Very, very, very much needed. Much bigger control for one (or more) lobby directors is a much needed addition. Mainly to restart events/change setings without rehost, remove unfair grid penalties, as well as the ability to kick people on the fly.

A detailed description of the issue. People got held in the pits for no reason and it also caused people who retired to glitch out on the straight for some reason. Platform PC What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) Latest Ranked/Unranked/Leagues Unranked Wired or Wireless Connection? Wired The amount of players in your session? 18 Were you the host? No Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? It happened for anyone entering the pits at that time yes. We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? No idea, unknown cause How do you make the problem happen? We don't know the cause. just that it probably got introduced in the last patch cause we hadn't seen this one before. Another one for the BUG BINGO though. Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here. I've been asking but people are getting tired of giving them to me all the while seeing more and more bugs get into the game... Video of the issue, including timestamps. Did you stream the session? https://clips.twitch.tv/PlainHonestAnacondaSoBayed Here's a clip, you can see it happening on the minimap (2 people are stuck there already. you can see people joining getting in the line) Here's a screenshot from the pitlane at that time:

A detailed description of the issue. Br0wnie is stationary yet the game still thinks he's driving (look at the speed) and then explodes the tires right before it stops. Can't accelerate under Safety Car
Bicarda replied to armedhylander's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
I think that's because you can apply so little throttle when it's 'capped' that kinda doing the opposite to shortshifting counteracts it a bit. Problem still persists tho. -
Can't accelerate under Safety Car
Bicarda replied to armedhylander's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
It's a very old bug and the biggest cause seems to be overzealous handholding. It happens whether you're first or not (altho if you're first and close behind the safety car it gets more profound) It even happens to cars that are still catching up to the back of the train, and results in dangerous situations when suddenly you get throttle control back. I've made multiple posts about this in the past to no avail. Come on codies. This has no place in an f1 game especially for people not running assists. It's unfair sometimes. dangerous most of the time, and immersion-breaking all the time. -
It's amazing. Also how minimal corner cuts (tire on the line) almost always result in a warning, whereas if you stay off track longer, the game lets you get away with it. All because of some arbitrary "if you go faster than the ai during your time off track you get a warning' rule) Everybody who has seen f1 knows that people don't get penalties for that like, ever. (although they might have their laptime invalidated) Especially not while fighting wheel to wheel. Only if they Consistently cut/go wide on the same corner 3+ times the stewards are gonna start giving warning flags. They said so literally in last weeks grand prix. No f1 driver, ever, in the history of f1, has gotten a 3 second time penalty for crossing the while line by 1 millimeter, 3 times in a race, at different corners. A big help I think would be if that.. 3 warnings = a penalty system would only apply to the same corner. (and even.. side of the track at a specific corner) so nog going wide in turn 1 on lap 1, then some silly wheel to wheel action in lap 17 in turn 8 and then in the second to last lap slightly go wide somewhere else and THAT'S A 3 SECOND PENALTY FOR YOU. That's just not fun game design. Especially if we can't even see said penalties on stream.

Game Update | Developer Log | October 2020
Bicarda replied to BarryBL's topic in F1® 2020 Game Forum
Just questions all ❤️ Very much interested in answers to all these questions. -
Fair enough. I thought you were finding excuses for the game but if i was wrong in that i apologize.
-
I wasn't on about just the thing I quoted. You just start by openly wondering if it isn't their own fault which only serves to distract from the issue at hand. the state of the game. No other game I know of has any of the issues that this game has, and yet everything you say about other variables and whatnot goes for any other game as well. So as I see it, you're just trying to distract with a totally irrelevant discussion. Everything you say is true but it's NOT the reason why this game has 100x more problems than any other e-sport title.. or game in general. They had to change the weather to dry because the game isn't working They had to disable rejoining because the game isn't working The rpm glitch is still there. And that's just the things we saw from the heavily guided and censored stream. It's very clear that almost all the issues regarding online come from the lack of dedicated servers and dependancy on steam, combined with just some big flaws in the game that have become increasingly bad over the last years. This all after the BIG PRIORITY that online was said to be this year. And when someone points this out you start rambling about how hard making games is in general and how many things can go wrong turning this into a discussion that is completely off-topic.
-
The lengths you go through my man. Even the e-sporters are apparently allowed to say the game is 'not ready'. Not saying all you say is wrong or not true. but it's all beside the point.. the game IS in a horrible state and you pretending otherwise doesn't help anyone.

One simple solution for many problems in league racing
Bicarda replied to Br0wniE's topic in Suggestions
Obviously. But the engine mode ban will probably stop us from changing the fuel any longer, removing another part of strategy from the game, So OP's suggestion, as has been suggested in the beta as well ever since the introduction of this oversimplified ers system, Is that we can MAP the ers before the race (as part of the setup) so we don't have to change it during the race but we can still (more realisticallly) adapt ers deployment to the track/sector and the rest of the setup. This brings more strategy into the game, promotes practicing/trying things and finding ways to get the most out of the car, as well as fix the issue with the barely charging ers on high downforce circuits. (That we can do nothing about under the current 'it iz what it iz' system, except for running suboptimal setups that work better with the ers) -
Well then still they could easily reconnected and continued driving. But they disabled that in the e-sports build because it is too glitched to behold, and the timings at the end would be wrong and they would have a 2 second fastest lap on rejoin most likely. Also, disconnect from steam (according to the game, steam is usually fine) happens without your internet cutting out as well. but they shouldn't be dependant on steams functioning in the first place. that and this p2p solution seems only good for messing around in open lobbies and not for any serious race.

[PC] [Multiplayer] Desynced session times. (+ report codes)
Bicarda posted a topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
A detailed description of the issue. Below Platform PC What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) Steam Ranked/Unranked/Leagues Unranked Wired or Wireless Connection? Mix The amount of players in your session? 16 Were you the host? no Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? read below We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? I think it always happen to some extend. it's just not always obvious. How do you make the problem happen? By playing the game Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here. Below Video of the issue, including timestamps. Did you stream the session? https://clips.twitch.tv/ThankfulPlayfulEggplantYouDontSay 2:45 hours ago (19:00 UK) we had a league race where the end of the quali time was clearly desynced. Now we know this is always about a minute off for the streamers, which is 'not really' an issue for anyone else but them and potential viewers. (still needs fixing tho) Here, however, we have a clear example of drivers' session times being desynced as well. as in the video bellow you can see a haas driver (beevisx cross the line before the spectated car and get flagged as he does it. Yet the Williams driver can yet start his hotlap and gets a slow ai car in the way halfway through the lap. (Because the ai takes over as you get flagged, which doesn't have to be an issue if noone can start a hotlap behing you anymore anyway, But still unnescessary and the ai will keep driving indefinitely and waste tires until the actual race gets loaded) Here's the clip. https://clips.twitch.tv/ThankfulPlayfulEggplantYouDontSay Report codes from: Bica: RAPP-XDDD-XDGG-HRKG Rwaggy: CHTR-KVKC-CMEA-AMBG Kagan: HSRV-HXSR-TXCG-TRJE who were all partaking in this race. I hope this is fixed already in next weeks patch, and i think this is the same issue as the commentators time being desynced. (Which is to say,, they don't start at the same time) But otherwise hope it helps in narrowing down the issue. -
So typical how they would post stuff on Twitter and then not answer that valid question everybody asks. Suddenly no one's home anymore. Personally, I don't care at all about myteam or relative bot performance. But it is abysmal that it took so long and even more so if it won't even affect myteam. Which is how I read it. it won't affect my team at all. Not in your current save nor your next. Let's hope at least they nailed the actual 'performance' fixes mainly in multiplayer.
-
It is rather badly worded if we can take such a wide range of meaning from just the one sentence
-
The way I read it the changes won't effect myteam at all. "The Power Unit stats and prices remain unchanged in My Team, so as not to unfairly change the balance of your experience!" So I think now these changes will only be for grand prix mode. or ai online/in events and stuff.. And the Ferrari engine stats and prices won't be changed in myteam. for any of the teams. (cause they pick from the same stuff as you, and the team performances there are changing over time anyway)
-
People can't read anymore. Cause everything is a video these days. But don't pin me on it maybe you guys are right and I'm wrong.. The way I read it is early next week. (Which might be monday but i guess they don't want to make promises and have us moan again)
-
Omg this would be so hilarious... Want Ferrari to suck so bad? FINE! but only in grand prix mode 🤣 Could be they meant in ongoing saves.. but i think OP is right. and this update won't effect myteam at all. Welp. Equal cars is way more fun anyway.
-
That's not what the article says.. It says it will come EARLY in the week starting the 19th. So not necessarily monday. i still hope tho.

I think the f2's are great fun in this game and perfectly drivable without tc, And they're even more fun in the wet. You just have to be a bit more carefull with the gears. (shortshift.. but not TOO soon because the longer gears can really screw you then) They require a tiny bit more finesse but then they go slower so you have more time to react to stuff. overall I think they're a bit easier to drive than the f1 cars. They sound awesome. and are certainly a blast to drive. But yeah.. gear 1 is never usable really in general and gear 2 and 3 you want to get out of the way asap. Personally i shift as soon as i feel the slightest hint of wheelspin. although that 1 split second earlieir is better of course 😛 And general tip that's even more true in the f2's than in the f1's: Turn first.... straighten the wheel.. THEN accelerate. while keeping the wheel as straight as you can. these cars have huge torque and don't at all like accelerating while still turning. but while straightened out you can get away with almost anything
-
they said 'first half of the month' (and that ship has sailed 😛 ) There is a small unspecified delay. But it will include more fixes than just team performance. personally, I hope for Monday. This got communicated in other threads.
-
Start p2, halfway through lap 1: "okay we held position on the start..... that's not great but it's not terrible either" Like jeff is literally suggesting to people they make more dives on lap 1 or something After all these races.. he still thinks he needs to teach us how to do a race start.

I know there's bigger fish to fry now and I don't at all want to distract you guys from making the multiplayer functional and stable, But one big improvement that you could make that shouldn't be too hard to implement, is give us the option to set the wing change in the pits to 'yes' by default. For me, there is almost never ever a moment where I don't want to change the wing when I have damage, how small the game might think it is. If you lose 5 tenths each lap that is already more than enough, and even the smallest amount of damage can cost you that easily. You don't want people with wing damage that are getting overtaken to be distracted as well by navigating the menu and putting that damn setting to yes, because the game might not think your light yellow wing worthy of repairing when you do pit, and it's incredibly frustrating when you forget, or think the damage surely has to be enough for the game to understand what you come in the pit for totally out of sync with the strategy. Personally i'd either want yes to be the default, or given the option to make it the default. if once in a blue moon the situation occurs that i DONT want my wing fixed during a stop (there are some tracks where in the rain i sometimes go faster with a bit of damage.. looking at you France) I'll happily go through the effort of making my weird strategy known to the game. The 'auto' option in my view is totally unnecessary and maybe fun for gamblers but not for people in the middle of a serious race. It would save a lot of frustration/extra busywork while driving in 99,99% of the cases, if they would just always change the wing if you came in with damage, unless told otherwise.

And even there.. *cough* rpm glitch *cough's hysterically*

they must realize how much more bitcoins get sold if people actually keep playing the game tho. noone is that thick. I understand still too many people put up with this **** but this game could be 10x as popular if it actually functioned.
