  1. Well of course when trying now I could not get the problem to appear. First I though, wow, they may have actually fixed this in the latest patch. But, then I saw it's been released almost a week and I raced and experienced the problem yesterday, so most likely not that. My memory isn't the best so it might be I only have the problem online, can't really say for sure. So it may take a while but when I've tested this further I will post the results here.
  2. This could work for race starts but might by hard to achive at quali. But race starts is what mainly concerns me so thanks a lot for the suggestion. I'll give it a try this evening.

When beginning a one-shot qualifying lap or at the start of any race, after I gain control of the car I have no ffb in the wheel (Thrustmaster TX updated to latest firmware) until something forces a reaction from the wheel, such as me turning the wheel a bit more than I'd like, or a maybe a larger bump in the road surface. Then there is a sudden jerk in the wheel when the ffb kicks in. After that all is then fine for the rest of the lap and race. This usually isn't much of a problem, just annoying. Recently though I've started to race F2 and here it can become a bigger issue, especially in the wet. On a wet track a jerk in the wheel at the start of the race often results in me loosing control of the car making it go sideways. And at a start of a race even slightly sideways spells disaster not only for me but also the rest of the grid. And no I'm not talking about problems with the throttle. I can handle that good enough, though it took some practicing. Anybody else experienced this? If I remember correctly the problem existed in F1 2018 as well, but since there were only F1 cars I could live with the problem. Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Mentioned in first post, this problem is on the X Box One X. Yes I thouht I saw they mentioned they couldn't replicate the problem. That's why I suggest they try whatever fix the did a year ago with the old 2018 game. This helped me at least on many if not all tracks. Looking at the reoccuring problems in general from earlier games I would guess that this part of the code is very similar and the problem likely related to the same problem they hade in the old game. But that of course just that, my guess.

    And now Australia as well... Would be nice to know that it's under investigation. If Codemaster cannot replicate the problem I suggest trying the same solution as last year? The problem is exactly the same anyway, though of course I cannot say the cause is the same. But the likelihood pretty high, and should be worth a try?

    I've seen some posts regarding this for F1 2019. The same problem occured in F1 2018 This got resolved for me after quite a while (but not for everyone apparently). However it's back for me in F1 2019. Right now Dubai International, Baku, Austria, Monaco and Hockenheimring are affected. But more may happen at anytime (It has grown gradually). I can set new times at other tracks but not these. No ghosts shows up on the tracks affected. Quite annoying when trying to improve your time on a track. Xbox One X , F1 ver 1.18

    Well if we are playing that game I was referring to all the forums at Codemasters (as can be seen in the url actually), not just the f1 forum. Semantics I guess. I thought I would include both plural forms to avoid people nitpicking, but I guess that failed unexpectedly. 😛 Not saying that I don't make mistakes, English is not my native language after all. I actually appreciate the feedback.

    I've finished my testing of presets for each track. Yes some Optional times are faster that the main ones. A simple answer to this in most of those cases is that I adjusted my wheel settings and it (plus practice) made me slightly quicker, and I have not the patience to run all tracks again. Also remember that you cannot go on lap time alone. If you are one or two tenths faster on average I doesn't matter if you also makes too many mistakes on average with that preset.     Anyway... Since the main thing for me is that the steering ratio is correct, i.e. SL, I concluded with my (very limited) mathematical skills that SL 40 and SS 20 are basically the same as SL 20. And as mentioned earlier I have had a hard time finding good FFB settings and since I did some adjustments to the steering I had to re-test the FFB as well. These will probably be my last changes. I'm happy with the settings, and I'm have spent way way too much time on this already.     Ok I realize my trustworthiness regarding this is starting to wear thin since I keep posting different settings. I can only say that I try the best I can and have put a lot of effort into trying out many different configuration in my pursuit to find something that just feel right and great and still allows me to drive safe and fast. Since I've done the work I might as well post the results. Easy enough to try it out and discard if not your cup of tea. Steering Linearity: 40+-2 [40] Steering Saturation: 20+-2 [20] Brake Saturation: 16+-4 [16] FFB Strength: 106+-4 [106] On Track Effects: 5+-2 [5] Wheel Damper: 0 [0] Understeer Enhance: On Maximum Wheel Rotation: 360 Braking Assist: Off Anti-Lock Brakes: On Traction Control: Medium All other settings default. If you want to test SL and SS yourself I recommend turning on the racing line (while testing) and try not to deviate from it during the laps you do. Tracks that are great for testing this at high speed are Mexico and China and at low Monaco and Baku, Melbourne is kind of both worlds as well as COTA and Canada. Silverstone and Spa are great for simply trying to take the first corner (silver) and raidillon (spa) flat out and live to tell the tale. China and Monaco and Spa are also all especially great at testing FFB on. Finally I'm afraid I have to conclude that throttle and brake settings are really hard to find anything that can be useful for other due to my set being modded. I can hardly find anything working for my own pedal set! But I posted what I wound up with in the end anyway.

    I use the assists below: Braking Assist: Off Anti-Lock Brakes: On Traction Control: Medium Sorry I have no idea what changes between the presets. Never really looked into it since I haven't done any customized setups. By the way since I posted the list a would switch the following presets/tracks: Silverstone Circuit [Short] - Increased Top Speed [Main] and Balanced/Default [Optional] (set a faster time using increased top speed now) Monza - Maximum Top Speed [Main] and Increased Top Speed [Optional] (though I have set a faster time using increased top speed; I blame that I suck at this track) Also from what I read and hear my guess is that Hungaroring should have Maximum Downforce as [Main] but I have yet get a feel for it. Still prefer Increased Downforce.

    Since these forums/fora doesn't seem to overflow with activity I thought I would at least do my part and post. I made some final adjustments and really hope these are my final ones. I have no complaint what so ever. And since I sort of abandoned the no assists path I didn't need to compromise as much. Just as before the SL and SS settings goes in pairs, eg SL 40 and SS 5, SL 45 and SS 10, SL 50 and SS 15. After testing all tracks I still don't know what to choose on half of them. 😛 So instead of trying to compile a list I will simply list all tracks and the two best presets, and I will leave it others to decide what to choose. On some tracks I could have done better times, such as Hockenheim, but on most it's close enough to what I would expect. Perhaps someone quicker and more consistent driver can provide a better list. I would certainly welcome one.
