    Exactly this!!!!!!!! @BarryBL the man says it. It is perfectly fine to not make it, it happens. but then you TELL US and not only after half the forum starts to riot because you're not living up to your promises. Codemasters needs to get their heads out of their asses and realize that the backlash from this is worse than backlash from sometimes coming back on your earlier statements. as long as there is proper communication going on. And the stakeholders are gonna be happier with it in the end.

    The fact that they don't come with that information on their own but it needs to get asked time and time again (and STILL we're not getting any actual answers) speaks volumes. Although it is hopefull that the patch also contains fixes... But a "sorry guys! it's gonna be a little while longer because we also want to get This and this and this and that fix in! bear with us!" Wouldn't be out of place. IMO you can postpone all you want. as long as you TELL people and not keep quiet about it and only answer when things get asked 100 times over.

    The game got released before the beta was done, let alone our opinions about it asked. That should tell you enough about how important releasing a working game is to them.. And then launch came and all they cared about was getting the in-game-purchase store to work.. even though that's the LAST thing they should have worried about.
  4. It's taking too long. It's broken since beta. you guys are an actual joke. "we make an f1 game that costs 70 euro's but can't make the lights go out for everyone at the same time" Most 1 man indie companies are doing a better job at fixing their ****. the game is dieing around you and yet you're fine having HUGE GAME BREAKING BUGS like this being 'on the agenda' Not gonna lie the company you work for, barry, are the most incapable bunch and i feel for you. They let you lie for them all the while delivering the same trash (but then worse) year after year. Release untested games and then take MONTHS AND MONTHS to fix your **** requiring us to test it all. all of us payed 70 euro's for a NON FUNCTIONING game. I blame F1 as much for putting up with your incompetence for so long. but I guess they don't care and are just greedy like codies. (i say again, 70 euro for this is THEFT until you fix it)

    This very much. If you don't even get the game to work there is no use for all of the peripherals you dress it up with. It just shows you're greedy and bad at making games. So @BarryBL any chance we'll get a roadmap of what you guys are working on and what will and won't get fixed? When will this game be worth the money we paid for it/fun to play online? Maybe one of the devs can come explain to us in detail some of the difficulties you guys seem to be having. Why so little testing is being done on your part. As someone passionate about the f1 games I just can't believe you would just let this one die out again so soon without trying ANYTHING to fix it. The speed of patching is WAY too slow for a game with this many issues/a yearly game. As said a lot of people are quitting, or leagues switching to different games. It's literally 23:59 and you guys should know this and we need a patch YESTERDAY. Honestly, what are you playing at taking so long to fix this mess? don't you get how badly this reflects on you as a company? such a waste of an otherwise great game. Talk to us, please. tell us way more often what is being worked on (and what it not worthy of your time). Don't promise us the world before launch, and then after transform back into the guy that makes us test your game for you. We want to know what you guys are doing/working on and why it appears to be NOT fixing the multiplayer, even though we got promised it would be a big priority.
  6. Sound/looks like a controller issue to me. Try to recalibrate it or set a deadzone high enough so it's exactly 0 at the resting point. (Just increase it 1 at a time until the throttle input is 0)
  7. @BarryBL Rwaggy was the host. So the video is a pov from the host. The host never disconnected. 6 other people in the session (including his cocommentator) did simultaniously lose connection to steam. The rest didn't and steam was never actually 'disconnected' for any of them.   10. A detailed description of the issue. Happens often (not really to me, but yesterday it did) Yesterday to a handfull of people at the same time. Platform pc What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) Latest Ranked/Unranked/Leagues Unranked mode (League race) Wired or Wireless Connection? Personally wireless but there's wired people who disconnected at well with the fasted glass fiber stuff. The amount of players in your session? 19 (including commentators, people are not allowed to leave session on purpose cause of chance of screenfreezes) Were you the host? Rwaggy was the host and the video i'm sending is from his POV and his report code is shown in the clip. Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? It happened to like 5-6 people. all at the same time. We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? If you play your game long enough, yes. How do you make the problem happen? Play your game. Steam was fine so we doubt it's a steam issue but if it is it's still a YOU issue and a better solution needs to be found regardless. Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here. Forgot this stuff yesterday. Report code of the Host is in the video.     But how is it looking? @BarryBL Any big MP fixes in the pipelines? Should we just be patient? or accept the broken mess we've gotten? Over the past weeks we've had a lot of races having to be restarted or postponed again. Yesterday we had a race where in lap 27-35 a handfull of people dropped from steam (but steam was fine so we blame the game) messing everything up and requiring us to postpone to next week. The screenfreezes on people joining appear to be getting worse. (I don't know if it's a p2p ping or a codies server ping we're waiting fo during the freeze but this needs fixing NOW.) This games mp is dieing faster than one can say "pitcoin", it's once again a worse ******** than last year And i don't get how you are not telling us what is being done? How are you guys crunching and crunching trying to make this game something you don't have to be ashamed of? We'd love to know and maybe it would have some people linger a while longer, knowing you're actually working on it now.and not just took our money like a bunch of thieves after promising the world and delivering nothing but more freezes, glitches, and wasted time. Like you SAID mp was gonna be a big focus/priority this time.. TELL us about how that works in your mind? when are we gonna see the fruits of that?

    Well if you're playing offline then obvs you're gonna have to deal with the limitations.. Which you're already doing by playing against bots. If you play offline you're also not gonna get your unfair penalties removed or get slaps on the wrists for actual filthy driving that the game doesn't recognise as such. No offence but i think this is more of a thing in online races where 20 people are affected by randomness than offline botraces where you can easily restart/flashback/dealwithitcauseitsjustagame And for online this stuff is a lot easier to fix by just taking it out of the hands of the game alltogether. I don't think you can ever code it in a way that is perfect for all circumstances anyway so why bother?

  17. Weird indeed. Any other input devices plugged in? (I guess not or you would play with those i guess) When you have the wasd keys set you brake and accelerate 100% all the time.. which is why you 'maintain some pace' i guess you do the throttle yourself trying to get going.. So try to find out why the brake is being applied if you're not pressing S..

  19. My god! you're doing the lords work here (and a tiny bit Codemasters work too) A true leaderboard on twitch would be awesome. For years the devs have tried their hardest but haven't been able to have penalties visible for spectators. And the twitch/discord integration for leagues too. Would make it all so much smoother and easier. Any chance you will like.. release this so we could use it too? 😉 sounds super interesting! @BarryBL @RedDevilKT @codemasters Please fix the telemetry names so this man can get it to work. It's long overdue among other things.
  20. The leaving/joining thing happened in 2019 too. As well as a horrible glitch where sometimes after someone left the hosts fps would be tanked to unplayable levels (let alone that the stutters slowed you down) I do think there were a lot less connection issues with racenet in last years game. super often now i have to reconnect.. or cant see times in time trial.. etc.
  21. That sounds like an awesome idea though! we've been looking into the posibility of more integration with twitch/the discord for a long time. Care to explain what you're aiming at with it? But yeah this just needs to get fixed. it was working in 2018..
  22. Interesting point. a lot of the screenfreezes people experience are indeed connection things. People joining/leaving, but also dis/reconnects to racenet, or sometimes even setting a new fastest lap in tt.
  23. A detailed description of the issue. I tried to make a video but it didn't work out but I can describe it in a way that, when you close your eyes, there might as well have been a video. Yesterday evening I was doing 5 lapper open lobbies. This time it was at brazil, I overtook p1 on the last lap on the first Drs straight, and he came back at me on the last (right before the finish) Now for both of us it was obvious that I crossed the line first. we crossed the line side by side but it wasn't 'photo finish' material.. lets say his front wing was at the back of my front tires. The game however, gave the other guy the win by about 0.080. Apart from the obvious issues this brings in close finishes like this, How are we supposed to trust the times in quali then? or with fastest laps? Or the same as this but when someone has a penalty and is 0.001 inside the window or just out of it. Where did this go wrong? Did he have a screenfreeze and as such the sum of his laptimes was lower than mine despite crossing the line behind me? This needs looking at for sure. What did they see? Probably. It is impossible to check for us if the game has its times straight, except in cases like this where we can visually see the **** up. I recon if you just cross the line super close to people you'll get this to happen. Obvs i've had a lot of times where it looked like the game was about right as well. How do you make the problem happen? By crossing the line really close in p1 and losing out anyway. Can you add a report code. As far as i know they were gonna add this back this year but right before release they thought better of it and thought it a better idea to have our race engineers enter all the names for the drivers themselves before every race. (In team telemetry you can do this) Seeing as we already have access to their steam names by watching the stream/playing the game with them i don't really understand why.
  25. Super small sidenote that i think this has always been the case in last years game as well but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less obvious. But there also was a trend of the people being the host having a better start than most more often than not.
