DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Are you trying to be funny, or do you really don't get, what he means? Had the same problem in greece with SUBARU Impreza 1995 today btw. -
DiRT Rally 2.0 - In-Game Server Connectivity [CM Note: Check first post]

@PJTierney Thanks for the tip with mailing them. Got my Manta 400 back within a few hours. Way faster than I thought. Unfortunately without my old stats, but at least with all unlocked engine parts, so I don't have to do that again ๐ -

Doesn't seem to be that specific, I don't seem to be the only one who lost the Manta 400 (look 1 post after mine). But oh well, I mailed like you wanted. -

Additionally I lost my Opel Manta 400 in this process somehow. All the nice stats and upgrades gone. @PJTierney Is there anything you can do, to get my Manta back? I don't wanna buy a used one from the store, because it already has stats (wich is another strange decision by CM). And only the one for km/miles driven will reset when you buy it, the others not. -

I lost my Opel Manta 400 after the update! It's showing only 64 cars right now and before the update I had 65. All the stats with the car are obviously gone, too I suppose. And for what? Changing the name in UI from german to english. Dumbest thing I have ever seen. -

I lost my Opel Manta 400 with all the stats in My Team. I had all 65 cars in My Garage, now the Manta 400 is gone and with it all the stats. X-Box One S. -

Ok, it obviously slipped through my eyes somehow, because I played a weekly community challenge, got kicked out, restarted the game and did not get any message except from "RaceNet not available". Tried 2 times more, nothing. Now I saw there is an update, wich somehow doesn't "activated" itself on game start, like it usually does on xbox one. Hopefully the weekly is not DNFed...was a rare Group B 4WD one... EDIT: Got DNFed in the 2nd stage, only for a patch that changed names in the UI from german to english...wow. -

I don't think its something that big like a free car or game mode. Probably a free livery or a feature. Or a big improvement of something. Cool would be a decent livery for the Ford Focus RS Rally 2007. -

I think, all bonus and D+ events should be DLC-related. DLC-stage, DLC-class or both combined. There are enough "normal" events for base game content. -
The 205 GTI FWD is in H2 FWD. But the Golf is just...better...I mean...sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better ๐

I think, splitting the 2000cc 4WD-class is a very good idea. But VERY unlikely. I'm pretty sure, that would cause a lot of work with leaderboards (splitting the times into different leaderboards) and probably AI. But if I could choose, I would split them like above mentioned: 2005/2006-split. The C4 Rally is just too powerful. Only the Focus RS '07 can hold up with it. Whitelisting cars in clubs would do the same and is probably less work overall. -

Event 4: Ribadelles After a pretty solid first stage I had a big mistake in the second stage. The Car was pretty heavily damaged but I made it to the end of stage 3 without bigger problems. Rest was solid, too, but nothing impressive. I would have had a good position at the end, if @PJTierney wouldn't have pulled out the server cable for clubs "by accident" ๐. All his fault. Event 5: Monte Carlo I did it again. Hit a stone very early in the first stage somewhere on the left side of the track near the wall. Was just too ambitious and tried to push hard and hit the short guard rail after the long left frontal with pretty high speed. From now on it was over really. Car smoked heavily and Phil said before the end "I think we have an engine issue". Beginning at around the half of stage 2 the engine lost power. More and more. At the end of stage 3 I barely made it to the top in first gear. Service Area said I had only around 3-5% power left ๐ Repaired what was possible and finished that mess with less power than usual. Frustrating performance from me. Not my season. Event 6: Baumholder Well...I started doing well and after the looooong straight in the beginning of stage 1 I braked too late and barely made it between the hay bales and the man standing there to avoid a immidiate reset with a time penalty. But hit a small stone. But luckily not with that much speed, so the damage wasn't that big. The rest of stage 1 and stage 2-3 were ok, but had several small mistakes. Stage 4-7 were a bit better, so I managed to finish a rally without a complete broken car for the first time since Argentina, wohooo! ๐ @SkyRex The system works like before. Spain seems to not count for anyone, so the end results are still correct. You just have to ignore the points for Spain and any points given to not finished or future rallies. I actually finished Monaco...got 4 points for more than 6 minutes and 48 seconds behind the leader ๐ ๐ฅ -
Well...the whole debate of "no multiplayer achievements/trophies in games" is a personal opinion. Many hate them, many love them. I don't like them, too. Did many, many of them between 2008 and 2013/2014 and then stopped doing them, because it's so frustrating often. Too many toxic players out there. But it's a fact they have been there since achievements poped up with the first X-Box 360 games and I don't think they will go away. In this game it's just passive multiplayer, really. And not really hard, too. I would put more difficult achievements/trophys in the game, probably much harder than this one, but not multiplayer.

Yeah, saw that too. It's like Spain never happened. The various issues with the website are slightly annoying and now this downtime on top of it. Ruined 2 club championships for me (though it's half my fault, because I tend to do them last minute ๐ ). I will do Monte tomorrow, too tired already today. I see me falling off a cliff, if I try it now ๐ -

Was pretty strange at first, seeing an RHD Opel Ascona 400 in the game. I mean Walter Rรถhrl won his second title with it...in an LHD! And it's an Opel...you know, we drive on the right side of the road...*jumps into cover* thihi ๐ And it was worth it. -

You are always very fast and on top of the leaderboards or crashing so heavily, so you're completely out of the event ๐ Championships won't be won like that. Did heavy mistakes by myself the last few rallies ๐ -
I agree: - there should be much more delta dailies in general - there should be more group B 4WD dailies I don't agree: - to make any achievements easier Achievements/Trophys have the name, because you have to accomplish something for it. I absolutely HATE the mentality of making everything easier, so the noobs can do it too. It ruined nearly every Nintendo-game for me. Just no to that. That "I have a real life"-argument is absolute bs. If you don't have the time, just don't do it. These kind of things are made for people with skill and/or lots of time. Just accept, you can't have everything. The Achievements/Trophys in this game are already way easier than in the first one. It's just this single one that you actually need a bit of skill to achieve and you wanna have it lowered in difficulty, too? No! I would put Achievements/Trophys in the game (not all, but at least a few) that need skill, effort and patience. Not just do this and that once and done... And no. I am not a "hardcore simracer". I play on a xbox one s with the standard controller. I am by no means fast enough for the top guys. And as a tip to identify delta dailies: My Team -> any daily -> press RT (xbox) / R2? (ps) to see if there are just 2 classes (delta daily) or 4 classes (normal one). Fun fact: There is currently a delta daily and a daily for Group B 4WD, but seperated ๐

๐ฅ Really strange, that you have to ignore the points given on the future stages. But the rest seems to be accurate. Is the bug posted in the bug reporting thread? Could be just the points from the last championship, wich are not reseted or something. -

Event 3: Powys Well...that was an absolute mess. As soon as I entered the woods in the first stage I made one big mistake after another. I misjudged the grip level several times and crashed into trees. The engine was already smoking at the end of the stage. The second stage was ok, but in the third stage I made another big mistake and the engine was done after around the half. Made it to the finish, repaired what I could and tried to just finish like in New England. The car was so heavily damaged, after every bump and jump it behaved unpredictable. In stage 6 I somehow got stuck beside the road for several seconds and had to reset to the road and got 8 seconds time-penalty for that. Stage 7 was ok, my speed was good, but the car not. Meh.
