If we are talking about MP can we also get a "ready" option after each stage that all players can check to expedite the process of moving on? Seriously, spending 30 seconds after everyone finished a stage gets old fast when you have a decent lobby of drivers who always race together. We're normally ready to move on 5 seconds after the last finishes, we don't need to wait around. Then when an event ends, you've got something insane like a 60 second wait. WHY?! Seriously, why isn't there an option to just move on to the lobby/next event? Why do we need to sit there staring at useless info for 60 seconds?

Times aren't considered "validated" until the end of the first event. So the M2 won't be in the garage until next Tuesday.

honestly as much of a **** as I'll sound... I'm totally ok with this. Most of the masses that went to the Occulus version I'd much rather never hear from again - or see in any of my lobbies/championships either.

It seems like that last patch wasn't consistent for everyone. I don't know if this is 100% true, as CM would need to verify, but I do know a few people who were talking about a 9gb patch back with 1.8, while others talked about a 4.5gb update. So it sounded like a few people were getting the full patch while others were getting a half patch (and I think one of those full patch players was a beta tester)

That's exactly what I was thinking!! A 2nd track using the warehouse as a joker would be awesome. Maybe have the main circuit loop around the warehouse counterclockwise, then have the Joker entry use the southern entrance but have to take a right inside the warehouse and exit the east garage doors to rejoin? Then hit the big jump and loop all the way back around. Wait scratch that, maybe main circuit is through warehouse and out the north door, while joker is all the way around the warehouse before linking back up?? Still want to find a way to use that donut ring at the top of the map, or the airstrip (??) up the narrow little path on the southern side.

Just playing around in DirtFish I could keep the tires spinning in full hoonigan drift mode all the way through 5th gear. It was just nuts. Literally started spinning the wheels on spawn in, and was still spinning them as I entered the warehouse, 20 seconds later. The car is just an absolute beast and does whatever the hell you tell it to.

Yes, and yes if the host has the DLC. And yes the rig is a little off-balanced... but the frame was bought with intent to go DD + LC pedals. Which I just hit my goal for, buying myself a new set of HE Sprints + HE shifter and the Accuforce v2. Want to save up a bit more padding so I don't fully drain the account, but planning on having all my toys before Christmas!

I've been wanting this for a long time. I loved having the other layouts to mix into MP events because half the time you'd catch people sleeping and assuming it was the full circuit But all the things listed have been mentioned on these forums somewhere I think. PJ says it is something no one has really asked for/talked about yet... the suspense is killing me!

Well you don't want all of the community events to be DLC only or a lot of people couldn't play. Besides you need to look at more than the rally stages - how many are DLC content? Be it new car class or new rally stages - normally we have 4+ challenges that use DLC content.

😕 I definitely have been doing daily events in Wales + Monte recently, and I know I just took the top spot in the Sweden Daily Group B [RWD] the other day. So the new stages and cars are definitely in the community events. I will totally agree the 6 event limitation from My Team is nonsensical. I understand most people probably don't want a 12 stage - 12 event championship, but at least give us the option for Custom Championship in My Team where we can choose to do that!!! (And make sure it lets us do 2 stage - 2 event one-offs too when we don't have a ton of time)

I've been saying the same thing all week. Easily my new favorite car in the class. Take it down that Germany stage with the epic downhill mega-jump; I hit 141mph at takeoff in the 01 stock.

I will have to disagree with you on this one. I've been using the unlock glitch on the 01 Focus for the last couple weeks now and the car is an absolute monster. I easily pick it before the 07 every single time and the car screams around the stages. I am not an AM/Pro driver or anything but I hold my fair share of WR's and feel confident in saying I could easily pace my 07 WRs with the 01. Now is it faster/quicker? I don't know for sure, honestly I'm too lazy to test it with the tools I have. Maybe the 07 with the right tune is a bit faster, but I don't see the 01 acting like the Subi does in the class - being the outcast that no one likes to drive cuz it is so slow. The 01 is an absolute champ and I will be racing it in the majority of my online events/lobbies.

Just one more reason we need the ability to make multi-class, whitelist only, clubs/events.

Oh yeah, anything can happen for sure - that is exactly why in my clubs I make everyone drive 5+ stages between service stops! Much much harder and more room for people to mess up. I don't mind ranks either, but I can't see them being used for more than just an icon/indicator of skill. I don't see how ranks could be used in game to make better competition. I could definitely see it for Clubs or Championships made by users outside of the game, that is actually something we tried to make happen for our club. We wanted an "amateur" and "pro" tier where you couldn't be in the pro club unless you finished top 20 in amateur, and the slowest pro drivers were relegated at the end of the season. Something like this would be PERFECT for ranks, so we could make user-championships based on rank!

So you are thinking of a system that shows something like @diogotilim has 3500MMR [1st place in Tier 1] @UnderclassGDfan has 3000MMR [1st place in Tier 2] @Mike Dee has 2500MMR [1st place in Tier 3] I guess I get that, but I don't see how that adds much value. Like sure, it could be nice looking at the daily and seeing "ok I got 12th but the people I lost to are 1000MMR better than me so I did really well" - but that is the only thing I can see for ranks. Your 2nd possibility sounds like too much clutter and a way to make people mad they can't enter 4 out of the 5 dailies because their rank is too low/high. It has custom championship. That is very different than matchmaking. Matchmaking is like CSGO ranked or anything like that - people queue up and wait for Codemasters to create a championship we have no control over with people we can't pick. As of now you can only see who is hosting a lobby. That is very different. And multiplayer is already empty enough that filtering based on rank would make it even harder to find a match. I join anything I can find at this point, does not stop me if the host can beat 100% AI or if the host loses to 50% AI. Like I said earlier, I think ranks could be useful but Dirt Rally does not have anything to use them with. They would need to completely redo the entire multiplayer system to make ranks useful.

Did we get confirmation on this? I thought it was just setup bug + spare tires promised for 1.8 with a chance of the damage by hooligans between stages being fixed as well. -
I want to say D2/D3 had it as well - you would see some standing in the middle of the road and sprinting back to jump the guardrail as you went screaming passed them. I also think CM said they aren't doing that anymore as it gave the higher ups a lot of stress trying to make sure it'd be impossible to have players go "GTA" on the crowds

What facts though? Other games use rank? Good, they have a system to do something with the rank. We don't have any system to use ranks in Dirt Rally. What would rank do in Dirt? Would it change what the "top tier" is for your daily event? Would it change the "bottom tier" too? This is what you haven't explained yet. Tell me how ranks would be used. You say it will "balance" but how. Explain it, how would your ranks change what happens when I sign in to My Team? What level though? Dirt Rally does not have matchmaking. So what are you balancing? I don't see how the ranks could be used to split drivers. They would need to add an entirely new community event structure to use ranks. EVERYTHING we currently have in multiplayer would need to be thrown away.
