    @BarryBL I would also like to know how this will be handled.

    I watched this thread for the last two weeks in hopes of an positive update and tried to be patient.

    Now with the start of season two, I would like to know, if it makes sense to still hope for a positive solution for all affected players.
    Doesn't make sense to start season two for me, if there is a chance not getting the reward at the end, because of a bug.

    Not sure if that would have worked.
    The PCARS 3 seems to be more oriented to the casual player than PCARS 2.
    They should have just called it "Project CARS: [insert title here]" and not PCARS 3, because now it looks like a slap in the face for all the fans of the simulation part of PCARS 1 & 2.

    Now it looks the series is going the casual way like Forza Horizon 4 and The Crew 2, wich it does.
    And theres no way back calling it PCARS 3.

    Lie. I'm the best example.
    Didn't liked many aspects of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 and DiRT 3.
    I never really played much DiRT 3, because I was annoyed about that awful design back then.

    And I'm still mad at Codemasters for closing down the tournaments...and not giving everyone the achievement for competing in 4 (was at 3 before they closed down).
    But thats a different story.

    I believe there is just one stock setup for each car in the game per location for all game modes.
    Don't see the point of multiple stock setups, cost more work for what?

    In terms of tyres and spares I'm not 100% sure.

    You can't choose spares in Time Trial, so I don't really know if the car runs with a spare in Time Trial or not.
    Same for World Series qualifier, I'm not sure how it's there.
    I don't even know, if having a spare or two really effects the weight in the game, meaning if it is really simulated.
    My driving is too inconsistent to test that 😄 

    If you can't choose the tyre compound in World Series qualifier, there is a good chance we run on mediums.
    And mediums have definitely less grip.

    No. You can use setups in Time Trial.

    No. In World Series qualifier it's always stock. No setups allowed.

    It is Jon Armstrong's time driven in Time Trial in perfect conditions (currently 106th place as of writing with cross-platform leaderboards enabled).
    I'm sure he can drive much faster in the Kadett, and even faster in the Escort. Was probably just a quick run for the video.
    He is just a tenth faster than me currently, and he is much better than me.

    In Time Trial you can only run in perfect conditions, but you can do a custom championship and choose the degradation level as you wish.
    But I don't know wich level of degradation this championship run is on.
    None, low (Time Trial conditions), medium, high and max are the options I think.

    I think DiRT 5 is trash.

    But not because it has more "simple" driving physics or because it's not a rally game.
    It's just because how this game looks.

    This game just tries too hard to be a Forza Horizon 4/Fortnite in terms of style etc.
    Like The Crew 2 did.

    I just can't stand these awful straight in your face colour bombs.
    These "everything is a big party, woohoo" hipster-games are nothing for me.

    I just hoped the main series would go back to what Colin McRae: DiRT (2007) was, just less blurry brown in brown colour maybe 😄

    I also watch WRC through WRC+, really exciting!
    Didn't know before yesterday that there is an app for it on xbox one.
    Really cool stuff happening over there.

    Estonia is a really beautiful rally, nice landscapes and fast sections through the woods 😍

    But since I'm a rally-fan basically since this year (except rally games) and have a subscription since january, I just don't know wich driver I prefer yet, lol
    Just a bit sad the Fiesta doesn't seem to be competitive at the moment.

    Do you mean WRC 8 or is there somewhere a metalbox/steelbook for WRC 9?

    The only physical version I found for WRC 9 is the simple standard edition.
    I'm a collector and always buy physical for my collection.

    4 DLCs seperately, even the Pre-Order Audi quattro A2.
    3,99€ each (wich is an "ok" price tag).
    It's cheaper to buy the deluxe edition, but if you want the physical version (like me), it's still possible to get everything.
    So don't lie to others, please.

    And from what I've seen it's an improvement over previous entries.
    Has it better car physics than DR2.0? I really doubt it.

    But definitely the better career mode and current gen WRC cars, wich is a huge double plus.
    But no Group B wich is a big minus.

    In the end I buy it anyway probably.
    But I maybe should play WRC 6 & 7 first, because they are here unplayed since years!
    And ordered WRC 8 Deluxe just 2 days ago.
    SLRE is also here mostly unplayed (bad car physics, but some unique cars in there).
    I even think about buying V-Rally 4, the only rally game (besides WRC 9) I don't own yet.

    TOO MUCH RALLY GAMES TO PLAY!

    Could have been done already with all these games, if Codemasters wouldn't have made such a great rally game, can't stop playing it.

    @MattJelonek You can buy the DLCs in the Deluxe Edition seperately. I've looked in the Microsoft Store for X-Box, should be the same for other platforms.

    I wouldn't give much on what this guy says, pretty aggressive defending of something means either fanboy or advertising.
    Quite childish behaviour.


    I ordered WRC 8 Deluxe Edition from the WRC-Shop yesterday.
    If this is any good, I may buy WRC 9, too.
    I don't expect it to be as good as DR2.0, can be more arcady, but it must be authentic.
    And I heared good things regarding career mode.

    I own already all previous WRC games, but didn't played WRC 6 and 7, because...I don't know...can't stop playing DR2.0 😄
    Won't buy DiRT 5, because I don't wanna get eye cancer.

    And that on mediums? Crazy!

    @Dytut Same picture here like in Australia I guess: Faster in the 2nd leg, but lost too much time in the first.

    I did my run last night and I was pretty tired. At the beginning I thought I was ok, but lost a bit focus going through.
    Did several mistakes in the 2nd leg, one of them was not far away from being a fatal crash: Was already on the cliff going down, but managed to save it last minute.

    The tyres were ok, had a bit grip loss in SS3 & 6, but not as bad as in Australia.

    Nah, you're faster than you think.
    It's not that easy for me to beat you.
    In Australia I had just not as many problems than you.

    But I like the idea of having a league system, gives you motivation to push, even if you don't fight for 1st place.

    Was obviously the right decision, 3rd place is not bad for so many problems with the car!

     

    I had a solid run.
    SS3 was very difficult, felt no grip at all and crashed twice before half of the stage was over, so I stopped pushing hard and made it to the end.
    Still had 1-2 smaller mistakes, but was very happy seeing the finish then 😄 

    2nd leg @Dytut was definitely faster, but had a good gap to him.
    Last stage he did a mistake, so easy to defend first place.

    Overall it was obviously good for me, but was definitely not the fastest here.

    The VIP challenge actually says "session" in german, despite it being not really a german word, but it is common.
    In our country it's pretty clear, because we would use other words if we would mean just 3 fastest laps.

    And you actually brought me to the idea to try a GP race with all trainings and qualifying sessions, but it didn't worked either, so I had to give up, because it was very late already.

    My theory is, that 1.08 broke some challenges connected to GP-mode.
    Maybe not all, but some.

    I had 8/10 already when I attempted to complete it, so I already did some of them several weeks ago.
    So it broke on the way somewhere.

    All the other challenges that only work in GP-mode didn't unlocked either, like "win a race with Max Verstappen in Grand Prix".
    Same for Russel and Kvyat wins.

    I just hope they don't come up with "sorry, too late" or something like that.

    @BarryBL I don't know the exact name of the challenge in english, but it must be "GP with variety" or "GP variety". Description of the challenge is: "Drive in total 10 different cars in Grand Prix".
    Was on the "Solo" tab of the series challenges (upper row in the middle).

    Made pictures of them in the first post.
    I have also more for the VIP ones not unlocking.
    But I only want the livery from these season 1 series challenge, because I played quite hardcore for that the last days.

    But the Podium Pass is not accessible anymore due to the time being expired.
    I still hope for a solution.
    There are more reports of challenges (series and VIP) from others over the weekend wich didn't unlock.

    I feel slightly offended.
    It says "sessions" in german, wich means different Trainings/Qualifyings/Races.
    So I did, nothing in Grand Prix-Mode.
    In Career it worked, first 2 I got in My Team (Quali and Race), the 3rd in Driver Career (in Quali).

    And now I'm worried we get a solution, because @BarryBL just ignores the reports, seeing he answers almost everything, but not these topics.
