekly events are my favorite mode. I switched to the CM F1 series in hopes of finding good multiplayer racing as GT sport was/is filled with dive- bombers and rammers. I thought a fragile F1 car would provide me with the clean multiplayer racing I was looking for. I was wrong but I am still enjoying it far more than GT sport. Thanks again!

@rogiecraigson i am only guessing here. Since F1 is racing a real GP this week, CM is providing us with a GP event. I would guess that the next weekend that F1 is off, the better the chances of seeing a featured event. CM has always tried to have GP events during real F1 race weekends and featured events on off weekends. This year is somewhat of an oddball for events as we in a very odd year of for the F1 schedule due to the virus. Hang in there, I’m sure there will be one. As I hate featured events, I’m not looking forward to them myself. I prefer to race GP events, against real players, not the AI. I don’t care how well I preform compared to the AI but other real players. Featured events are equal to re-spawning shooter games. I quit playing them because everything turned into a run & gun with no skill in trying to stay alive. Our scores should be voided if we rerun a featured event just as the GP events. Featured events are lame, to me. Good luck on the track!

Are you in casual or standard mode? I think casual defaults to auto-trans.

Just sitting thinking about the guy with the 559,366 points at Monza on PS4 or whatever his score was (I don’t remember exactly) , he would have had been doing something like a 40 second lap for all 13 laps to get a score like that. CM should be able to spot either a cheater or inaccurate score like this in a second if they simply looked into it & did the math. They know that we get a set amount of points for certain areas of our scores & the biggest variable is time to complete the entire event. CM simply has to do a better job policing the scores if they want us to believe that we are all being scored fairly. It took me less then a second to realize that the guy in the number 1 spot at 8am this morning, is not legit. Over double the score of second place, please. Impossible. CM could simply delete any suspicious scores, inform the perpetrator that their score has been deleted & they are now flagged. Then also inform them that if they continue to have suspicious scores, they will be temporary banned from events or permanently banned. Something CM!!!

Belgian GP Weekly Event inquiry
Getts0388 replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
@BarryBL can you please let us know if other players had the issues in my above post, please. We are curious if we were the only ones missing points or if it affected everyone. -
Belgian GP Weekly Event inquiry
Getts0388 replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Description: I ran the Spa weekly event several times last week and never received points for the "Assist Bonus". Also, the scoring display shows me using no assist when I know for a fact I had ABS on and TC set to medium. I would have never had finished a lap if these were really turned off. I'm not that good. I do know of one other person who did not receive their assist bonus either and they run the events with no assists. Platform: PS4 Game mode: Weekly Event Race Reps: I raced at least 2 or 3 races on Saturday and only one on Sunday (Sunday's result pictures below). Trouble shooting: raced a few times and cycled power on PS4. Peripherals: Thrustmaster T-GT wheel base with Thrustmaster add-on Ferrari F1 wheel with Thrustmaster BT-LED display with Open-wheeler sim chair with Butt-kicker and table for beer. Screen Shots: Attached Beer Quantity: Stopped counting years ago. -

@SlimeKing a couple things here 1) you are in the F1 2019 section of the forum. Go to the F1 2020 section. 2) fill out a proper bug report as directed at the top of the F1 2020 tech section. You may have better luck with CM correcting the issue this way.

What goes through a new player’s mind before joining a weekly event. By Leon
Getts0388 posted a topic in F1 Chat
I was wondering what goes through a new player’s mind when looking at joining a weekly event. 1. Will I cause any other players to lose points by joining this weekly event without any practice? New player’s answer to himself: I don’t care, F them 2. If I jump the start, should I just stop in front of the entire field, then start again still in front of the real leaders? : sure, I should do this. I’ve already screwed my time up, why not screw everyone else. 3. After I have ruined my race should I continue to ruin everyone else’s race?: for sure. I’ll just stay out of the pits until everyone else has pitted & continue to hold up the faster players. Just a few thoughts that must be going through these guys who are new to how a timed weekly event should be played. oh yeah #4 4. Should I ruin everyone else’s race & quit on the last lap. Absolutely, now that I’ve ruin my score, why not everyone else! -

I got hung up behind both start jumpers & late pitters in both Spa & Silverstone events this past weekend. Only for them to quit towards the end of the race. I lost valuable seconds in both events due to them not giving the much faster car a clear pass. When it comes to these events, we all should be working together to help each other with tows in straights & pitting to not block each other. If you really just want to win a race, weekly events are not the best place to race. -
I wish they would give you control of it.

@Mike5500 its those dam Canadians ruining TT mode😇

Can I at least get the points for not using assist instead of zero points??? This would make up for being overran every time on the first corner of the Spa event this weekend & losing a ton of time.

Bug reporting for faulty time trial
Getts0388 replied to AdrianLennon's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Now that you have submitted a proper bug report, let’s see if it goes to the developers. Please be patient in waiting on CM to respond. I believe you are having a valid issue as I myself have had it too. Just not in the past few days because I’ve settled on a car setup for this weeks event and not needing to go through the menu as much. -
by design no higher than level 30

@BarryBL thanks for the quick reply. Now I know the answer & hopefully others who are also wondering about this, will see this. -
by design no higher than level 30
Getts0388 replied to RPenders's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
@BarryBL While we are on this subject, can you let us know what happens to all the points we accumulate once we hit level 30? Will we receive credit for them once the next series of the Podium Pass is released or do they not count and are voided? Sorry, but I am very curious as I have been at level 30 for a few weeks now. -
@janbonator I agree with you, it's not a big deal for me either. It just seemed to me if I gave it time to load everyone's times, then started to move between screens/menus the issue appears less frequently. As for wall riding, I've also seen it at Manaco.
-
I find that if I give it enough time when I open the menu to properly load before I start pressing buttons, all is fine. The problem only appears if I start pressing buttons before all the times load. However @Ultra3142 is 100% correct, a bug report must be properly submitted before we can expect a fix. It's not an issue if you display some self control and wait for the times to load.
-
Never though you were mad, just a lot of people get hostile when you have a different opinion then them. What you about the PlayStation Plus membership is a valid reason to me. Thanks for the reply.
-
@Ultra3142 Please don't get mad at me! Where do you think time trail mode should be, solo or multiplayer modes? I only ask this because to me a featured event is nothing more than a multi-lap TT that we receive a score on based mostly on time. In TT mode we are list by time and you must be online to have it count, I believe? Therefore this leads me to my question to you above. TT mode would appear in what you call "online" mode. Again, please don't get mad at me. I know that you are well versed in this game and have a going understanding how it works. As I see it, "solo" is single player mode or carrier mode or even campaign mode and "multiplayer" mode is numerous live players at the same time playing against each other. I just don't feel a featured event is an multiplayer version of racing. What I was really trying to get CM to do for us is to give us a multiplayer GP race every week. Also to run two different featured events a week to give us more options and to make sure we can race real people every weekend. I vaguely remember at some point last year we had three featured events in a row and I almost went nuts because I was unable to race against real people for weeks. I know this is my own fault due to myself imposed ranked room racing ban. Please take care and may you see many checkered flags!
-
@BarryBL How about moving featured events to solo mode and give us a new featured event every 3.5 days. This way everyone has a few days to post a score. That would be 104 featured events a year, Between all of the 2020 F1 and F2 cars, the classic cars, all tracks and weather conditions CM would be able to mix it up for us to generate all 104 events. Then give us a 2020 GP or classic GP in multiplayer mode every week. This way we have the featured events to fill the time when we have either finished the weekly event practice sessions, qualifying and running races on the weekends. I've said this before, a featured event is NOT multiplayer mode and should not be in this mode. They should be classified as solo mode. Sorry, but I really hate the featured events and not being able to race against other real players. I can race against the AI anytime. Thank you for everything you do for us and taking the time to read this.

Not enough info to make an accurate call. What happened in the right handed corner before that aloud Ocon to get his nose under you going into to the left corner?? Did you give him an opportunity to get a run on you? Should you have given him at least a car width lane if he fairly got to the inside of you entering the left??? I would rather they push hard than back out out of corners when side by side, personally. Just one mans take on this with minimal info.

Should "Featured" weekly events be classified as "Solo" or "Multiplayer" modes??
Getts0388 posted a topic in F1 Chat
All, I am a huge fan of both 2020 GP and classic GP weekly events, which I do consider "multiplayer" mode due to us real players racing against each other on the weekends. Then we have the "Featured" events that are also classified as "multiplayer" mode, which at no point do we ever race against real players. Does anyone agree with me that these "featured" events should be moved to "Solo" game play mode? Time Trial is not in the "multiplayer" mode and is basically the same as a featured event. The biggest portion of the score is based on the overall time it takes to complete the event. To me it's just a time trial where we are racing against the AI. I would love to see featured events moved to it's proper place in "Solo" mode and for us to be given either a 2020 GP or classic GP every week under the "multiplayer" mode. This way every week we can get an "featured" event and a GP race. They should never be at the same track during the same week. This way every week we can run a real "multiplayer" race and fill the down time when not practicing, qualifying or racing a GP event with the featured event. I'm sorry but it just bothers me so much that a featured event is under multiplayer and it is not. I have banned myself from "ranked" rooms for the past two plus years due to getting so mad when I am punted off the track by someone who believe rubbing is racing. Hence the reason I retired from GT sport. I though that by racing in an f1 car, everyone will have to respect one another to not damage their car, boy was I wrong. Anybody else dislike the featured events as much as me? Good luck to everyone on the track and take care.
