It feels good. Racenet issues but meh, day 1 isn't it? I'm struggling with pace at the minute but having a blast. The stages are narrow, technical, quick in places. Wonderful. Gave RX a blast and have no idea about Barcelona's layout so kept buggering up but that's fun too.

In my team, in the initial championships you are running at the back of the order.

Yea I'm enjoying FWD at the moment. Like reaaallly shocked initially. Lancia fulvia + rutted stages = turn the self aligning torque down! Real challenge, felt like I was genuinely rallying in the muddy 60s. It is brilliant. Well done testers. Well done Codies.

Under an hour to go 😍
-
Yea but quite why you'd want to do that when there's a perfectly good rally game included, I'll never know.

In other news......

You need to try Birmingham. There's now 3 coffee shops for every one person in kingsheath/Moseley and they all do filter, cold-something-or-other fancy pants coffee.
-
Yea it's a cheeky little surprise from those codemasters marvels. Hoping there's some real career tire choice dilemmas to come.
-
Good news pal, though I'm secretly hoping you don't get to play before I do.

Why? My Finnish has slipped a bit recently.......or Dutch, or whatever it is. My translation is " the best selling van with dirt rally 2.0 has left the bar and the door on the bestselling annual motorway. 11 excuses here forth" am I close?

Midnight in your region mate. So for me in the UK it's in precisely 35 hours and 17 minutes.....i think

I believe there's a video coming today. A DiRT show. Which will be nice.

Don't try and defend yourself now, you're an elitist, part of the bourgeoisie and a scourge on this community. Vive le Rèvolution!

If those beanies come as merch I'm gonna cry wooly tears of joy. I want I want I want.

genuinely gutted for you there. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I believe the community members in question were very quick in the previous games, and very knowledgeable, and able to describe in a concise manner issues with the handling. It's a shame you feel like you don't want to play because other people are already playing. Seems like you're just losing out yourself there. Hope you change your mind.

Hey man. Every game that gets released is given out to reviewers and influential streamers, that's just a fact, even if some of them are absolute sausage rolls. As for community members, some of the most involved (pc) players were involved in dialling in the handling model so we can have a more complete and rounded experience come release, there isn't any favoritism there, just a strong move by codemasters to ensure a better customer experience. Don't let very ordinary marketing strategies get in the way of you enjoying what looks to be the best rally title to date. Suck it up, wait a couple of days and get driving. Doesn't look like you'll regret it.

Genuinely amazed by the pace of @dgeesi0 , hoping I can get somewhere remotely close at some point. Check out his YouTube. I'll show you a calmer side on Friday 😂
-
Yep I'm particularly looking forward to reviewers referring to stage runs as 'laps'. And getting the stage degradation system wrong.

Yea might've been. I know Burns was using it in 01 but I couldn't remember if it was peugeot first or not. I remember the peugeot one more distinctly is all. Well found.
-
Paddles were being used in the early 2000s too. Was the 206 one of the first? Think so. It was a sort of push pull ring, not a paddle per-se, but it was on the steering wheel.

Take a lot more than a fancy hair pin to make that thing look pretty though.
