My patience is slow at the end and I'm annoyed

Codemasters has sold an unfinished game!
Every week a new patch promises new every week they make the game better and what is then outweighed in the patch? Engine sound and livieries and if PC owners already have the latest DLC but console owners still wait until now I'm right furious

Think they only have a tiny memory budget for little effects and Easter eggs, if I understand correctly. Looks good though.

Hi all, so, some sad news for you - today is my last day at Codemasters. I just wanted to say thanks for all the gossip, speculation, support, and everything in between; it's been an absolute pleasure serving you as your Community Manager for the last 3.5 years, and our DiRT games are all the better for having you all involved. It's incredibly bittersweet leaving, but I just wanted to come here and say, very sincerely: thanks for everything. No other words cover it, except thank you.

I hope you guys have enjoyed the latest announcement for GRID, and while I'm super chuffed that it was one of the last things I got to work on, my heart will always belong to DiRT. Just know there are so many cool things in store for DiRT Rally 2.0... I'm really looking forward to being on the other side of all the cool announcements and content drops. I'll see you all on the leader boards (albeit quite low down!)

    All the best,
    Christina

This is terrible news. You've been absolutely superb throughout, and there's some huge-normous shoes to fill. Best of luck for the future!

The video i posted here it didnt look very smooth. Little bumps seemed pretty prominent.

I'm sure you can find bumpy roads in Spain, and I can find smooth roads in Argentina. It's just GENERALLY speaking, it's very smooth. Especially the stage they've re created.

How Codemasters handles its customers !!!!!!!
First cash my money and then let it wait🤬

Dude, with you, it's nothing but ridiculous complaints and demands. They aren't even reasonable anymore. Just moronic, angry trolling. Chill out for goodness sake.

Weve seen rl vids of Spains tarmac rallies though and it is pretty bumpy...2.0 its like a freshly laid piece of road made of cloud.

Generally speaking, Spanish tarmac is known to be race track smooth, and flowing roads. Germany is a significantly different ball game, variations in sealed surface and dusty/dirty areas.

  6. I was heading for the wrc 8 pre order band wagon. Why would anyone want it to fail? That being said, WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON WITH THAT CODRIVER.

That is genuinely the only thing that might completely render me unable to buy the game.

Well I must confess I was a little disappointed to see what appeared to be the DiRT 3/DiRT 4 rallycross RS200 in the thumbnail image, however there are some signs that the model has been refined, so I am back to being excited for it to arrive again!

They wouldn't dare urinate upon your cornflakes again. You'll get your shopping trolley DUN RITE!

hmmm, with wreckfest on gravel there is almost no deadzone...........   so the fault is not my wheel

Meh I dunno then, I know there's a hardware source deadzone on the g29, it's on the interweb, and I felt it most noticeably with d1 and d4 though I put that down to it being a rally game, you need that central ffb most with a rally game due to the surface. I can't speak for wreckers as I've never driven it, however I just know it's a known hardware negative

who else is having this problem???    i state that calibration is right and deadzone is set to 0, profiler don't  have any parameters exept degrees and center spring.

in other driving games this not happening so it's not  my wheel fault

I know the g29 does have a natural deadzone issue with ffb due to the geared drive. It's not so noticeable on circuit games due to it not being an overly reactive surface. It's the reason I got rid of mine.

Yes, yes and more yes! Looking forward to seeing all of that.

(Minor point: I wonder what other liveries the Focus has, as I am not keen on that one in the video)

Obviously they couldn't nail an official one for this, shame as the BP livery looks great on the ford. The old Stobart one would do great aswell

Well everyone else but me seems to be having a grand ol time with the controller. I recently played Grid 2, Dirt Showdown... shudder..., Burnout Paradise, Flatout 2, and when I go to my buddies house I play Forza 7 and the Horizon games and have zero issues in any of those. I don't know what it apparently is about my setup, but I hate the way DR2 plays with a pad and I frankly find it boring and... easy... (maybe there WAS a secret physics change :classic_unsure:)with a wheel. Haven't played it much as a result.

I mean, okay, I haven't tried Sweden with a wheel, but I tried a daily or weekly on it with a controller and it was bloody awful. Monte was... okay. Manageable at least.

Hey, I think @PJTierney has some controller setup ideas that can make it feel better and more natural.

Yo! His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy

There's vomit on his sweater already: Mom's spaghetti

He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready

To go full-on, but he keeps on forgetting

What they wrote down, the copilot starts to shout

He opens the gas, but the turns won't slow down

He's rolling, how? Everybody's joking now

    The clock's run out, rear's flat, over—blaow!

Crash back to reality, ope there's moon gravity, ope

There goes radiator, it's holed, he's so mad but he won't

Give up that easy, no, he won't have it, he knows

His whole car's off the road, the rear door is all gone

There's nothing left that's not broke, it's all f****d up, he knows

When he goes back to the mobile service, that's when it's

Back to the crew again yo, this whole rollcage

Better be repaired in a moment and hope it resists

Superb effort. You have both my respect, and my gratitude.
