    HowManyDuels?

You've been playing a while. You've done a lot of racing and completed a lot of laps and only now you are questioning the purpose of continuing to play? Time to go cold turkey. Kick the habit. Codemasters want new gullible players with money to spend. They have nothing to offer you in rewards because you are not contributing financially. So the game is at a standstill for you. That won't change.
  2. I've been playing all year. My enthusiasm has dwindled to zero because the game is fundamentally flawed. Broken. Ill conceived. It's focus is on how to make money now. There is no plan for future development. Every aspect of game play that the community of users has suggested has been ignored. There is no enjoyment in endless cycles of one lap races against opponents who do not follow rules. There is no enjoyment in receiving penalties for the erratic behaviour of AI cars. If there is to be an F1 Mobile 2020 it must be a significant format change and our existing cars and accrued points must follow us into the new year. If not, the game is dead.

    Big update?

I keep hearing about people being locked out of the game. This has not happened to me. I would like it to. Please help if you can.

    Big update?

Firstly, the update has stolen my Ferrari. That sucks. Secondly, can anyone find the simple answer to what the off season Esports is all about and what they mean by performance capped to 800? I don't know where to find my PI that matches anything like 800. I have a Performance indicator of 1810. Is that going to be throttled back to 800? Okay, I can do that, but exactly what am I doing with it? Grid starts, Sprints or Qualifying? Over how many laps? Just 1 as usual?

    Real Racing 3

It's very telling that many of the F1 Mobile regulars are playing RR3 for its alternative universe of entertaining gaming. It's recent inclusion of Formula 1 cars and numerous racing challenges highlight something we have been saying for a long time. That this game is bereft of ideas. For me personally, it has become a dreary car collecting game with extremely infrequent rewards. By contrast I can play six, 3 lap races in RR3 and upgrade my engine or aerodynamics or tyres. RR3 moves quickly and progress is swift. Codemasters are going to lose the gaming war in 2020 if they don't re-evaluate their model. Which is tragic, given that "this" is the official F1 game.

    Cheating

I took a few days off thinking I'd come back and feel refreshed. No. I'm sick of the rubbish that is this game. I just lost eight straight races. I have a very well fitted out full aero Ferrari but even assuming I survive the smash up Derby aspect of the race I am still too slow to compete. There is no skill in this game when you're constantly shunted off the track at any random corner. I don't know how guys like CorsareNL reach the stage they get to, but I'm not buying into any paid systems for Codemasters to deliver this ****. Oh nice. Censored the word C for cat R for rat A for Apple and P for Peter. Honestly? what is this? Kindergarten?

    Big update?

The FAQ won't load for me. It's blank, so I'm in the dark. But I'm still in shock coming back from RR3 where the racing was free flowing instead of this penalty, slow, corner cut, slow, rammed off track, slow, touched a butterfly, extra slow.

    Big update?

All that aside, the state of gameplay remains at "officially atrocious" with absurd fields of bots, engine penalties for others offences and corner cutting for veering away from the middle of the road. Improvements = zero.

    Oh, the feels... 😊

This time it's not the Gold barrier, but the M$ requirements. I've noticed a pattern of getting to the last race of each day and being just short of increasing your power requirements to proceed, courtesy of the very well placed limit of earnings you can obtain daily. I will admit I made a small purchase to just get me over the line and own a Haas the first time, but it is far from a fully upgraded car. However, even this underpowered car was able to finish the 2019 Champion Series of 15 races very quickly. This time I am racing at Silverstone with a Ferrari and I don't believe I will be able to finish the event in the allowed time frame without a small purchase. Is it worth spending the money? To answer this question, I must look to what the future of the F1 category offers and it's bleak. I can redo the already completed series in my Ferrari. Not interested. I can compete in the Invitational Series, but this is for fully upgraded cars only and at the exponentially growing rate of upgrades, I can't even guess at what sort of M$'s I will need to spend on the Ferrari. And then you're faced with the prospect of only partially completing the series because you only have one fully upgraded car. Then, assuming you complete all five series in time you can "race the Safety Car" I mean what? I honestly have no idea what this means. All in all, despite some very good racing and enjoyable cars to drive, I don't think this leopard has changed its spots. RR3 continues to be prohibitively costly and with too many limitations on upward mobility... meaning you quickly hit the "Okay, that's finished, came first in every race, now what?" sense. It seems RR3 is destined to go back in the cryogenic chamber to be downloaded again when I've forgotten about its core tenet of acquiring every possible cent of its customers bank accounts.

    Real Racing 3

I am sick of the "donkey and the carrot" trick Codemasters use to keep us playing. Continuing the belief that the one elusive card will upgrade a part and finally you will be fastest on the straights. Yet every time my car has improved the AI are still faster. At least with RR3 you can see the effect of upgrading straight line speed or cornering. At the higher levels F1 Mobile stagnates and offers the player nothing but more cards for common parts and still we're limited to single lap races, often not much more than 60 seconds. I spend longer brushing my teeth.

    Real Racing 3

I declare an official mutiny! Abandon this sinking ship and board the good ship SS Real Racing 3!
  12. Dr Zaius

    Oh, the feels... 😊

I hope they add them. RR3 has better capability to adapt quickly compared to F1 Mobile which didn't even have 2019 cars until halfway through the season. Plus there are two new tracks to design. Will Codemasters and Eden get those up and running with new cars by March 2020? I have my doubts.

    Oh, the feels... 😊

Looking forward to this too. I have about six more upgrades to complete my Haas. Should finish it during Silverstone. Wish I'd picked a different car now. I'll never have two million coins for a car. Hopefully they'll add the existing F1 tracks they already have to the list like Spa, Austria, Catalunya and Hockenheim. Any others?

    Season End Rewards

The 2019 F1 Season ended last week. Why are we waiting a month for our rewards? To improve our results? Does Sebastian Vettel get to redo races to improve his position at the end of December? Could it just be a desperate last minute attempt to raise a bit more revenue? No. Surely not. That could be interpreted as unscrupulous.....a blatant money grab. And on the topic of the season ending wouldn't a word from Codemasters, a message or statement, to congratulate those that competed and by spending their cash, kept the game and it's developers in business be appreciated by us all? And perhaps even a hint at what they plan for next year or even what they intend to offer players during the off season. But as has been the case in recent months they don't really speak to us here anymore. Little wonder we are disengaging from the game.

    Wins and Losses

Does anybody get the feeling that the game is designed to give you a certain amount of wins and then takes them away with as many losses? I just spent an hour or so and was experiencing a series of wins on easy tracks with easy opponents, that gave me a couple of hundred or more points. Then, as is normal I had a connection failure and upon restart, all I got was Grid starts at Monaco, Monza, Singapore..... all against anonymous number 22 Player cars and didn't stand a chance as they raced to the lead and I was rammed into a wall by a bot and destroyed. Result was a loss of more points than I'd just won. So, are we just being manipulated by an algorithm? Is it just a slot machine with wheels? Designed to pay out enough to make you think you can beat the game, but ultimately you lose.

    2020 start situation

I went for the Haas as well. Knowing how RR3 operate, the upgrades for Mercedes or Ferrari wold cost more. One drawback I just experienced is that having raced Abu Dhabi on RR3 intensively for the last few days, coming back to F1 felt so weird. I might even use the term "unrealistic"

    Priceless.

    Improving Top Issues - Duels

Do you find the competitions much more engaging? Not to mention challenging and truly realistic. The variety of race formats is such a breath of fresh air after the humdrum 1 lap duels over and over. Even though we just have Abu Dhabi at present, I love the idea of the safety car on the track! It brings a new dimension to the experience. And challenges like managing tire wear make for some fun racing. It just makes Codemasters look like lame ducks with no new ideas. I urge anyone who likes F1 racing.... download RR3 now!

    2020 start situation

I am finding it immensely enjoyable. If it stops, so be it. But let it be known to Codemasters that this is how an F1 game on a mobile device can be delivered to the player, in fairness, competitiveness and still with an incentive for the developer to hold and retain players. Watch and learn Eden! RR3 have stolen your supremacy as the leading supplier of real Formula 1 racing. Sorry. Goodbye until you match your competitor because you are going to lose followers en masse. Au revoir!

    Improving Top Issues - Duels

Try Real Racing 3! They have a new F1 format and with careful use of their racing credits (using the daily race with the basic car on loan) you can climb up the tiers without spending cash. The racing is brilliant!! So far they have five circuits with Abu Dhabi currently, but it's light years ahead of Codies circuit. The racing is "real racing" without AI killer cars, you can break late, cut inside an opponent and not get a penalty for cutting the corner slightly. I'm declaring a mutiny!!! Abandon F1 Mobile. Show them we've had enough and that another team has a better F1 game.

    Wins and Losses

I'm calling a spade a bloody shovel now. It's happening again. Passed 5,000 then easy going. Hit the next hurdle and it's the same thing. All Grid and Sprints and the most incredulous things happen. Actually impossible things happen. Example: Grid start Austria. I get a perfect start, pull away from 6th to 2nd on the last right corner. Thought about going up the inside but why risk it when my opponent was in 10th and 8 seconds behind me. I get rear ended and despite getting back on track almost immediately, my opponent races past to beat me. From 8 seconds behind and I only lost a second or two to still finish 4th but suddenly 8th gets 2nd. I hate this game.

    2020 start situation

Didn't take long to remind me why I stopped playing RR3. You quickly reach a stage where if your power rating isn't high enough you can't compete and the only way to boost your power is to pay. A lot. I mean a very large amount. You might guess that maybe a $79 pack will get you a car that you can move forward with but you're just as likely going to find that you'll hit the "insufficient power" brickwall again pretty soon and this time $79 isn't going to cover it, but you'll think, "well, I've come this far" and eventually that car has cost you as much as a PS4 plus Gran Turismo with all the hardware accessories.

    2020 start situation

I just gave RR3 a go. Wow! This feels real. There's room to overtake, no corner penalties when putting a wheel on the grass. The entire architecture feels opened up compared to the tight, claustrophobic atmosphere of F1 Mobile. I won't be able to afford a fully upgraded car, but I'll stick with it until I hit the ceiling. But Codies, take a look at how this game should be.

    Suzuka 52510 Silver...***

Was almost tempted by the allure of the half price season pass and have a go myself at picking up some better times, but then I noted the season end is 31 December, so I'd have four weeks to lift myself from tier 1 Silver into Gold. I compared the rewards and it's a few more cards and credits, nothing more. So I'll pass on the Pass. Still wondering what Codies have up their sleeves to try and keep us playing during the off season. I hope they can think of something. It's only been the Events that have given me anything like an adrenaline rush. Although that is a side effect of my prostate medication. Which reminds me.... gotta go!

    Wins and Losses

I was going to say that in my post but thought it might make me sound a bit like a paranoid and disgruntled postal worker. The reason I was peeved about the sudden loss of points was that I was sailing to 5,000 points. From about 4,700 I reached 4,990 in an hour. Then the game froze on me and my near 5,000 went back to 4,800. It definitely felt like the game saw that marker as an obstacle or deterrent to push me back down the ladder.
