What cars do we want to see in a future DIRT Rally game?
richie replied to F2CMaDMaXX's topic in DiRT Rally Series Suggestions
I think there's not a single plausible argument in this version of the universe to just 'let go' of cars that have already been added to the roster. -
The reference shouldn't be another game that was made many moons ago, the reference should be real life. Watch rally or motor racing in general, cars drive much better IRL.

I think the idea of adding a H1 RWD is great. Would love to see a Volvo 240 or 142. ^^ Edit: Look at these things -

Almost perfectly summed up in my view. -
Yep, that's how things go on forums. I just wanted to point out that a claim is no argument. To elaborate on your claim an argument is what's needed to come to a conclusion. For many a claim is enough, that's why the internet is a sad place at times.
-
That was no argument, it's just a statement. For an argument you'd actually have to elaborate, give evidence or reasons to come to a conclusion.
-
How cool is that?!
-
Wait, why would you want your S5 to look like a 22B?
-
Pretty sure he has a setup for the S4 as well. I don't get why you focus so much on these tiny little things. Not worth it. The car's awesome and any other livery than McRae's is pointless in my view.

Yep, quite some understeer. You need to dial in some oversteer and you'll be fine.

Time to upgrade to a wheel then. I've said this before, it'll be a game changer. Thrustmaster is discounting their stuff, Logitech is a good wheel too and not too expensive. You will not regret it, I promise.

v1.13 driving physics update? [CM response: No change was made]
richie replied to Tigron's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
To be honest, the OP isn't very convincing. It 'sounds' like there's a lot of placebo in the mix with much fantasy. To me physics feel exactly the same as before the latest update. I have played this game almost every day since release, I think I'd notice the slightest of changes. -
All good, can't blame you for not reading the description.
-
You wouldn't recommend it, yet you recommend it in the bug thread? Didn't think of set-ups being deleted as well. Oh well. Not that my set-ups were that special or something. DAMN IT! 😂

bug reports DiRT Rally 2.0 - Version 1.13 Bug Reports
richie replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
Yup, same here. Not sure if I understood. Maybe just explain what the next steps would be once you started a scenario on any difficulty lower than 'very hard'. -
I don't know why you paid €40 for season 3 + 4. The Deluxe Content Pack 2.0 cost me €26,99 back in September.

"Fun" cars in Dirt Rally series - yes or no?
richie replied to Yaggings's topic in DiRT Rally Series Suggestions
A 2CV would be really nice! Something like this beauty maybe: -
Chris Harris isn't just a journalist. He's also an actual real racing driver for Garage59 (I think bronze rated iirc) in the GT World Challenge, former Blancpain GT Series, so it's safe to say you can give this guy your car and be sure he's not going to smash it into the next wall. ^^ He also competed in the Formula Ford, VLN and the Porsche Cup.

This is how a restrictor looks like. Making it smaller means reducing its diameter which results is less air flow, less air means less power.

A 60/40 Asphalt/gravel balance is what most tracks have. I thought they'd go for the usual clockwise route you have at Nürburgring GP, but yeah, maybe it's better this way. It doesn't look like an exciting layout tbf, at least this is my first impression.

The guy who has been spamming the forum with the same thing for months doesn't like spam. Ironic.

People like to quote famous people but just because they are/were champs it doesn't mean their words make always sense. Often quotes are not even accurate or the meaning gets 'hijacked' and the original real quote gets lost. Most used and misunderstood quote has to be the famous Senna quote 'If you no longer go for a gap that exists you're no longer a racing driver'. For many people this is the legitimation to basically divebomb everywhere, but Senna admitted 1 year after that interview with Jackie Stewart for some spiritual reasons that he lied. He took Prost out on purpose to secure his championship so basically there really isn't anything heroic about this quote, on the contrary. 'Group B was for men' is just a complacent and arrogant line. Nothing more. Röhrl said and still says the same. The guy left Audi back then because they started building 4 cylinder cars for DTM. Hard to beat such stubbornness ^^ I've said this before, every generation uses what is available at the respective time. If Kankkunen and Röhrl would've had the choice to use better and more modern technology for their cars they wouldn't have declined the idea for sure. People like to romanticise things later on but the Group B era was terrible. The cars were absolute beasts but many people died, I think we shouldn't forget that. I believe that later champs would've been just as fast as Kankkunen if they had emerged in the Group B era.
